We had an excellent experience with otter moving company. Luca and his team were professional, fast, and extremely reliable from start to finish. They handled all of our belongings with great care, making sure everything arrived safely and without damage.

The pricing was very reasonable, and there were no surprises throughout the process. Luca was especially helpful, communicative, and attentive, making what could have been a stressful move feel smooth and easy.

The movers arrived on time and handled the move efficiently. However, they damaged part of my couch during the move. When I contacted Otter Moving about the damage, they claimed the movers had never disassembled the couch and therefore could not have caused the damage. That statement was false; the couch is a sectional, and they did disassemble it in order to move it. The move itself went smoothly, but I was disappointed by how the damage claim was handled. Overall, the experience was just okay, and I would recommend trying a different moving company.

Twice now I have used Otter Moving and twice i have just been overwhelmed by their professionalism. The contact person was very understanding and explained the process clearly. The movers were all extremely considerate and careful with moving the furniture. They were also communicative about delays and overall it was a very simple and relaxing experience both times.

Couldn't have had a better move. John and Advin (?) were great. They managed to tetris my stuff into a small storage unit. The price was the best of all the quotes I got. Amazing. Make sure to tip these great movers too. Edit/update Jan 2024 to June 2026 - I always use these guys for moving in NYC. They are the best. Also it doesn't hurt that each one is attractive 🤫

Boris and his team (#64) was very efficient in terms of assisting my mom and I with transferring out stuff from out storage unit to our new apartment. Despite us living on the second floor, with no elevator, they were able to maneuver well up the stairs. I would recommend this moving company to relatives and friends once the opportunity presents itself. Thank you again you guys!!

When I first saw all the 5-star reviews I was a little worried they were incentivized—nope, Otter is just that awesome. I’ve moved within the city a few times in my life, and this was the easiest and cheapest by far. Nikola and his team were super responsive, efficient, and reassuring every step of the way. I can’t recommend them enough.

Kemo was phenomenal to work with at Otter moving — very friendly, helpful, careful with all my items and the move was so efficient and fast. Furniture was wrapped, boxes were retaped, and they were very thorough. I would definitely recommend their service and am so happy I chose Otter for moving.

Matt and Rocky truck 62 helped me move a studio. I would not use this company again. Everything eventually got to where it needed to be, but the mover acted like it was a burden to move items. I caught them on the 3-6pm arrival time so I’d don’t know if they had a long day, but the cranky attitude and approach to tipping was not for me. Also, updating my review because the mover was looking over my shoulder and forced me to leave a strong review the first time.

I had a great experience with Otter Moving Company & Storage. Crew 32 was excellent — they were friendly, easy to communicate with, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled properly. They arrived quickly, worked efficiently, and got everything done smoothly from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Otter, and especially Crew 32, to anyone looking for a reliable moving team. Great job!

Moving is usually a huge hassle, but Luca from truck 44 made it an absolute breeze. Their team was incredibly communicative every step of the way. I was impressed that they arrived slightly before our 12 PM slot to beat the traffic and get a head start on the day. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Thank you for a genuinely smooth move!

My wife booked their services for a move 1-block over. The operator/sales rep, Daniel, assured her that they were capable and able to move a combination of both bags and boxes. On the day of the move, the movers said they were unable to move bags along with the boxes and were unwilling to move the boxes that were packed and ready to go.

My wife called the company to get clarity on why they aren't actually moving our things and why they were taking pictures of the apartment without our consent and passing them along to whomever. The operator was condescending to her, laughing, and told her we were wasting their time as they had over 200 other moves that day. Since they were unable to provide service, we told them they were no longer needed. They didn't email or follow up to provide a refund or even an apology. I've called them multiple times and no on has picked up. The day of the move was our last day in the apartment. Thankfully, we were able to find another moving company at the last minute would fulfilled the move.

Otter Moving & Storage are like used car salespeople. Predatory, and say whatever is needed to get your money. Never again.

Fantastic move experience. Professional, on time and no stress! Would use again without hesitation. Stuff for 4 students, out of NYU dorm, to storage and then to off campus apartment. Saved us going up and down stairs in a 4th floor walk up. Could not have been smoother or easier. So easy to work with.

Highly recommend Otter Movers. They moved me from the UES to Astoria and everything from booking to delivery was seamless. Booking with Sam was easy and David and his team (Truck #34) moved my items quickly and without a hitch. They were very affordable compared to other experiences my friends have had.

2026- Ahhh the ease that Tony provided. Already having my stuff in the system, made this second time a breeze!!!! This time Viktor and Angel worked efficiently and with calmness and determination to make the 4th floor move feel effortless. Viktor went above & beyond to help me tighten screws on older furniture, and he and Angel helped me throw out furniture I wasn’t taking with me. Above & beyond service!!!

The price was right!!!! Received a discount for being a repeat customer! This company is the BEST! I will always recommend them to anyone & use them in the future, when needed!

Stay far away from this company. Extremely rude and unprofessional !!!! They keep trying to charge you more as they are working. And they don’t care about your stuff at all. They drive like they are on a race track Stay away I wish I could give 0 stars

I had an exceptional experience with Alex (truck#60) and his colleague today! From start to finish, they were punctual, efficient, and incredibly professional. They handled everything with great care and worked quickly without compromising quality. Their positive attitude and attention to detail made what could have been a stressful moving day completely seamless. Kemo and his team were beyond fantastic. So easy to work with — right from the start of asking for a quote, all the way to the end, completing the move. They were fast, friendly and caring, and I really admired how well they worked together to compete the job. I cannot recommend them enough, and for any future moves I have, I know who I’m calling.

Moving with Otter was a 10/10 experience. Alex was very helpful in scheduling and planning the move. He gave us a decent rate. On moving day, Miles and the crew were on time. They worked fast and efficiently, and kept all the items safe. They unassembled the furniture and then reassembled at our new place. Overall, I am very satisfied with the moving experience. 100% worth it and recommended.

We moved a two bedroom apartment in New York to a nearby location in midtown Manhattan. OTTER moving company had great reviews online. They certainly lived up to their reputation. Everything was professional from start to finish. They arrived on time and did a great job! They were highly efficient and moved everything without a scratch or ding. I would use them again in a minute and give them the highest recommendation! I wish we could give more than a five star rating because I would give them 10 stars!

Kemo and Alex helped with my move and they were absolutely amazing. They were quick, efficient, and went above and beyond to make it the easiest process. Kemo went so far as to insist on fixing a broken piece of a bed frame that we found out about during loading. Moving is so stressful for me and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help.

Lucky and team were the absolute highlight of our move. The process was extremely stressful for reasons totally unrelated to Otter and Lucky was flexible, fast, and efficient. I couldn’t say enough good things about them and I will absolutely be using them again.

Team 32 was the most amazing moving crew I have ever witnessed in my entire well-being. I will use this company over and over again. I suggest a lot of people do. They were kind of sufficient and they didn’t have a problem with anything and they were very, very sweet and I would recommend them to all my friends

Peter & the 57th truck have been amazing. They moved basically my two floor house from NJ to NY. They made my whole move stress free. Everyone was friendly and very professional. I am thoroughly impressed and will definitely use them for any future moves I have. Can’t thank them Peter and the 57th truck enough. 10/10 seriously.

Five Stars for Lucky and his Team! When I tell you Lucky and his team did an Amazing job moving us in! From beginning to end there was nothing bad I could say. Lucky immediately got to work and made us feel comfortable about that fact that we were still packing. I had anxiety about my kitchen because it seemed so overwhelming, but Lucky had this one young man who literally pack my entire kitchen for me! Communication during the entire move was stellar! I really dont plan to move again but if I do OTtER IS MY CHOICE! Thank you a million times!

Boris and Juan were absolute rockstars. They were remarkably kind, professional, and respectful. Every aspect of the move went smoothly from pickup to drop off. They were very organized around providing quotes, and super responsive over the phone. I never waited on hold, even when I called at 9pm. They handled everything efficiently and with care. Truck #34 and David with his partner were amazing!!!!!!! Today I moved from Long Island to NYC with Otter and had a fabulous experience. Today was 95° and the two men were disassembling, reassembling and hauling heavy furniture up tiny staircases - and did it with a smile on their faces! The heat itself should have ruined their mood, but it did not at all! They did not complain or have anything negative to say. They came and got the job done, no questions asked. They got everything in and out in 30 minutes per pick up/drop off, they were so efficient! I thought it would take hours… it was under an hour!

Had an awesome experience with Otter! I had David's team. They were super accommodating, very efficient, and super helpful with anything I asked them about the move. The process is also super smooth. Otter is very responsive and helped push my pickup time to a little earlier to help make things work out for me. Would definitely recommend and use them again!

If you are looking for a moving company in NYC look no further! I called on the phone to get a quote, the communication was extremely efficient, and seamless and the customer service was great.
I sent photos of our stuff and received a quote which was determined by an I itemized list of our things.

In the 91 degree NYC heat Matt and Rocky with truck 62 got the job done quickly and carefully. I live in a three floor walk up on the third floor, so their job was not entirely an easy one especially in this heat! They were great, super grateful to them!

All in all had a great experience! thank you!
