I had a great experience with Otter Moving. The price was better than most other companies for a 1-bedroom apartment move which was why I picked them. The movers Danny and Jerry are the reason why I would pick Otter Moving again. Both of them were very courteous and professional throughout the entire move. They were really quick and all smiles even when it was clear they were tired. All the furniture was wrapped well with blankets and handled with care.

I hired Otter Moving for my local NYC move in fall 2024. After getting multiple moving quotes, they were the best price for my needs, were amenable when I kept adding more to the inventory, and they did a great job. They were fast wrapping my furniture and loading everything out of my first apartment and into the new place. They even used their strength and skills to help rescue my cat who had fallen behind the fridge while exploring the new apartment (security measures have since been taken on the fridge gap).
I would definitely recommend these guys and hire them again.

The movers came all the way from NYC to the Washington, DC area for my move to NYC. I honestly cannot rave about this company enough. The entire staff was a GODSEND from my moving rep, Advan, down to the moving crew. I booked them 2 months in advance and customer service was incredibly responsive through email and phone from beginning to end. Every single question regarding my move was answered and they never dropped the ball on anything. The moving crew worked so quickly and were very careful with my things (not a scratch in sight!). It was a very long day for them, but they were professional through it all. On top of all that, the prices were reasonable given that it was an out of state move.

I was given a moving time between 9am-11am. The movers showed up at 8:59am. 😂😂😂 They were punctual, friendly and efficient. They made my move quick and easy. And Nikola made it simple to schedule my service. He was also very accomodating when I needed to make last minute changes. Would definitely use this service again!

I recently moved and a co-worker recommended Otter and said they were great. He was not wrong! They were great from the start. I worked with Hans at first, he was professional, efficient and great to communicate with. Carlos, Juan and Felix were phenomenal during the move - friendly, fast and took great care of my belongings. I highly recommend Otter, I will absolutely use them again.

Every part of the process of booking the move, getting an estimate and the move itself went great! It was super easy to communicate about the estimate and scheduling tue move. The movers were very professional, quick and very careful with all of our items. I will 100% be using otter for all of my future moves.

Jaoquin and his crew moved me from an apartment to their storage (at least 90 boxes and large furniture items), then two weeks later from storage to new apartment. Everything went smoothly.

My move coordinator Advan was responsive to all my questions, and overall communication was great. No surprise hidden fees, they stuck to their original quote, which was quite reasonable. Most importantly, everything arrived intact, nothing damaged. Would not hesitate to use them again!

Highly recommend Otter Moving! These guys came on time, were professional and ready. Made the whole moving process less stressful. I was loading out of a 4 floor walk up, and the guys managed to get it all done. I assumed we would get some huge muscle guys, since it was a lot of stairs. Instead, it was four younger Latino guys and their mighty strength was incredible. Well done! We started in the morning at 9am and were done before 1pm. Absolutely amazing to work with. Office management was great. Customer service was spot on. Mark and his team were super friendly and attentive. One of my concerns was the trucks cleaning, as I did not want to catch any pests. They assured me they clean the truck. So if you’re making a major move, I would definitely hire these guys. Awesome job and thank you!

I cannot recommended Otter Moving & Storage enough! From start to finish, the process was easy and efficient. Truly a no gimmick moving company with extremely reasonable pricing. Happy to recommend this business. Especially because of their communication and flexibility. I did 1 move, storage for a month followed by another move. We had a few hiccups along the way but they went the extra mile to fix them. Extra insurance is recommended if you move valuable stuff.
Moving squad was nice, respectful and effective!

I have an incredible experience with Otter last month! First, Advan was super helpful during the booking process as I was exploring various dates, times, and also was still working through my inventory. He was super helpful. Then, on the day of, Vlad was super communicative. I booked the afternoon slot, but at 10am I received a call that the morning slot person had 4x the amount of things they promised, and that it would undoubtedly delay my slot. Vlad said he'd call at 1pm with an update and at 12:58pm he called with an update. He promised that my move would still happen that day, but that it just might be later into the evening. At 4pm he called me with another update and then at 4:15 the driver Slav called me to let me know that he was 15 min out. Although they arrived 30 minutes late, I so appreciated how communicative and proactive they were.

Then once Slav and his team arrived, they moved my entire studio apartment out in under 45 min. They wrapped up everything so carefully and also communicated with me what they were doing and when. It was so great. I'm also using them for storage and will post again when I receive my items.

I would highly recommend Otter for your move! The whole process was fast efficient and friendly. I liked dealing with Advan for the quote, he was kind, straightforward, and easy to get ahold of with updates and questions. That’s so important because a lot of other companies I got quotes from were slow or their communication was bad. The pricing was in a good sweet spot, not too high and not too low where you start to wonder why. We had a lot of stuff in our 2 bedroom apt in Brooklyn and some really heavy awkward pieces, but Jauquin and Gregory were very fast and strong and professional. I was a bit dubious when I saw only two guys but wow they did a great job! We felt they went above and beyond with our difficult move and had a great attitude so we gave them a bigger than normal tip. We are so thankful everything went perfectly with the move!! Definitely get a quote from Otter!

I googled and reached out to several moving companies. Otter had the best quote. They changed the time of my moving from morning to afternoon but let me know in advance. They came on time and quickly started wrapping my furniture. They were efficient and professional. Joaquin and Danny were my movers. I would highly recommend them.

Genuinely headache free. Prior to booking, Mark was transparent about pricing which I greatly appreciated. The movers were efficient and careful and were in and out in a timely manner. Moved one state over and they were done in 3 hours, including travel. Seriously worth it (and their pricing is very reasonable).

The Otter Moving team were fantastic to work with for our recent move out of Brooklyn to upstate New York. They have competitive pricing, a seamless process, and they were extremely flexible with helping to arrange my move (I had to change the date a few times and Nihad was extremely helpful and flexible!). The team that came to do our move was excellent - fast, efficient, and very kind through the whole process. I highly recommend hiring Otter Moving for any of your moving needs!

Slav and his team were friendly, efficient and good vibes the whole way - highly recommended! They moved our 2br from a narrow walkup without a scratch to anything. And at the other end there wasn't any parking close by so they trolleyed everything from the end of the street and despite this they still got it all done in a few hours. We had a few extra items and some big sprawling delicate plants and they were very accommodating. But I'd say most importantly, when you're stressed out of your mind and up all night packing, they brought the chill, friendly good vibes which really made the difference!

Every penny spent was beyond worth it! These movers were fantastic—super friendly, unbelievably careful, and impressively efficient. My roommate and I were blown away by how fast they managed everything; we were in and out of our old place and settled into the new one in just a few hours. They meticulously packed all our belongings, so nothing even came close to breaking. Watching them dismantle and reassemble two beds like it was second nature was something else. I had to move cross country (NYC to Seattle) with very little time to prepare and on a pretty tight budget. Every moving company I spoke to quoted me a high price, so I was beyond relieved when I started speaking with Nikola at Otter. The customer service from Nikola and his team was superb. They were super responsive to phone & email messages; they were kind and patient and explained everything clearly. I won’t lie that I started getting very nervous closer to the move date - the price and the 5 star rating must be too good to be true??? However, after receiving my shipment today (well within the quoted timeframe) I can confirm they really are that good!!! The team in NYC and the team in Seattle were awesome with my items; everything arrived in good shape and the guys were all just so nice.

I had the please of working with Advan to help me plan my move within NYC. I was annoying and called several times to change little details over the span on 4 days and he was always there on the phone to help out and adjust the order and he was always helpful and supportive during the entire process. If I have to move again I am going through this company and Advan specifically as he was an absolute rockstar.

Great experience. The team worked quickly and efficiently. The entire move took about an hour! (Not including the travel time in between locations). The workers were extremely friendly and gentle with all of my items. Everything was handled with care and they paid great attention to detail. I just recently moved with Otter and it was a great experience from beginning to end! Firstly, their prices are unbeatable and they do an excellent, professional job! They showed up right on time, the movers were super communicative and respectful of my stuff, nothing broke in the process and it was super quick and efficient. I honestly couldn’t believe how easy it was. I moved from Manhattan to the Hudson valley- started at 9am and the move was complete by 2:30pm. I have recommended them to my friends and family and will definitely use again!

I got A LOT of quotes for my move within Brooklyn and Otter’s quote was by far the best! (They matched PoC for me and gave me a small discount!) They were so easy to work with, especially as I needed to edit my inventory list. All their replies were super quick too. The move itself also went quite smooth - I had a lot of odd shaped items, SO many large boxes, a stop at a storage unit, and a very heavy sleeper sofa which they handled so well even moving into a 4th floor walk up!!!! Such a hardworking team and such a tough job. I would truly highly recommend Otter - every step of the process was a total breeze for me and I am so appreciative of them!!

We hired Otter for our move from Brooklyn to Boston. The price was fair and the two movers were very quick and efficient. When they arrived to our new place before we did, because it was late in the day, they started unloading so much of the work was done by the time we got there. I had a wonderful experience with the entire Otter Moving team and would highly recommend them to anyone needing to move! They made the whole process as stress free as possible which is a feat considering how emotional and stressful moving can be. Very professional and communicative throughout the entire process and very understanding that we weren’t completely ready or organized…even helped me tape up some boxes, put mattresses in bags and very carefully wrapped our furniture. I just have to write a review for these guys. They were excellent!! My husband and I moved from Brooklyn to Long Island this past weekend with Otter moving and they were amazing. We had A LOT of stuff. We had lived in our previous apartment for 4 years and it was a pretty large apart 2 bed, 2 bath, outdoor space with lots of outdoor furniture, etc. They moved everything quickly and didn't break or damage a single thing. Slav was so communicative throughout the day and really just made the move so seamless. Our new home is up on a big hill and they couldn't get the truck up the driveway so they had to move everything in from the bottom of the hill. They did it so quickly and without any complaint - truly so professional. I know how important reviews are for these types of things in such a competitive business, I just had to publicly sing my praises for this company. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

Had a great experience with Otter! They gave me a very fair and competitive quote for an end of July move (which, as all New Yorkers know all too well, is the most expensive time of year to move). Every other moving company was quoting me far more, so the price is what drew me to Otter. The rest of the move was seamless, which is what would make me come back to Otter again in the future. Worked with her work schedule, showed up on time and the moving staff efficiently got the job done. We booked with Hans who was responsive and helpful with figuring out the logistics of her move. My moving time was between 12 pm - 3 pm. Got a call in the morning that the crew was available earlier. They arrived by 10:15 am and moved 88 boxes from my apartment to storage in less than 90 minutes. Nice guys, will use again. Great price also nobody came near their price.

Very impressive service. I never expected movers to be prompt and honest. But Otter guys exceeded my expectations. They showed up at an exact scheduled time - 7am. They packed and wrapped the furniture with blankets, using tons of blankets and tape rolls. I was for the catch, so they will charge for each roll of tape $15, like my previous movers experience. But there was no catch. They charged exactly the quoted amount. Upon destination they unwrapped everything and even helped assembling the bed. I was happy to give them a nice tip. Definitely a very professional moving company.

I used Otter Moving for moving out, storage for a few days, and then moving into my new apartment. Diego and his team moved me out of my old apartment and Duke and team moved me into my new one. Both teams were exceptional. Otter was also very competitive with their pricing and there weren't any hidden fees. I worked with Marc while booking everything and he was very transparent. Both teams came during the scheduled time window. All of my things were handled with immense care- nothing was broken and it's clear that my things were stored in a temperature controlled environment as none of my makeup melted or was ruined (being stored in the heat wave NYC is currently experiencing). Diego and team helped with furniture disassembly and then Duke and team reassembled everything else. Lastly, although it has nothing to do with moving itself, as a single woman alone in my apartment with three male movers from each team, every single one of them was respectful and I never once felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Wow! Slav and everyone who helped me move were so amazing and kind. I knew I didn’t have to worry about any of my things being damaged because they took all precautions necessary. They were also extremely fast and efficient. I will definitely use them again if I ever move in the future.

Otter Moving is the ONLY moving company in NYC that will go above & beyond for any AND all of your moving needs. Our company had a massive task for Otter Moving and they performed the move faster than expected with all of our items moved safely and without a single blemish. After moving all of our items to a new office space, our new building was deemed unfit for habitation. This was a severe blow for us, as we now had to move all of our things all over again within a tight time frame. Thankfully, Otter Moving was there to help rescue us. They worked around our crazy schedule and moved all of our items again into a new space even faster than the first move. And in a summer heatwave no less! I cannot recommend this service enough! Booking is very easy to do online and they don’t spam your phone with endless calls like many other services in NY. Communication was excellent, they showed up right on time and did the whole move in under 3 hours. I chose Otter because of their good reviews and competitive pricing.
