Excellent movers. Our movers were on time, very efficient, yet careful. The crew came with all the equipment needed to transport quite a load of boxes & furniture. Everything arrived in fine condition. We highly recommend Otter Moving & Storage. It’s a dependable outfit.

Otter moving was able to accommodate my long distance from CT to NC, despite them being a NYC based crew. They also charged HALF the price all the other companies were trying to charge me! I got in contact with Ivan and he was extremely helpful and responsive. He was able to answer all my questions quickly and made the entire process so much easier on my end. Hands down the most stress-free move I’ve ever experienced. You can tell they have an airtight customer experience process from submitting the estimate through the end of move day. Simon helped coordinate the move and led me through each step. Oscar and his team executed the move like gazelles. Seriously. And they were super fast. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and professional. The owners are real people who care, too. Moving sucks but this time it was a breeze!

My experience with Otter was wonderful - Hans was so patient and helped to make my move happen with the budget I had. The movers were so friendly and they were extremely efficient. I had a ton of heavy furniture and not a single thing was damaged. I moved across boroughs and they were able to complete the trip within 3 hours. I’ve used a few moving companies over the years and Otter is easily the best.

Duke (truck 14) and his crew were INCREDIBLE. They were courteous, had extreme attention to detail and were so efficient. I had an amazing experience with Otter. Hans was amazing and super helpful. I gave them a friend referral and an estimate of what I needed to move and they provided me with a fair quote. Important to know that you can change your inventory up to 24 hours before your move which was amazing for me. The guys that came were so kind and worked with a difficult street situation without hesitation and with the best attitude. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and incredibly kind. They handled my belongings with care and made the moving process smooth and stress-free, hands down worth 100% I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Their genuine warmth and attention to detail truly set them apart. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful moving company under any circumstances.

Shoutout to the crew of Truck #14! They arrived much later than expected due to a past job having more items than they thought. I was concerned as the move-in window for my current apartment was about to close, but I was shocked that they managed to pack everything in under thirty minutes. They kindly disassembled my bed frame and reassembled it at the new place.

For all those like me who read the reviews and thought this company was too good to be true, its not. Unbeatable prices and even better service. I must have changed my inventory 20 times and each time they were more than happy to help and responded so quickly! my whole moving team was beyond amazing, especially consider they got stuck in an elevator for 30 minutes, then just got right back to work. Could not recommend this company more!

I've never hired movers before. I've always done it myself with a couple of friends, but these guys are worth every penny. They took furniture apart and reassembled it. They removed my ACs. They even carried my couch down the stairs because it wouldn't fit in my elevator. And I got to ride in the truck! 😂 Highly recommended.

Unless you have an entire day to waste sitting and waiting for them to show up I suggest you use someone else. I have had to call them 5 times asking the status to be told “we will call you right back” and then never get a call back. Absolutely horrendous service. Never again using this company. Stay away

We hired Otter to dismantle a bookshelf with glass shelves and ship it along with a set of nine fragile pieces of pottery, and many very heavy boxes filled with books from Brooklyn to East Hampton. It was short notice and timing was somewhat urgent for us. They were punctual, prepared, extremely careful with the the fragile pieces. They arrived at East Hampton on time and delivered, and set up everything without a hitch. They were very courteous and professional. We highly recommend them. In fact, I've just hired them to move some more things for me.

Service was prompt and fast. The workers were very cordial. Setting up the initial move was quick, easy and thorough.
My belongings were handled with much care and respect. The handlers came prepared for any changes that might have accrued I would use them again for my future moves and recommend you do the same.

Moving is always miserable. It’s expensive, exhausting, and prone to disaster. However, from the moment we called to get a quote from Otter to the final seconds of our move, everyone there was responsive, thoughtful, and went the extra mile to get us to our new apartment. They quoted us immediately. For $500, they moved more than 15 boxes and 9 large suitcases, a hefty three-seater couch, our massive iron bookshelf, and more, in addition to our television, large mirror, and stereo system with massive speakers - all of which were accompanied by delicate wrapping and handling. Arriving 30 minutes early, the movers were friendly, polite, and incredibly fast. There were some boxes that I was concerned about - boxes I feared I overpacked, that were too heavy or that contained delicate items I thought would fall out. The movers made absolute light work out of them, listening to our concerns and handling everything with care and efficiency. For reference, they disassembled our couch (and reassembled it, too!), carried everything down three flights of stairs, and drove twenty minutes to the delivery location. Regardless, start-to-finish the job took no more than an hour and fourty five minutes. I can say with absolute confidence that only with Otter’s help was this move neither expensive nor exhausting, and far from prone to disaster. I cannot recommend Otter enough and I am beyond grateful for all of their help and responsiveness. We will be hiring them again in the future.

The BEST moving company I've ever used since 2021. They are flexible, considerate, understanding, actually listening your needs, and everyone is super super patient and friendly and really respond your requests fast, and detailed oriented, well communicated. I really appreciate this company, last but not least, the price is soooo reasonable, I would call them THE PERFECT BEST DEAL YOU CAN FIND!

Found otter from their ad with Kareem Rahma (the subway takes guy). Easily the best moving company I have worked with. They are so good at what they do. It was the middle of the work day for me, and I was on my laptop during this time. By the time I turned around my entire apartment was empty and carefully packed. Their prices are the best in the city as well. A no-brainer choice for New York city.

My experience with Otter Moving & Storage was great! They were SO quick with my move. I kept my stuff in storage for about 2 weeks between apartments. When they brought it to my new place, everything was in good shape. I also really enjoyed working with my representative, John. He was super communicative, patient, and helpful. This was the best moving experience I've ever had. First I booked less than 24 hours from moving and received excellent customer service. Then my movers came and moved at the speed of light. If you need to move I 10 out of 10 recommend these guys!

Simon was a great representative, communicative and easy to work with. One note, if getting the packing service make sure to double check everything yourself, some items were almost left in old apartment. Also, check any big boxes before movers toss them out for leftover items.

Such a lovely and efficient team, we loved Aleksander and Micko. They arrived early and were pleasant, quick, and so helpful. All told the move took under 3 hours and was completely hassle free for less than half the price of their famous NYC competitor, I’ll totally use these guys again!

Great service! I had to reschedule my move, which required quite a bit of back and forth, and they were super understanding and accommodating. Everything was solved responsibly, and everyone I’ve been in contact with from the company have been very kind, and made me rest assured that my things were well taken care of. I’ll hire them again in the future for sure.

These guys were amazing. They just completed a move for me, and they were on-time, professional, and masterful with how they maneuvered my furniture in two tiny New York apartments. The customer service was perfection before, during, and after the move. They were also prepared for all possible scenarios, had all the right tools and supplies, and were upfront about everything.

The team was professional, efficient, and incredibly careful with everything. They completed my move from the Upper West Side to Brooklyn in just about two hours and helped with everything from bed assembly to setting up the couch and more. They took the stress out of moving and helped us get it done so quick. Their pricing is very reasonable, and they’re super responsive—answering all my questions and making sure I felt fully prepared for the move. I called many different places trying to get an original quote and Otter moving was by far the most affordable and also took such good care of my things. I was only supposed to have my things in storage for 7 days and it turned into 2.5 months, the pickup and delivery process was so smooth and efficient. The nicest, most helpful, and friendly guys did the pick up and drop off, I couldn’t have asked for better services. Peter was so helpful during my entire moving process, answering any questions I had throughout the entire 2.5 months. It’s never been so easy to reach someone/get a quick call back from Peter, especially in NYC. the urgency and willingness to always confirm with me and make sure everything was okay was so appreciated and didn’t go unnoticed!! Mark was the move coordinator. He is professional and empathetic. He quoted a fair price and did not have any hidden additional charges. I was charged exactly what was quoted and not a penny more. The movers Camilo and Michael arrived a few minutes before time and called ahead to let me know their ETA. They were very nice and efficient and professional as well. They worked well as a team and were excellent! They finished the move on time and handled all my things that were being moved with care. They were very respectful. Using this moving company was the best decision I ever made for moving! My Fiancé and I were nervous using any moving company (prices, care of our boxes and furniture, and never using a company prior). But these incredible people made everything so easy for us. I recently moved with Otter Moving & Storage. We moved a full 1 bedroom "pre-packed" with moving locations 7 minutes apart each other. The first apartment was located on the ground floor, the second an elevator building with exclusive access. We had minimal furniture and though our final inventory list (boxes & bags) ended up being larger than the original agreed upon list, Otter worked on fair pricing for us. The move was completed by two guys in two hours! My only suggestion is to have a full list of inventory ready before confirming your appointment. However, the Otter team will connect with you before and after your move if needed.
