We had a great experience with Otter! From communicating with John for the inventory, estimate, and any other details, to Agris and José on the day of the move. They were right on time; super communicative, friendly, fast; and not a single item was dinged, damaged, or broken. Amazing experience using Otter Moving! Quick and efficient. Took under 3 hours from start to finish and they took down and assembled my bed and set all the other furniture wherever I wanted. The crew were extremely friendly as well! Very satisfied!

Otter Moving & Storage is literally the best moving company in NY. I used them for a local move a week ago, and the experience was absolutely perfect - from the first call with Mark, to meeting Jesus and the crew. The crew arrived on time, and they were not only professional and efficient, but also very friendly. They handled evetything with care and even used extra blankets free of charge for my vintage cabinet.

I can’t say enough good things about Otter moving and storage. From the first call to the final box being placed in my new apartment, their team was nothing short of amazing.

They answered all my questions ahead of time, gave me a fair estimate, and stuck to their schedule.

On moving day, the crew arrived early, and they handled every item — from fragile lamps to hefty dressers — with care. Nothing was scratched, dented, or damaged.

Everyone was polite, well‑organized, and genuinely nice. They wore uniforms, kept things tidy, and made sure I was comfortable with each step.

What they quoted is exactly what I paid — no hidden fees, no surprises.

Also helped me with light disassembly and reassembly of furniture at the new place.

Customer service is EXCELLENT. My the moment Luke called about my request for a quote, I felt like the move was totally taken care of… and for a fair price. Everyone I dealt with on the phone was friendly, helpful and readily available.

Then— the movers I had (Agris and Jose) were epic! Totally professional, extremely fast, efficient and organized. I’m genuinely amazed at how smooth everything went.

One of the best moves ever. The sales guy on the phone Peter Slavinski was super nice and helpful and attentive. The movers showed up on time and were very fast but careful with all my stuff. Showed up at 7 am move was complete by 11:30 am. All around good experience for what can be one of the most difficult days.

Exceptional service, expertly executed. I had Milo and Joe helping move my apartment and they were personable, efficient and knew exactly what they were doing. It’s the best value I have come across for a removal company. 4 flights of stairs in the pouring rain as well!

Honestly good. Moving sucks, but our experience with Otter made it suck less. We did full packing and move. We had never hired packers before and it was really worth it - careful & efficient. Otter worked with us on price, some flexibility in day-of # of items, really speedy. Peter was a great and responsive coordinator and Mario oversaw a highly efficient move. Would recommend.

Milos and Joe were absolutely incredible, professional, efficient, and extremely careful with all my belongings. They arrived right on time, worked quickly but with great attention to detail, and made what could have been a stressful day completely smooth and easy. Everyone at Otter made the experience so seamless and easy. I had a two part move, with some things going into storage out of state and some things moving locally. My rep Greg was so kind and prompt over text. He was flexible and even was able to adjust the move date when a storm was forecasted for the original date. The move team were clear pros. Lucky and his team were amazing. Moving was super stressful as I was trying to prepare my wife and two children.(Who are both under Three years old). This is by far the best moving company I have ever used. They were on time, excellent communication, organized, wrapped and protected furniture and mattress and delivered it in the same perfect condition. I called 5 days prior to my move and was able to get a reasonable quote. Peter took my inventory (5 bedroom home) and was able to give me a quote in 15 minutes. Joe and his crew showed up on time and we went over the inventory. They began wrapping and protecting my furniture with the utmost care. When they arrived at the new home they carefully brought furniture im and reassembled. Not one scratch to my walls or floor! I will recommend everyone use Otto! Professional, reasonable and quality service!

BEFORE MOVE: Quick quote. Thorough, proactive, responsive, and reassuring communication. Good price. Mark was great in week leading up.
DURING MOVE: great team with Peter as foreman. Inevitable curveballs on day of handled with care and grace. Packed efficiently and carefully.

Otter Moving & Storage is a must!!! My move was a bit last minute, but they accommodated my schedule effortlessly. I’m so glad I found a moving company that’s reliable, efficient, reasonably priced, and genuinely careful with every step of the process.

Stephan and Shawn were patient and friendly throughout the customer service process. Movers-Agris, Jose, and Mike were all incredibly helpful — not only did they handle the move itself, but their box and packing service was a total game changer. If you don’t have the time (or energy) to pack everything yourself, it’s absolutely worth it.

The storage option was another huge plus. In NYC, it’s rare to have overlapping leases, so being able to store my belongings during the transition made everything so much less stressful.

Pro tip: try to book them outside the beginning or end of the month — you’ll likely save money!

Moved from NYC to Orange County NY. The two movers, Milos and Ogi were great. They had everything wrapped and prepared to move very quickly and professionally. I was skeptical at first because there were only two movers, but these guys got the job done quickly! Would definitely recommend.

If you ever need to move contact OTTER MOVERS and ask for GREG, he helped me so much to handle everything and understand how to quote it and was in touch with me on every question that I had. I used Otter for the first time after previously working with other moving companies. The experience was seamless from end to end - Tony, Vlad, and Jennifer were very helpful in providing a quote, and updating for changes to my move inventory. The quoting process was very transparent and efficient. I rented plastic bins for packing purposes, and the team was very flexible dropping them off at a time that works for me (including when I needed to request extra be delivered).

Biske and Camilo were my crew on moving day. They were both friendly, courteous, and highly efficient. They showed up at 7am, had my apartment completely packed and loaded by 9am, arrived at the new apartment by 10am and had everything unloaded, in order, and reassembled by 11am, leaving me most of the day to get unpacked and settled. This all made my moving experience a breeze and for a very fair price. I would highly recommend considering Otter for any future moves in the NYC area.

Otter did a great job with my moving process. I used them for taking items from my old apartment, storing the items for a month, then moving them into my new apartment. Everything went really smoothly including communication with the team, timing, and the capability of the crew. The crew went above and beyond during my move and was very nice. Agris was my lead mover and he was great, knowledgeable, and careful. Jose was helping him and he was very diligent. Throughout my planning process, Nihad was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend the Otter team!

Just finished moving from Manhattan to Brooklyn and the experience was easy and quick. Worked with Izzy of Team 16 and he was phenomenal, professional and so accommodating. While moving is always stressful, they made it as smooth as possible which is greatly appreciated.

I had a great experience with Otter moving. I worked with John on my quote and he was very friendly and communicative. The quote was the lowest I got compared to a few other well known services, and there were no surprise extra charges. Blazo and his partner did a great job on my move, they were right on time and everything took under 2.5 hours to move from Manhattan to Brooklyn. They protected my furniture with blankets and had extra boxes for my monitor. Very smooth and pleasant experience, definitely recommend!

Otter Moving was an overall positive experience for me. They were quick, professional, and careful with all my stuff (nothing broke and everything wrapped/handled beautifully). The staff are nice but do keep to themselves. The only thing I was disappointed about was that they weren't 100% transparent with pricing. I was very clear before the move that my bed frame included storage drawers and that the whole thing would need to be disassembled/reassembled. They did not charge me extra prior but the second the movers showed up they told me they were going to charge an extra $200 for it. I was able to get in touch with the office and they acknowledged that they missed this and provided the service to me for free. I give them credit for handling this exceptionally. Additionally, when booking, the company seems to suggest that wardrobe boxes are included but I was charged for them. They also charged a hefty "special handling" fee for a wardrobe but it was not handled any differently from the rest of my furniture - not disassembled, but simply wrapped and carried. Other companies did not charge me extra for this when I compared quotes. I feel like the company needs to be more transparent about the exact pricing because the reason I chose them was that I thought they were. Note that they do charge for every single box and item you have by the cubic foot, though they are upfront about it! They did include things that other companies don't though - like TV box, mirror box, etc. - this is impressive. Overall, they were professional, swift, and got the job done with no hassle at moderate pricing compared to other companies. I tipped all 3 of my movers $100 each.
