The Otter Moving team’s (Nihan, Hans, Mark, the Movers) communication was outstanding throughout the entire process, which made me feel at ease. Booked these movers a few days before my move from Manhattan to Queens, and they not only gave me the best price (compared to other local moving companies I looked at), but the process to book them was easy and smooth. Hans in the office was efficient and answered all my questions, and Andrija and Advan were the two best movers I could have asked for. They excelled in flexibility, safety, and efficiency (I was on a really tight schedule, and they made it all happen with time to spare).

I had a family emergency and needed a queen-sized bed moved out of my apartment and stored to make room for a hospital bed. Otter was fantastic. They moved my bed out with a day's notice. The guys who came wrapped my mattresses completely and had them moved out in minutes. When the reverse process was needed, Nikola at Otter came to my rescue again. He was amazing. For flexibility, personalized service, efficiency, and excellent prices, Otter can't be beat. You can trust them. I am so grateful. Otter is simply THE BEST!!

Otter Moving & Storage is a 1st class company. The guys who moved my things from a storage unit to my new apartment were efficient, energetic and professional. They communicated with me as they loaded their van to let me know of any items damaged by a previous removal company and helped me dispose of them. The service I received from Hans both prior - getting quotes and confirming date & time - and following my move to make sure I was happy with the service was exceptional. I’ve used other removal companies like Clutter in the past who claim to care but don’t. These guys care and that matters to me. Thanks Otter!

We recently moved from Brooklyn to the Country Club neighborhood in the Bronx and had an amazing experience with Otter Moving Service. Moving out of a three-bedroom house can be stressful, but Jesus and Juan, the movers assigned to us, made it feel effortless. They were incredible—professional, hardworking, and highly efficient. They carefully moved all our furniture, reassembled it perfectly in our new home, and handled a large number of boxes with care. Beyond their expertise, they were courteous, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.

A big thank you also goes to Hans, who managed everything administratively. He provided excellent customer service, ensuring the process was smooth from start to finish. He offered us a very competitive price and even gave us a discount, which we truly appreciated.

Recently hired the Otter team having had used Piece of Cake last time. I was very happy with their level of service, they really went above and beyond, took a lot of care when packing and moving my items and were very friendly at all times. Would recommend to anyone looking for movers in the city. I preferred the service of PoC, no hidden fees and they were just friendlier.

Love my experience with Otter moving team.My move was unexpected due to the house being sold where my apartment is and Hans worked with my budget and time needed to move. I even hired them 2x within a week and a half since I was not sure if we can fit my stuff in the new apt. Hans worked with me and everything was clear and specific.I had truck 6 in the first move with Duke and then the second one with Jose. Both teams were fantastic! I highly recommend this awesome moving company! Thanks guys!

The overall experience of working with the team was very easy and pleasant. Advan was extremely helpful in answering my questions and getting me an immediate quote for my move. The process was very straightforward and Advan and the team were very communicative about everything along the way. As for the move itself, the two movers were in and out of my apartment within 30ish minutes and they were very careful and thorough with my things. Would definitely recommend them to my friends!

If you need movers, these are your guys! They are professional, friendly, and on the cheaper side of the other moving services in the New York City area. I would recommend them to any friends and family that want to use them. They have been amazing. I’ve already used them twice once for just moving and one for the full service where they pack up everything for you and move it as well. It was incredible. It was amazing 10 out of 10.

Great service and experience overall. I emailed on a Monday and received a text and call shortly after that and everything was arranged within an hour for a move in 5 days. They are responsive to any questions or issues and were super fast in getting the Certificate of Insurance filled out and sent to me. The actual process was easier than I could've imagined; got a storage unit loaded and unloaded into my apartment within 3 hours.

I've used Otter Moving & Storage three times now and each time it has exceeded my expectations. Moving can be one of the most stressful processes, but this company and the people who work here have always helped alleviate my nerves and worry. In all my experiences, they are very respectful, patient, and kind throughout the entire process. As a repeat customer, they also gave me a discount on my 2nd and 3rd moves! Additionally, the prices have been very affordable even before the discount is applied, compared to other companies that I've used and the job they do is better than any other. Had a great experience using Otter for our move. Working with Hans on the moving details and quote was very easy. I had to change my moving inventory and location a couple of times and he was very helpful with each change. When the movers came, they were friendly, efficient, and professional. I've moved several times in NYC and this was by far the smoothest one. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend using them!

Otter Moving was amazing. Advan was a pleasure to work with ahead of time to set up my quote and inventory, and then the 3 movers who helped us the day-of were all really hard workers who took good care of our things. They were polite, and extremely strong, fast, and efficient. They even gave me a few extra boxes free of charge for random items I had forgotten to box up. I would hire them again 10/10 and highly recommend to anyone looking for a seamless and reasonably priced moving experience.

I used them for moving out of my old apartment, storage, and moving into my new place all in the span of a month. Everything was seamless and stress-free. They were on time, very efficient (took about an hour each time) to pack my belongings and furniture during move-out, and also re-assembling during move-in. I had fragile glass furniture (table and desk) and an expensive desktop workstation that they handled with care and delivered in perfect condition. Highly recommend and will be relying on them for future moves!

I had a great experience with Otter Moving. The price was better than most other companies for a 1-bedroom apartment move which was why I picked them. The movers Danny and Jerry are the reason why I would pick Otter Moving again. Both of them were very courteous and professional throughout the entire move. They were really quick and all smiles even when it was clear they were tired. All the furniture was wrapped well with blankets and handled with care.

I hired Otter Moving for my local NYC move in fall 2024. After getting multiple moving quotes, they were the best price for my needs, were amenable when I kept adding more to the inventory, and they did a great job. They were fast wrapping my furniture and loading everything out of my first apartment and into the new place. They even used their strength and skills to help rescue my cat who had fallen behind the fridge while exploring the new apartment (security measures have since been taken on the fridge gap).
I would definitely recommend these guys and hire them again.

The movers came all the way from NYC to the Washington, DC area for my move to NYC. I honestly cannot rave about this company enough. The entire staff was a GODSEND from my moving rep, Advan, down to the moving crew. I booked them 2 months in advance and customer service was incredibly responsive through email and phone from beginning to end. Every single question regarding my move was answered and they never dropped the ball on anything. The moving crew worked so quickly and were very careful with my things (not a scratch in sight!). It was a very long day for them, but they were professional through it all. On top of all that, the prices were reasonable given that it was an out of state move.

Took a chance on Otter based on the reviews (which i originally thought were too good to be true). Happy to say they really ARE that good.

Jaoquin and his crew moved me from an apartment to their storage (at least 90 boxes and large furniture items), then two weeks later from storage to new apartment. Everything went smoothly.

My move coordinator Advan was responsive to all my questions, and overall communication was great. No surprise hidden fees, they stuck to their original quote, which was quite reasonable. Most importantly, everything arrived intact, nothing damaged. Would not hesitate to use them again!

Highly recommend Otter Moving! These guys came on time, were professional and ready. Made the whole moving process less stressful. I was loading out of a 4 floor walk up, and the guys managed to get it all done. I assumed we would get some huge muscle guys, since it was a lot of stairs. Instead, it was four younger Latino guys and their mighty strength was incredible. Well done! We started in the morning at 9am and were done before 1pm. Absolutely amazing to work with. Office management was great. Customer service was spot on. Mark and his team were super friendly and attentive. One of my concerns was the trucks cleaning, as I did not want to catch any pests. They assured me they clean the truck. So if you’re making a major move, I would definitely hire these guys. Awesome job and thank you!

I have an incredible experience with Otter last month! First, Advan was super helpful during the booking process as I was exploring various dates, times, and also was still working through my inventory. He was super helpful. Then, on the day of, Vlad was super communicative. I booked the afternoon slot, but at 10am I received a call that the morning slot person had 4x the amount of things they promised, and that it would undoubtedly delay my slot. Vlad said he'd call at 1pm with an update and at 12:58pm he called with an update. He promised that my move would still happen that day, but that it just might be later into the evening. At 4pm he called me with another update and then at 4:15 the driver Slav called me to let me know that he was 15 min out. Although they arrived 30 minutes late, I so appreciated how communicative and proactive they were.

Then once Slav and his team arrived, they moved my entire studio apartment out in under 45 min. They wrapped up everything so carefully and also communicated with me what they were doing and when. It was so great. I'm also using them for storage and will post again when I receive my items.

I would highly recommend Otter for your move! The whole process was fast efficient and friendly. I liked dealing with Advan for the quote, he was kind, straightforward, and easy to get ahold of with updates and questions. That’s so important because a lot of other companies I got quotes from were slow or their communication was bad. The pricing was in a good sweet spot, not too high and not too low where you start to wonder why. We had a lot of stuff in our 2 bedroom apt in Brooklyn and some really heavy awkward pieces, but Jauquin and Gregory were very fast and strong and professional. I was a bit dubious when I saw only two guys but wow they did a great job! We felt they went above and beyond with our difficult move and had a great attitude so we gave them a bigger than normal tip. We are so thankful everything went perfectly with the move!! Definitely get a quote from Otter!

The Otter Moving team were fantastic to work with for our recent move out of Brooklyn to upstate New York. They have competitive pricing, a seamless process, and they were extremely flexible with helping to arrange my move (I had to change the date a few times and Nihad was extremely helpful and flexible!). Slav and his team were friendly, efficient and good vibes the whole way - highly recommended! They moved our 2br from a narrow walkup without a scratch to anything. And at the other end there wasn't any parking close by so they trolleyed everything from the end of the street and despite this they still got it all done in a few hours. We had a few extra items and some big sprawling delicate plants and they were very accommodating. But I'd say most importantly, when you're stressed out of your mind and up all night packing, they brought the chill, friendly good vibes which really made the difference!

Every penny spent was beyond worth it! These movers were fantastic—super friendly, unbelievably careful, and impressively efficient. My roommate and I were blown away by how fast they managed everything; we were in and out of our old place and settled into the new one in just a few hours. They meticulously packed all our belongings, so nothing even came close to breaking. Watching them dismantle and reassemble two beds like it was second nature was something else. I had to move cross country (NYC to Seattle) with very little time to prepare and on a pretty tight budget. Every moving company I spoke to quoted me a high price, so I was beyond relieved when I started speaking with Nikola at Otter. The customer service from Nikola and his team was superb. They were super responsive to phone & email messages; they were kind and patient and explained everything clearly. I won’t lie that I started getting very nervous closer to the move date - the price and the 5 star rating must be too good to be true??? However, after receiving my shipment today (well within the quoted timeframe) I can confirm they really are that good!!! The team in NYC and the team in Seattle were awesome with my items; everything arrived in good shape and the guys were all just so nice.
