Zivorad and Jessica from Crew #58 were so so helpful and efficient. They dealt with all the difficulties created by our apartment buildings with no complaints. They disassembled and remade all the furniture so quickly & honestly made it better than before. Such hardworking & honest people. Cannot recommend them enough!!!

Otter Moving & Storage was very helpful with my move. Their team was very responsive, answered my questions. Peter and Ogi came on the day to move my belongings. They were careful and fast. Listened to my ideas of where I wanted belongings to go. Very happy with these movers and my move in general.

Sebastian and Gio were superstars. My move was complicated by stairs and a massive sectional and they handled it with ease. Even offered to help me toss some of the stuff I wasn’t going to bring with me. Amazing service. From Glen Cove to Upper West Side in no time. Thanks again!

Needed to move upstate. Nate helped me with quotes and what was best decision for the move. I decided to pack up everything for the move myself. Vlad was the man. He showed up first thing in the morning and went over all the details for the move.He and his crew made sure everything was organized and within 1.5 hrs the truck was ready to move. He also made sure the items that were not being moved were broken down and thrown out. They arrived to the destination and unloaded everything and were very helpful in setting things up. I really enjoyed their hospitality and kindness. Definitely a great experience. Thank you for everything you guys did for my family.

I do have reservations on the sales team as they make things difficult for the actual movers who come to pack your items. I have a treadmill that requires more technical knowledge to disassemble and reassemble. While the sales team was not able to help with this and refunded me. I now have to figure out how to get it out of my house. The five stars goes to David with Truck #34! He was very professional and handled the rest of my items with care and went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with the rest of the move that he had control over. My items were packaged and moved very professionally and in a timely manner. Thank you David.

Very poor experience. One of the movers broke off my book case cabinet door off completely and said nothing about it. As the book case was tucked away in a corner, I didn't have the chance to see it. Very dishonest and unprofessional. Most of the crew cannot understand English. Communication was very difficult. Lots of hand gestures. Called and emailed Otter about the issue. No one is answering the phone. I will never use Otter again.

Overall professional, efficient, and pleasant. Our crew consisted of three people, Vanja, Jose, and Gerardo who were extremely nice and helpful. They arrived on time (8:50 when the window of arrival was between 9 and 11), and got straight to work. They did not try and create side deals for discrepancies like other movers I’ve used in the past (Piece of Cake has tried to do this to me twice). The whole move was done in a timely manner as well. Communication was clear by text from the team as well as phone call and email from the company. They even called to check on how the move was going. Otter moving made a normally stressful process go smoothly. Would recommend.

Crew 63 was fantastic. Very professional and made the whole day very stress free. We will definitely use Otter Moving and refer them to family and friends in the future. If you want your move handled with the upmost care you should use Otter Moving & Storage.

Alex truck 60, these guys were really professional and approachable. They packed everything with care and were very efficient in the break down of the furniture as well as insulating from harm, I have no doubt my items will reach safe and secure. Went over the inventory list pre and post pack to ensure everything was right

Peter and team 57 were absolutely amazing!! They came in on time, and were done packing and out of the apartment within such a short time. I’m extremely impressed with how efficient they were, and would 100% recommend to anyone else moving in the city. The process was smooth and seamless and I’m very happy with choosing them. 10/10

Best movers in NYC. Very reasonable price after quoting a handful of their peers. The customer service was very helpful and cordial. We had Seba and Daniel as movers — top notch speed and careful with our furniture. Would recommend to anyone and will use again.

Kemo & Alex were without a doubt the kindest and most efficient movers I’ve ever experienced. They worked so fast, but were still so gentle with my belongings. I live on the 5th floor of a walk up and it’s summer in NYC… it’s HOT! They smiled and were so friendly the whole time! They even helped me with things that weren’t on my original inventory list. If you’re moving you have to got with Otter! Thank you gentlemen for making what could have been a stressful experience smooth and easy!

A HUGE shout out to Vladimir and Kamilo from Otter for a stellar job with our move! We had a 3-story walk up and I’m not even sure how we got some of our items up there (like the couch), but these guys found a way to make it happen. Insane work ethic. Can’t thank them and Otter enough for making our out-of-state move so seamless. Thank you!

Kemo and Alex were wonderful movers. They were very careful with all of my furniture and extremely efficient with the moving process. They were flexible with the inventory and process, and I would highly recommend them as movers and hire them again.

Alex & his team at Otter Moving Company did a fantastic job with my move. They were able to accommodate a very quick turnaround with just two days’ notice, which I really appreciated.

I initially had some concerns about paying in full 24 hours before the move, but everything went smoothly. The team was professional from start to finish, communicated clearly while they were on the way & arrived as scheduled.

We recently used Otter for our move to a new apartment, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. The team was professional, efficient, and handled our belongings with care. Overall, it was a pleasant and stress-free moving experience, and we would definitely recommend them.

Movng with Otter was the best decision I made, Micheal and Miguel was very fast, within 1hour if their arrival we were in the road. They were kind to my old mama who was asking 100 questions. Miguel literally carried my couch up a slope on his back I couldn't believe it.

If you want a fast easy move with kind men this is the way to go.

Great experience. They were really fast. As always, make sure when you first get your estimate, you go over every single thing you have (better to remove from the quote later than add and the price go up).

That said, we had to add about 20 boxes to the estimate the day before the move, and a slew of other items, and I'll say this - their prices are incredibly fair and generous.

Competitors were quoting me ridiculous amounts. These guys were good.

Team 57 was great. Despite my vacuum being left on their truck (because they had hidden and secured it so it didn't break), Pete came back at the end of the day to bring it back.

Definitely recommend considering Otter. 👍🏽

Beware - Do Not Hire
Highlights:
• Took 7 hours for a standard 2BR move-out with one mover taking smoke breaks every 20 minutes and complaining the entire time
• Damaged goods
• Left half the boxes in the living room and many others outside because the crew “didn’t want to take the stairs” (one floor up)—even though we clearly disclosed it, booked, and paid extra for a stair move
The move started well with Sasha and team on time, promising to make it effortless. It quickly went downhill. They blamed us for “too many boxes” despite Paul the sales rep’s assurances. At destination they acted surprised by the stairs, refused proper service, and left early. Communication was terrible, and Sasha mentioned quitting. Suspiciously all other reviews are 5 stars. Do not hire this company.

Miles was incredibly helpful and made it easy to secure the exact move date I wanted. The pricing was very reasonable, and the movers handled all of my belongings with great care, taking the time to properly wrap and protect everything for transport. Best of all, the entire move was completed in less than two hours. I highly recommend their service for a smooth, efficient, and stress-free moving experience!

Team 40 exceeded my expectations. They showed up on time, wrapped everything up professionally and make sure nothing would be damaged. When we got to the house they reassembled the furniture and placed everything exactly where we asked. They were quick and efficient and made the move stress-free. Would highly recommend and plan on using them again in the future.

Alex and truck 60 were so helpful and efficient! They got everything moved out of here so quickly and put in so much care to wrap up all my furniture - the entire crew was a pleasure to work with… definitely the easiest move I’ve had so far!

I had been really stressed about how to get all my stuff into storage for a few months in between my moves and Otter has made the process super easy!

The movers were on-time, careful with all items, polite and efficient when dealing with doormen, receptionists, traffic etc.
The administrators were very helpful setting things up, arranging pickup, and even helping when we had to do last minute changes of service. Great team to work with.

I moved from Manhattan to Queens with Alex and Eduardo, truck #60. It was a great process and they were both very kind! I had missed an email from Otter due to the chaos and short notice of moving, so it led to some misunderstandings on both the office and dispatch side. Alex and Eduardo were really understanding and accommodated any missing items from the inventory! The logistics and planning side of Otter was great as well, my person of contact was Nikola. Nikola made a lot of effort to work with my moving dates and building availability in my old and new apartments. Aside from miscommunication and the chaos of emails, moving with Otter was a great experience.

I would definitely use Otter again! Don’t be afraid to continually confirm inventory, time, dates, and ask whatever questions you may have.

EDIT 6/25:
After all my bins have been picked up, I wanted to come back and give an updated review regarding the whole process. My previous statements still stand about Alex and Eduardo being great. Nikola was a very helpful point of contact, however, it really seems like no one at the office communicates with each other. There were numerous times I would talk to someone from a different team and we would make a plan for the move, but it would not get relayed to another team or the movers. The bins particularly were quite frustrating as I was given time windows for drop off and pick up. The day the bins were to be dropped off, they did not get to me until a little after 7pm. They were originally supposed to come between 9am - 2pm then got pushed back to 4 - 5pm and I was notified of the 3rd (and final) time delay until I reached out when it got closer to 5pm and I heard nothing. This caused me to lose a day of packing which wasn’t ideal but I got it done. I don’t blame the movers because they can’t control traffic and how long their earlier job would take. However, I do think the office should have adjusted what moving team would drop off the bins so that they could be received within the time window I was given. When the bins were to be picked up, I was given the 9am - 2pm window again and asked to be updated of any changes due to the confusion and inconvenience from the drop off experience. They came ~45 minutes earlier than 9 am (I know, my lobster too buttery, my mattress too soft) and instead of picking up bins, brought me 30 more bins. Both the move team and I were confused on what was happening. Inconsistencies like this is why I removed a star, it was overall just frustrating to talk to the office, decide on a plan, explain building procedures and best route to unload the truck, and then have the movers be confused and look like they were never told any of it. Maybe I was expecting too much, I am always happy to reiterate to ensure everything goes smoothly but I was scratching my head at the lack of communication.

Vuk and Luka from truck 29 were great! They treated the boxes marked "fragile" with respect, were patient when I had some delays at the beginning, and even came back later in the day after I noticed I had accidentally left something with them. Really went above and beyond, and made my move super easy

Kemo and Alex were absolutely fantastic! I had more items that anticipated/on my inventory and they were so nice about it. They had a great system to make the move efficient and took great care of every single one of my items. They double-checked everything and always made sure it worked for me. Kemo even fixed my cat’s tiny couch! After working with other NYC moving companies, I would highly recommend recommend Otter and Kemo & Alex!

Luka (Truck 44) has been nothing short of phenomenal. He's professional, well-spoken, and communicates extremely well. He was also efficient and was an absolutely joy to work with overall. Could see him going places. Would love to move with Otter again.

I recently moved from Brooklyn, NY to Boston via Otter movers.
They came on time, were super professional and swift. Unfortunately, their truck got a ticket and I offered to pay but the company covered it, which is amazing on their part.
We travelled through amtrak but it got delayed a bit. Movers arrived at the place and set everything up before we got there. That was a pleasant surprise as well.
We had a fixed quote and didn’t need to pay even one dollar more than that. Having the list completely and transparently itemized played an important role in that.
I would recommend Otter movers 10/10.

I had a great experience with Otter moving and Peter with truck 57 with an interstate move. They were on time, efficient, professional, and handled all our items and our homes with care.
Getting a quote was straightforward and Nate was never pushy. He was available to answer questions, but I didn’t feel pressured to make a decision and wasn’t hammer called by the company.
We have another smaller move in the next couple weeks that we were originally planning on doing ourselves with a haul, but I just booked the move with Otter because we were so happy with our first experience.

Great moving experience; everything was very timely and professional. Not costly like many other options, while providing the same, if not higher quality of service. The agent I initially scheduled the move with, Miles, was by far the most reliable person on this journey and went above and beyond to make our needs met. Kudos for the whole team, especially Miles!

Vuk and Luka (Truck #29) from Otter Moving and Storage were absolutely phenomenal! They handled our entire move with such care and professionalism. Every piece of furniture was treated with respect — not a single scratch or ding on anything, which is huge for us.

Very nice moving team. Mark was extremely helpful in getting things organized. Even if there was some pricing confusion with the team down the line, Mark would take care of everything to resolve any issues. Moving guys were great, on time, called in advance before coming to give me a heads up of the ETA (which I truly appreciate, I don't like unexpected surprises as I have a very busy schedule); they were efficient and careful with my items. Highly recommend!
