Had a really excellent experience with Otter moving from Queens to Long Island.

Peter in the front office was a pleasure to work with; he was responsive, helpful, and really worked with me over the course of a month.

Diego and his team of movers were excellent. They were attentive, noted which items were marked fragile and handled those with particular care, and most important of all, got everything delivered and put together intact and unscathed.

Highly recommend.

Otter Moving was fantastic from start to finish. They handled everything with great care during my move from Brooklyn to DC. The team was punctual, communicative, and incredibly friendly, which made the whole process much less stressful. This was my first time hiring movers and I have to admit I was nervous, but Milos and Ogi were wonderful! Super efficient and careful with our furniture. There were multiple pieces we weren't sure would fit through the door that they got out easily without scraping (but of course they were also carefully padded in case of bumps). I also had them handle my detolf (full glass shelf) which I was very stressed about and they were very reassuring through the process as well as good about protecting the shelf. Would definitely work with this moving company again.

I honestly cannot say enough about how phenomenal this moving company is — hands down the best I’ve ever used (and I’ve moved a lot over the years). Agris and José were absolute pros from the moment they arrived. They showed up at 9 a.m. on the dot, cheerful, polite, and ready to go. Both of them are unbelievably strong and efficient; you can tell instantly they’ve handled countless moves before because everything they did was smooth, organized, and methodical.

What could have been a chaotic and exhausting Saturday turned into one of the most stress-free moves I’ve ever had. They carefully wrapped and handled our furniture, moved heavy items with ease, and coordinated everything so seamlessly that by 1 p.m. my boyfriend and I were completely settled into our new place. It honestly felt effortless on our end — they took care of everything with such confidence and precision.

On top of the incredible service, the pricing was shockingly reasonable. For the quality and speed of their work, it felt like an amazing deal. I truly can’t recommend Agris and José enough — their professionalism, strength, and experience set them far apart from any of the big-name moving companies I’ve tried before. If you want a move that’s fast, stress-free, and handled by people who genuinely know what they’re doing, these are your guys!

I booked Otter to move my most precious possession, an upright piano, plus of course furniture and boxes. Vlad kept me updated on timing the day of the move (and before as well), the guys were very professional and wrapped my piano like a baby and moved it down 1 flight of stairs! Wrapped all my furniture and even took last minute items, which helped! The move went smoothly and they were fast and friendly. I would use them again in a cinch! But hopefully this is my last move :) Plus, it's a small company and they can definitely use word of mouth to grow their business and compete with larger companies. Very happy with all of it, piano unscathed!

I had such a wonderful experience with Otter Moving! Starting with my consultation with Hans, who was very patient and explained the services available. We discussed all the items I needed moved and settled on the estimate. The email and text communications were timely and kept me on track with the upcoming move details.

On the day of the move, I was contacted by Mario and his team who arrived with smiles and ready to work. We discussed the items that needed packing and reviewed the moving list. They packed my two bedroom apartment with care and quickness. We met at the new location and they unloaded the items, placing them in the assigned rooms. Hands down the best moving company in NYC in all regards. They provide the best pricing and friendliest service. Incredibly communicative and flexible throughout the whole moving process and they facilitated two moves for us with 15 days of storage in between. I was in need of a company to move a machine from Connecticut to New York. I was a bit worried about having a moving company move the equipment rather than a rigging company. I contacted Otter Moving and spoke to Adam on the phone. Adam was very professional and explained in detail exactly how he planned on moving the machine. He was confident with the move so I decided to give him a chance and I am glad I did. The team at Otter Moving did an amazing job with the move and I would definitely use them again in the future.

As everyone, packing and moving was very stressful for me and I was a mess packing as I was supposed to pack in the boxes but there were multiple grocery bags instead. However, Otter staff were so nice and put the bags in their boxes and move them in one go without damaging anything. They pack my mattresses, TV and mirror so well too. Needless to say, they were super fast packing as well as unpacking and reassembling things. The move only took like 2 and 1/2 hours including more than 1 hour in traffic. The price was very reasonable and they were very efficient too, I’m definitely using the service if I were to move again.

Aleksander & Luka did a great job! So professional and nice and all my stuff arrived safely. They were the most cost efficient options as well after I called 4-5 companies! Would definitely book again!!

I also used Otter Movers a few months after and Zlatko, Milos and Ognjen were great as well. Our move was extra painful considering both buildings were 4-5 flight walk ups!! Otter movers consistently gives the best prices for moves and does everything with a happy attitude and attention to detail!

10/10 experience! Worked with Stan to get a really reasonable quote and Mez on moving day. Everything was super quick and efficient and they were super careful with all my furniture! No extra fees on moving day. The whole move (from 5 floor walk up to 4th floor walk up 30 mins away) took just under 3 hours. Cannot recommend enough!

It had been 5 years since my last move and the previous movers that I used left quite a lot to be desired, so I was particularly picky when it came to selecting movers this time around. I must’ve spoken to over 15 different moving companies, but Otter stood out. Peter was extremely communicative, understanding, and reassuring given the strict timing and COI requirements for the condo buildings that I was moving to/from. I never had an issue getting in touch and always had all of my questions answered in detail. I had to add a few items to my move inventory at the last minute and the updated quote was still beyond reasonable. When it came to the move itself, the four movers with their truck arrived right on time, and the entire move was completed within 4 hours without issue. Note that Otter provides flat rate quotes and honestly had the most competitive rates out there - they could not be beat. All this to say that I would highly recommend Otter Moving - they helped make an otherwise incredibly stressful and daunting move remarkably smooth!

Agris and Jose did an amazing job in moving me from my apartment( which was in a building on the 4th floor with no elevator) to a house , I also had heavy items but they never complained nor did they refused . they were on time, polite, understanding, and they understood the assignment , they left my old address ahead of me and when I arrived everything was placed exactly where I wanted it, they unboxed and cleaned up so fast it’s unbelievable . I rated this move 100/10 .. otter moving is the BEST COMPANY.if you’re looking for professionalism, quality and driven then otter moving and store is the only way to go …..

I usually ignore writing reviews, but the service and price I got from Otter Moving was incredibly well from the first call with Hans who set up everything, to the picking up my stuff in NYC by Nikolai.

First, I called Peace of Cake company as I see their trucks everywhere. But their quote was higher. Actually, because of their high price, I was giving up hiring a moving company and was thinking of renting a cargo van. But I had a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed and mattress that were very heavy and complicated to disassemble, so I didn’t know what to do. Then, my neighbour in the same building moved out a day ago and I saw Otter name on the truck. My neighbour was smart! When I called Otter and sent pictures of items, Hans quoted me almost the half price of what I got from Peace of Cake. The price was so good that it was almost equivalent if I hired cargo van and helpers to carry my stuff on and off the truck, driving from Astoria NY to Houston TX for 24 hours, gas, insurance, etc.

The day of the moving, Peter’s team with Nikolai came early in the morning. They were so fast wrapping, boxing, and disassembling that a one bedroom apartment was completely done within 1 hour!! Three guys of Peter’s team came on Saturday at 8:30am in the morning and left at 9:35am. Unbelievable! It was so fast and efficient that most of my neighbours were still sleeping, so didn’t have a problem waiting for the elevator.

In the future, when I need to move (and I will move) I know who to call. Many thanks to Hans and Peter’s team, including Nikolai!!

Our entire experience was seamless! I was so stressed about our move and as soon as I hopped on the call with Otter moving my worries were appeased. They walked me through the whole process and got me scheduled in no time with a very fair quote. On moving day, our team came in extremely prepared and were so efficient while still taking care with all our belongings. They truly made our experience stress-free! Highly recommend!

Agris and Pedro from Truck 19 moved us from Manhattan to Brooklyn and did a fantastic job. They arrived right at the start of the time window, and took fantastic care of our belongings. They were patient with the unpacking and helped arrange the apartment as we liked. 10/10 recommend.

We chose this company bc they had all 5 star reviews. We were told we would receive 3 movers and all we needed was to move from the third floor to the fourth floor. Long story short - they sent only two movers but we paid the same price, regardless. What really gets me though is they absolutely scratched the hell out of all of our bedroom furniture. Not a couple of scratches but many gashes more than I can count. It's not like we asked them to move our furniture down three flights of stairs, put it in a truck and then move it up several flights of stairs to the second apartment. They literally were moving this furniture one floor. They gave us a small discount that wouldn't even be enough to purchase our nightstand. It really pisses me off to read all these reviews how they wrapped the furniture. MUST BE NICE TO HAVE RECEIVED THAT SERVICE. Disgusted by this company and would never use them again.

I’m missing an entire box that had valuable items.

I had Truck 19 Argus and jose move my things which was really fast. They came very early but it worked out.

They packed my items into storage and also moved the items from storage to my new apartment.

I had a box of valuable electronics which were lost but they quickly located the box and showed what caused the misplacement on their end. I ended up receiving my items the next day and appreciate the quick response

We had a great experience with Otter. From the beginning working with Nikola on organizing, to the day of the move, it was seamless. The moving crew Joaquin, Federico, and Diego were incredible to work with— so professional, fast, and careful with everything. They treated our belongings as if they were their own and still managed to get everything done so quickly. On top of that, they were genuinely kind and easy to be around, which made what could have been a stressful day feel so much lighter. We recommend Otter highly.

This must have been one of the easiest moves I've ever had. Great costumer service from start to finish. John, who helped me coordinate my move followed up with me the day before my move, which alleviated my stress. The movers showed up right on time and loaded my studio apartment into the moving truck within 30-40 minutes. They were professional, efficient, handled my belongings with care, and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Otter and I will certainly use them again for my next move.

I had an excellent experience with Otter’s moving & storage services. John was helpful and efficient with giving me a quote and setting up the move. I had to change my moving date after booking due to an unforeseen circumstance and they were extremely accommodating. On the day of the move, two movers came for my 1 bedroom apartment and took great care in wrapping my furniture and belongings. I’m utilizing their long term storage services. I chose Otter due to their affordable pricing of both the move and storage and their excellent reviews. Everyone I came in contact with from the company was very pleasant and helpful, which was a plus.

The best moving experience! This was our first time moving across states from Brooklyn, NY to Charlotte, NC and Otter Moving & Storage not only had the best price point, but also incredible service. Our movers, Z & MJ from Truck #12, were fast, efficient, careful and completed the move seamlessly. They picked up all of our items Saturday morning (August 23) and we had everything in Charlotte unloaded in our new home by 10:30 AM Monday morning (August 25). They even took extra items at no additional charge and they handled our belongings with care / were great listeners as well. I highly recommend this moving company - from the initial conversation with Mark and securing the reasonable estimate, to the quick move, everything went smoothly and stress-free. We will definitely use them again in the future if they expand and have trucks in NC as well :)
