I recently used otter moving and storage services for my move to a new apartment and I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. The team arrived on time and carefully packed all of my belongings with great attention to detail. They were also very courteous and respectful throughout the entire process. The movers worked quickly and efficiently, making sure to handle all of my items with care. They were also very communicative, keeping me informed of their progress and asking for my input when needed. I was relieved to see that all of my belongings arrived at my new home in good condition. I was very satisfied with the moving service and would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient moving company.

Great experience. The team worked quickly and efficiently. The entire move took about an hour! (Not including the travel time in between locations). The workers were extremely friendly and gentle with all of my items. Everything was handled with care and they paid great attention to detail. All my items stayed intact and I’m super happy I chose Otter Moving. Highly recommend and thank you again for a super easy move :)

Otter Moving is amazing. We had a great experience with them and will definitely use them for any future moves. Vanja and Vladimir did an exceptional job. They were friendly and professional, and got everything moved out of our apartment within an hour! They took great care to make sure all of our furniture was thoroughly wrapped for transit as well. Our representative, Advan, was also very helpful and responsive to any questions we had before the move. Otter Moving made the move-out process stress-free at a great price. Highly recommend, especially if you need storage in between moving out and moving in!!

Edit after moving out of storage to the new apartment: We had a positive experience with Slav and team during the second half of our moving process as well. They unloaded all of our boxes and furniture quickly and carefully. The team was incredibly patient and took their time to make sure everything was placed in the right rooms for easy unpacking. Otter has become a top choice for moving in the city!

I just recently moved with Otter and it was a great experience from beginning to end! Firstly, their prices are unbeatable and they do an excellent, professional job! They showed up right on time, the movers were super communicative and respectful of my stuff, nothing broke in the process and it was super quick and efficient. I honestly couldn’t believe how easy it was. I moved from Manhattan to the Hudson valley- started at 9am and the move was complete by 2:30pm. I have recommended them to my friends and family and will definitely use again!

I got A LOT of quotes for my move within Brooklyn and Otter’s quote was by far the best! (They matched PoC for me and gave me a small discount!) They were so easy to work with, especially as I needed to edit my inventory list. All their replies were super quick too. The move itself also went quite smooth - I had a lot of odd shaped items, SO many large boxes, a stop at a storage unit, and a very heavy sleeper sofa which they handled so well even moving into a 4th floor walk up!!!! Such a hardworking team and such a tough job. I would truly highly recommend Otter - every step of the process was a total breeze for me and I am so appreciative of them!!

Otter Moving & Storage are fantastic! I have used Otter for two different moves: 1) same-day apartment move within Manhattan and 2) apartment move from Manhattan to Boston with 2 months of storage in between. Vlad and Mark were attentive and transparent when coordinating the details of the moves. Otter moving staff arrived on time. They are professional, friendly and efficient. I had a wonderful experience with the entire Otter Moving team and would highly recommend them to anyone needing to move! They made the whole process as stress free as possible which is a feat considering how emotional and stressful moving can be. Very professional and communicative throughout the entire process and very understanding that we weren’t completely ready or organized…even helped me tape up some boxes, put mattresses in bags and very carefully wrapped our furniture. I will definitely use Otter next time I move!

I just have to write a review for these guys. They were excellent!! My husband and I moved from Brooklyn to Long Island this past weekend with Otter moving and they were amazing. We had A LOT of stuff. We had lived in our previous apartment for 4 years and it was a pretty large apart 2 bed, 2 bath, outdoor space with lots of outdoor furniture, etc. They moved everything quickly and didn't break or damage a single thing. Slav was so communicative throughout the day and really just made the move so seamless. Our new home is up on a big hill and they couldn't get the truck up the driveway so they had to move everything in from the bottom of the hill. They did it so quickly and without any complaint - truly so professional. I know how important reviews are for these types of things in such a competitive business, I just had to publicly sing my praises for this company. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

Moving is always stressful, time-consuming, and often expensive. However, if I had known about Otter Moving earlier, I could have avoided all the issues I faced. Nikola was incredibly helpful in organizing everything, especially since I was in a rush after my original mover from Taskrabbit canceled on me at the last minute. One of the main benefits of using Otter Moving is that they don’t charge by the hour. This is a huge advantage, especially if you live in New York and are moving on weekends when traffic can be a nightmare. The team arrived on time, even a bit early, and worked quickly and professionally.

Had a great experience with Otter! They gave me a very fair and competitive quote for an end of July move (which, as all New Yorkers know all too well, is the most expensive time of year to move). Every other moving company was quoting me far more, so the price is what drew me to Otter. The rest of the move was seamless, which is what would make me come back to Otter again in the future. They sent 3 guys for our 1-bd apartment move and they were very efficient and friendly. Thank you for making moving less stressful for us!

Very impressive service. I never expected movers to be prompt and honest. But Otter guys exceeded my expectations. They showed up at an exact scheduled time - 7am. They packed and wrapped the furniture with blankets, using tons of blankets and tape rolls. I was for the catch, so they will charge for each roll of tape $15, like my previous movers experience. But there was no catch. They charged exactly the quoted amount. Upon destination they unwrapped everything and even helped assembling the bed. I was happy to give them a nice tip. Definitely a very professional moving company.

I used Otter Moving for moving out, storage for a few days, and then moving into my new apartment. Diego and his team moved me out of my old apartment and Duke and team moved me into my new one. Both teams were exceptional. Otter was also very competitive with their pricing and there weren't any hidden fees. I worked with Marc while booking everything and he was very transparent. Both teams came during the scheduled time window. All of my things were handled with immense care- nothing was broken and it's clear that my things were stored in a temperature controlled environment as none of my makeup melted or was ruined (being stored in the heat wave NYC is currently experiencing). Diego and team helped with furniture disassembly and then Duke and team reassembled everything else. Lastly, although it has nothing to do with moving itself, as a single woman alone in my apartment with three male movers from each team, every single one of them was respectful and I never once felt uncomfortable or unsafe. I would work with otter time and time again. Thanks Otter!

Otter Moving is the ONLY moving company in NYC that will go above & beyond for any AND all of your moving needs. Our company had a massive task for Otter Moving and they performed the move faster than expected with all of our items moved safely and without a single blemish. After moving all of our items to a new office space, our new building was deemed unfit for habitation. This was a severe blow for us, as we now had to move all of our things all over again within a tight time frame. Thankfully, Otter Moving was there to help rescue us. They worked around our crazy schedule and moved all of our items again into a new space even faster than the first move. And in a summer heatwave no less! We are eternally grateful for Otter Moving and recommend them for any move, no matter how big or small. They also have the best logo out of any moving company, no contest.

This was the BEST moving experience I have ever had. Moving is usually stressful, unpredictable and something always goes wrong but with Otter Moving & Storage the move was PERFECT. Everything from scheduling the move to the movers arriving on time to their careful handling of all my items made the day so easy. They were in and out within 2 hours. I highly recommend them and I will use Otter from now on for all my moving needs.

Otter was amazing. They called me 15 minutes before our moving window to check if I was ready, and then arrived precisely when scheduled. They moved all the boxes and furniture out of our 1-bedroom in less than 3 hours. The whole experience was seamless and they were very responsive over email. My building super who watched them even said that he would book them when he was ready to move because they did such a good job.

My move with Otter was great! From the beginning, Mark and his team were so helpful, happily answering any questions I had. They were also able to give me a very affordable rate for a cross country move which is ultimately why I chose them.

The day of the move was super easy and it went just as they had communicated it would and as I expected. Everything was on time and the movers took good care of my stuff and were in and out of my apartment in a short period of time.

I was moving a vintage dresser that was my grandmother's from NJ to Brooklyn. Advan reached out to me right away with a quote that was $100 less than another moving company. As it turned out, a friend insisted on bringing it so I ended up not needing Otter's services. Advan refunded my deposit immediately. He even gave me some advice on moving that type of furniture for future reference. I plan to keep Otter in mind for future moves.

I had a great experience with Otter Moving for my NYC local move and will strongly recommend them to anyone who asks for a moving company. Duke and the Truck 5 team got my 1 bd apartment loaded, moved, and settled into my new place in record time with outstanding care.
I called around for a lot of quotes and actually was booked a month out with a different moving company until I realized that company had booked me on the wrong day only a few days before my move! Otter Moving came to my rescue, not only by being available on a few days’ notice with great pricing, but also by turning around quotes immediately, sending COIs less than an hour after I sent requirements, and quickly updating my inventory as I found more things that I needed to move. Their services are comprehensive and what were extra charges with some companies (wardrobe boxes, mats to protect furniture, etc.), Otter said “of course that’s included!”
The actual move execution exceeded all expectations. The Truck 5 team was prompt, professional, communicative, and effective. Once we’d confirmed what was moving/not and they got to work, there were whole areas of my apartment that were safely packed and loaded before I even noticed. Everything was unloaded at my destination quickly and they were a major help in getting us settled into our new place.
They'd already gone the extra mile, but to add to it, I had a pressboard dresser that I had damaged one of the legs on a long time ago. Noticing this while packing, Duke offered to reinforce it with a couple extra screws if I wanted. He added the extra hardware which matched the current screws already there and that dresser is now more solid than it's ever been!
For my next move, I will only be calling Otter Moving. Thanks again!

We've moved with Otter Moving 2 years in a row now and they have left us satisfied every time! They're reliable, efficient, and a great value for the price. Their custimer service is great and they have always been able to accommodate a lot of our needs, such as changing moving dates slightly or adding last minute inventory.

Amazing, amazing small moving company! I booked Otter moving to move our company from Harlem to Brooklyn. From the first call Advan was on point, the owner of the firm came to our location to view the move and quote a price. The day of the move the team Otter sent were all first class, hard working, careful people. We had no stress and the communication with everyone was exactly what we were expecting.
