I'd hire again in a heartbeat! We booked movers to help load a cross country truck and booked the job the night before because another group canceled on us. The movers came right at the time we asked and they stayed until the job was completed even though our moving truck got to our apt late and it was outside their committed 2-hour window. Provided shrink wrap and extra tape and were extremely considerate of all our fragile boxes. The two man team worked like a machine. They were incredibly fast and efficient. Wonderful people!

Had an amazing experience with Otter moving! Getting the quote and taking inventory of my stuff was easy. I needed to call and update my inventory a few times, and they were able to help me take care of that quickly and easily without raising the price (I added a few small-medium boxes). The move itself was much smoother and faster than I expected too. They took really good care of my stuff and got everything done efficiently and professionally, all for a great price. Will use them again for my next move!

DO NOT USE THEM if you value your privacy and your stuff. Moving is already stressful but this service made it 10x worse than it needed to be. They showed up with an incorrect inventory, completely unnecessarily rifled through my stuff, and carelessly packed my items. They put a bottle of liquid upside down on top of electronics, which of course opened and spilled all over them. They crushed items and papers, threw my pillows on the floor, and I had to tell them several times that yes, EVERYTHING is going. I’m not leaving just a random handful of items behind…their excuse was that the movers were tired and new (had only been working for 10days). Plus they left many items behind and offered to go back to the previous address for them. They told me to head over and when I was halfway into the 40-minute trip they said actually we can’t today.

The scheduling/estimate process was quick, easy, and simple. Throughout the entire moving process, they were always very responsive, fair and, extremely professional. Movers (Duke and Luca) were extremely friendly and went above and beyond; making this hands down the BEST moving experience (and that’s coming from someone who’s loved 16x in the past 12 years!). Highly recommend these guys, thank you so much once again!

I highly recommend Otter Moving & Storage. Vlad and his team assisted in moving my things from Manhattan to a storage facility while I was in between places then coordinated moving my things to my new home. Vlad was flexible when I had to adjust my date. Their prices were reasonable considering the complexity of my move. The moving team was professional and timely. I used Otter moving service on 9/23/23. The movers arrived 15 minuets prior to the appointment, which was excellent. There were 3 movers on the team. The lead mover communicated efficiently with me and the team. The movers worked quickly and they took items that were not on the list. I paid the flat fee that was quoted. The movers had difficult condition to deal with on the day of the move. I moved from a 2nd floor walkup to a third floor walkup. Several of the items were extremely heavy and it was raining for the entire moved. The movers never complained in front of me, they worked as a team to ensure the job got done. At the end of the move the lead mover asked me if I was satisfied and if I had any concerns. Then he called his boss to finalized the job. The boss spoke with me to ensure I was satisfied. I recommend this company. Otter movers offer competitive pricing and efficient work.

Mark helped coordinate my local move and storage. The Otter team was communicative and responsive throughout the engagement process (including itemized charges). The moving team was on time, got everything packed and wrapped super quickly, and remained available/communicative the day of the day of the move.

Best moving company ever! I was very nervous looking for a great quality company for my move that wouldn’t over charge me and they were awesome from beginning to end. They are affordable and had the best price hands down out of 2 other popular moving companies in nyc that I got quotes for. They packed everything up safely ( including my glass annd mirrors) and were extremely nice. I didn’t have to lift a finger! And they’re quick! Vanja and Mathew were the best!!!! I’ve done the research for you, all you have to do is use them!!! You won’t regret it

My wife and I recently got married and decided to move to a bigger apartment in NY. After almost half a year, we eventually decided to move from Williamsburg, BKN to Astoria, Queens. I thought of doing the work myself over a few weeks, but a friend of mine recommended Otter guys and this is what brings me here.
Otter's crew assisted me during my move, and I am thrilled with their exceptional care. Moving can be stressful, especially with delicate items (keep in mind my wife is an art collector, so my reliance on Otter had more than just a ''simple move'' at stake :D), but this team made sure everything arrived safely.

The crew arrived on time and were suuuper friendly, I didn't feel like I was hiring someone to do a paid job, but to genuinely help us get this move right!
They took the time to understand my concerns about her fragile items and did a really good job convincing her as well about their expertise.

Their packing skills were impressive. They used all sorts of materials like bubble wrap and padding to protect each and every delicate piece of art we/she had :) . They were meticulous and ensured everything was secure for transportation.

During loading and unloading, the crew continued to handle the items with care. They expertly maneuvered through tight spaces without causing any damage. Their attention to detail was commendable. Really, I am super amazed at how well are they providing their moving operations.

If anyone is reading this - go for Otter guys. Truly amazing professionals, but above all - people at the end of the day, trying to understand their customer and provide help, not just a paid service.

I even asked them to buy a T-Shirt and self-promote them from time to time. That speaks enough about my level of gratitude for what they've done.

I move a lot, and I have used many moving companies, but none of them came close to the experience I had with Otter.

They are super professional and kind, but also increadibly fast and flexible. Most importantly, the price for their service was more than fair!

All of my things were moved in lightning speed, and nothing was even slightly damaged in the process.
I cannot give them enough compliments!!

Great experience all around - Vlad and his team were really fast and thorough, and the price couldn't be beat. I tried to do most of the packing myself, but they really came through and helped pack up a lot of the remaining things I hadn't figured out what to do with (as well as disassembly and reassembly of the bigger furniture). I had a lot more stuff going into the basement than I'd realized at first too, but the team was able to manage that without any hassle and I really appreciated it. I'll definitely be using them again, when the time comes!

I've had some really awful experiences with NYC movers, but Otter was the exact opposite. Prior to the move date Vlad and his team were incredibly responsive, their pricing was great and they were flexible around our schedule/move date. On the day of the move they arrived 10 min early (simply texting that they had arrived, but not coming to the door until we confirmed). The team was incredibly polite and friendly. Everything was packed up, delivered and unpacked very quickly and without any issue. This is the best moving company I've used by far and would recommend them for any move.

Otter Moving & Storage should be YOUR TOP CHOICE when you're considering your next move in or near the NY area! Vlad's team was super flexible and arrived to our apartment on time. They were SO FAST and worked in an extremely speedy manner to get everything loaded up on the truck and ready for our new apartment. This is probably the fastest move we've ever had (and we've moved quite a few times). The team started loading up the van at 7:30am, and we were basically finished with our move to the new place by 12pm -- which is NUTS! They were super sweet, professional, friendly, and very understanding when we had a few items that we'd forgotten to stow away/pack appropriately. They secured all of our items and everything was delivered safe & sound, clean with 0 damage. I forgot to mention, the day we had them booked was an extremely RAINY day, and the fact that they worked through the rain with such professionalism was an added cherry on top. I really love this team, and if we ever move again we will 100% be calling Otter Moving & Storage with 0 hesitation. :)

I was dreading hiring movers as past experiences in NYC have been horrible - missing/damaged items, “undisclosed” charges, etc. I saw Otter’s great reviews and decided to give them a try. They were fantastic and I would absolutely hire them again. Vlad, the owner, was super responsive, providing a detailed estimate, which was also a fixed price, a winning point for me bc the pick up was 1.5 hrs from NYC. Throughout the entire process he was communicative, understood what was needed for insurance purposes, and the art I was moving arrived with no issues. I even received a call from the pick-up location telling me how nice the movers were!
