I hired Otter for a last minute move (less than 2 weeks notice) within Long Island City / Queens. They offered a very reasonable and competitive price. Truck 34 (David & team) was assigned to my move. They were very punctual, professional and efficient, and able to squeeze in a few additional boxes with no additional cost. I am very grateful for their help making my move very smooth and would definitely recommend them to my friends!

Alex’s team delivered an outstanding experience from start to finish. Max was incredibly efficient, providing a quick quote over the phone and making sure I got the best possible price. Communication was excellent—they were very responsive with updates on their ETA, and even arrived ahead of schedule.

The team handled the entire move with care and professionalism, packing everything beautifully. When a small hiccup came up, they stayed calm, pleasant, and solution-focused. Truly a 5-star service—I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I had an excellent experience with Otter Movers and wanted to share my appreciation. The two movers were polite, professional, and clearly knew how to handle every challenge that came up.

The living room furniture included a 7-piece sectional with legs that were very difficult to remove, and they took the extra time, about an additional hour to carefully handle it without any issues. Their patience and attention to detail really stood out.

The bedroom set (queen bed with mattress and box spring, dresser, nightstand, and 65-inch TV stand) was completed quickly and efficiently. Even more impressive, everything was delivered and set up across two locations: the bedroom furniture in the Bronx and the living room furniture in Staten Island.

These guys were extremely knowledgeable and worked seamlessly as a team. Everything was set up perfectly, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish.

I had such a great experience with this moving company! Balsa and Dimi were absolutely amazing—professional, friendly, and worked so efficiently from start to finish. They handled everything with care, made the whole moving process feel so much less stressful, and were incredibly respectful of both my old and new place.

From beginning to end working with Otter has been a breeze. The booking process with Dominick was clear and easy and they accommodated last minute changes on my part. Peter and Sebastian helped me move out of my apartment and into a storage unit nearby. They arrived early and were extremely professional, efficient, and treated my items with care. Gregory and his team were beyond fantastic. I have had a previous bad experience with movers/companies, I shared as much with Tom, who was the Otter booking representative. Tom listened and reassured, but I still wasn't sure what type experience it might be. Then the truck arrived, and from moment one, Gregory and team were kind, polite, professional, efficient, and communicative, so much so that they did not feel like strangers just marching about. Rather, they felt like trusted guides, getting everything I had packed up taken care of. The day brought some unexpected challenges (weather, traffic, NYC DOT deciding to tar and pave my street), but the ability to easily pivot and adapt made even these hiccups smooth. I dont like moving. Full stop. But I loved moving with Gregory and the Team from Otter.

I recently used Otter for my move and had a solid overall experience. Great communication prior to the move and after the move.
The team arrived on time, and handled all of my items, through our random mini heat wave. Pricing was straightforward and in line with what was quoted.
While there’s always room for small improvements, I would consider using them again and would recommend them to others looking for a reliable moving service.

They made what’s usually a stressful process feel smooth and easy and at a very reasonable price. Alex was very responsive throughout the booking process and helpful when I needed to make updates to my inventory.

On moving day, Diego L and his team were fantastic,friendly, respectful of my space, and overall great to work with. They showed up on time for both pickup and drop-off and handled everything efficiently.

Great guys on the job. Why 1 star? I was quoted a 2 piece move (2 full size refrigerators). One up from garage to first floor…and one from the first floor out to side of house (7 front steps up to first floor). No issues with maneuvering room. I added a small AC to the move (garage to first floor). The entire job took 40 min…including the bickering that they came 1 hour past time window, seven signatures on the paperwork and credit card processing.

While my agreement was a binding one I could not wrap my head around time it took for the job vs. what I paid. Scott explained it all to me. Regardless of the explanation, they could have taken off $75 in good faith. They didn’t. Oh well. That’s the way it is.

Thing is? I asked Scott if he brought his car in for brakes and was quoted and charged 2 hours labor for the job, but they did the job in 40 minutes, how would he feel…he said he’d feel “very happy”.

You can hire Verrazano Movers if you wish, but be aware of minimums and/or by the piece move quotes vs. job times to complete…you may not be “very happy”.

Geroge and Ken were my movers and they are ANGELS.

We ran into issues with building management while trying to move and they were extremely patient, kind, and understanding while we figured everything out.

They even moved an extra item for us out of kindness.

Could not recommend these two enough, they were extremely professional and knew all the technicalities of moving (wrapping stuff well with padding, putting padding in the elevator, disassembling furniture we didn't know how to, and maneuvering very bulky items up a narrow stairwell up 3 flights of stairs - genuinely cannot believe how they got this furniture up here still.)

Could not be more thankful for these guys, if you go with Otter Moving (which you absolutely should) you should for sure request these two gents. Turned an incredibly stressful move into an incredibly smooth experience.

I had a wonderful experience with Otter! From Peter's kind and quick correspondence, to the two movers who did an EXCEPTIONAL job, I am so grateful for them. Truly outstanding at what they do! Everything was priced more than fairly and worth every penny. Taking apart and putting back together my bed frame was a huge help, and they handled all my things with care up to the third floor! Couldn't have done it myself. Thank you all so much for making an otherwise stressful day a breeze.

I had a very disappointing experience with Otter Moving and would recommend proceeding with caution.

To be fair, the foreman of the two-man crew was generally professional and easy to deal with, and everyone I interacted with in the office was genuinely nice and responsive. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the second mover and several overall issues during the move.

From the moment they arrived, the second mover immediately demanded a tip before any work had even started and kept pressuring me throughout the move, saying tipping was not included and that I “needed to take care of them.” The approach was aggressive and uncomfortable.

When it came to a few additional items beyond the initial quote, I had no issue paying for them through the company. However, the mover became visibly upset and tried to get me to pay him cash directly instead of going through the office. I refused and asked him to call the office and update the bill to charge my card. He responded by raising his voice, saying they wouldn’t move anything unless I paid cash on the spot, and temporarily refusing to do the job.

He also refused to move items that were clearly included in the original quote, repeatedly claiming they weren’t covered even when I showed him the written estimate. This led to multiple outbursts before he finally relented and did what was already agreed to.

There were also some basic professionalism issues. At one point, the foreman asked to use my bathroom, which I said was completely fine. Afterward, since my soap was packed, I offered hand sanitizer. He laughed, said he didn’t need it, and then continued handling all of my belongings.

After unpacking, I discovered that my TV had been severely damaged during the move. The screen panel had separated from the frame and the TV is now unusable. When it was being unloaded, one mover started to point out an issue, but the other cut him off and pushed me to sign off indicating no damage before I had a chance to properly inspect it.

When I raised the damage, I was told the TV was “dusty,” implying that was the reason it no longer worked. Apparently, a dusty back of a TV is supposed to cause the panel to separate, which is obviously not credible.

I also later heard that the company was told I was upset about additional charges, which is not true. I had no issue paying for legitimate add-ons through proper channels. The issue was the behavior, the attempted side payment, and the handling of my belongings.

Overall, while the office staff and foreman were pleasant, the conduct during the move and the damage to my property made this a stressful and frustrating experience. I would not feel comfortable recommending this company, especially for anyone moving alone.

Proceed with caution.

AMAZING service! Truly better than Piece of Cake by far. Vladimir and Kamilo (Truck #4) were outstanding from start to finish—extremely kind, professional, and incredibly efficient. They handled everything with care, worked quickly without cutting corners, and made what could have been a stressful move feel smooth and easy.

They were also very respectful, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Their positive attitude and teamwork really stood out. I called Otter Movers to get a price quote to move my daughter from Brooklyn to the Bronx . Alex took all my information and sent me inventory list to cover what was needed to be moved. He was so kind and professional on the phone, was able to provide me a very reasonable quote. He was never a nuisance in fact he followed up to make sure everything was good. When I tell you he helped through every aspect that was needed to make this a stress free move. Everyone that I had contact with was professional, kind, and all around had a fabulous experience.
