I’m from nyc. I’ve moved 14 times in 20 years and this is hands down the best moving company I’ve ever experienced. Everyone from start to finish was SO kind and patient, the rates were so transparent and affordable, everything arrived to our new place way ahead of schedule and nothing was remotely damaged. I called many different places trying to get an original quote and Otter moving was by far the most affordable and also took such good care of my things. I was only supposed to have my things in storage for 7 days and it turned into 2.5 months, the pickup and delivery process was so smooth and efficient. I recently moved with Otter Moving & Storage. We moved a full 1 bedroom "pre-packed" with moving locations 7 minutes apart each other. The first apartment was located on the ground floor, the second an elevator building with exclusive access. We had minimal furniture and though our final inventory list (boxes & bags) ended up being larger than the original agreed upon list, Otter worked on fair pricing for us. The move was completed by two guys in two hours! My only suggestion is to have a full list of inventory ready before confirming your appointment. However, the Otter team will connect with you before and after your move if needed.

He was extremely helpful as I kept adding and removing things from my quote, providing quick updates of the estimated size of my move. Do not use otter moving if you don’t want your stuff messed up. They damaged essentially everything they packed and moved. They stripped screws/bolt of everything they disassembled and assembled back (like bed frames). They yanked the cables off of my TV and almost damaged the TV itself, got my carpets dirty, didn’t wrap up multiple sensitive furniture/objects and my speakers have scratches all over.
If you want careless movers who will forget to move certain pieces of furniture or break your things while they do, then this is the one.

wanted to write a review for them even though the move hasn’t happened yet. my property management gave me a lot of trouble with the COI preventing the movers from coming in, possibly delaying the move by days, but Vlad personally is doing everything he can using all the resources he has to push this forward, like moving schedules for the next day.

Had a fabulous experience with Otter Moving and Storage. They gave me a quick and accurate quote (very reasonable), were very flexible when our moving date changed several times due to issues with a closing date. On moving date they arrived right on time in our home in Connecticut and were done loading items quickly and off to Brooklyn where they made one more stop to pick up more items and then off to the final destination in Brooklyn. Everything arrived in perfect order, they were very attentive to our requests that certain things be unloaded before others (ie an area rug) and put all items exactly where we requested.
