My moving experience was amazing! I had two guys helping me, unfortunately, I don’t remember their names, but one was Serbian and the other probably Mexican. They were absolutely fantastic! They packed everything so quickly, disassembled and reassembled my bed, and carried all my stuff up to the 3rd floor. Honestly, if I did it myself, it would have taken me two weeks! Everything went perfectly, and I was worried they might scratch the floor, but it was all handled with such care. Super happy with the whole process!

I NEVER write reviews for anything but I feel so strongly about doing one for this company because of how outstanding they were to work with. The entire process from the first call I made to the final delivery was SO easy, pleasant and they were super super communicative. Was always able to reach them via text, email and calls for any questions. We even had to reschedule our move multiple times and they happily agreed and rescheduled even with only a days notice. Milos and Ogi were the delivery men on site for move day and they were AWESOME. So so nice, quick, professional, and just just a pleasant experience all around. I’m so happy I went with my gut and hired this family business over any of the other big more well known moving companies in the city. Will only be using them moving forward for anything!!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Otter Moving Company, and I can’t say enough good things about Ogi and Milos! From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and incredibly careful with all my belongings. They handled everything with such respect and attention to detail, making the whole process stress-free.

Ogi and Milos worked like a true team—friendly, hardworking, and clearly experienced. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was packed, loaded, and unloaded safely. What impressed me most was how quickly they worked without cutting any corners.

If you’re looking for movers who are reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely care about their customers, I 100% recommend Otter Moving Company, especially Ogi and Milos. They turned what could have been a stressful moving day into a smooth and even enjoyable experience!

These guys are great. From the second I inquired, Stephan was super helpful and transparent in helping me organize the move and draft up the inventory. Initially, I was thinking of going with another company that I had used in the past but their eagerness and dedication, as well as the numerous great reviews, convinced me. The guys arrived perfectly on time the day of. Izy, Victor and Freddie were super quick, careful and nice. And all of this for a more than fair price (pretty much half of what a company with the same level of organization and service would have billed). Will 100% use Otter again next time I need to move.

best moving experience I've had in NYC - got a bunch of quotes from everyone and Otter was the best, movers showed up on time, were very kind and friendly, extremely careful with everything, no damage to single item and all was done quickly and easy, will use them again in the future - the movers even did an additional stop to grab and item which was very helpful. I would recommend the packing service as well to save a lot of time

I had a bad experience. Very unprofessional, not enough manpower on moving day. They were unable to communicate in English. One could not understand nor speak English at all the other only broken English.
Damage to 2 designer lamps because they were packed too tightly and broke.
Response from office was slow and I had to reach out to them. The refund amount is ridiculous and does not even come close to what the replacement will cost me. We have come to a financial agreement to pay for replacement parts but only after I wrote the review.
I would never recommend or use them again.

I had the best experience working with Otter moving! From the very beginning, communication was excellent. I was able to email changes to my list of things if I decided not to bring something (or decided to keep something i was originally going to sell/donate). I was always kept apprised of the cost and there were absolutely no surprises. Adam was very thorough with everything and he responded to be so quickly! On the day before the move I got a call from a real person to confirm arrival time and take payment. The movers arrived right at the top of my move window and had me moved out/moved in so fast (under 3 hours). Both movers were lovely people and made the experience a lot less stressful. I would recommend otter to anyone needing to move. They did a great job and I couldn't be happier and more grateful.

I reached out to a few companies for quotes on my move from Ridgewood to Chinatown. Not only did Otter reply first, they gave the best rate and asked all the right questions about my move. Their reviews were solid and I chose to trust them after a great conversation with their representative, Tony. He made planning easy and ran through my inventory with care.

When the day came to move, they confirmed the truck’s ETA and the team arrived on time with solid communication. They wrapped my furniture professionally and moved efficiently. When they arrived to my new place, they scouted parking quickly and moved things in an incredibly efficient manner. It went smoothly!

Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone making a move. 5/5 stars, great value.

Absolutely exceptional experience! I was moving out of a sixth-floor walk-up, and the two movers who helped me, Alexander and Luca, I believe, were truly incredible. My move was scheduled for the 1–4 PM window, but they gave me a call around 11:30 to ask if they could come early (and were totally willing to wait if needed), which ended up being a huge bonus. They were professional, efficient, and handled the brutal heat and endless stairs like total pros. I couldn’t have asked for a better team, highly recommend!

I’m so happy to have chosen otter to be my moving company. Booking was stress -free. The movers Danny, Brandon and Tony were great . They were fast, very hardworking, kind friendly and most importantly gentle with my things. Moving can be very stressful and to my surprise everything went very smooth ,I even had time to relax during the move. I def recommend otter if you’re looking for a trustworthy , good moving company.

Moves are always stressful, but Otter moving made every step of a complicated three part move completely stressless and they didn't hike up prices on us. It was very reasonable! I had a different company booked and two days before the move the other company suddenly wasn't allowed to access one of the buildings! So I called Otter moving, just two days before I had to move and I couldn't have been in better hands! Peter spoke with me on the phone, perfectly coordinating what needed to be moved from two apartments, one in the city and one upstate, into our final location! He got the insurance forms done day of for our buildings, too! He was friendly, knowledgeable and really cared about our move, Peter had all the right questions to ask to make sure nothing was forgotten about!

It only got better day of when Agris and his coworker arrived at the first location, exactly on time! They were so fast, with complete care for my furniture and too many boxes! Everything was handled gently and when I pointed out an old antique mantel that's had one too many moves and beginning to be too loose. Agris impressed me with how carefully he wrapped it so it would survive a long move, and it did! They had a second stop and the final location had time restrictions for the end of the day and they both worked so hard and made it happen. It was clear they were both very experienced. They knew just where to park, how to fit everything flawlessly in their truck, and even cared to ask where we'd like the boxes set.

I couldn't believe after an 8 hour day of moving two apartments that they came inside and assembled every bit of furniture they'd needed taken apart. They came with all the wrapping, floor protectors and drill bits they'd need for a move! They worked hard, were friendly, clean and communicative the entire time. I couldn‘t be more impressed and thankful for the entire teams hardwork and care. I'd recommend Otter moving to anyone, and will definitely be using them if I need to again in the future!

Otter was very reasonably price compared to some of the other major moving companies in NYC. We needed short term storage and they offered free storage for up to 14 days, and our total move costs with storage ended up being less expensive than a one way move without storage. They had good availability in terms of days and times for moving, as we were in a very fluid situation about our move-in date, and they were able to accommodate us even during the busy end of month and summer moving time. Movers were also efficient and none of our furniture or boxes were damaged.

They were consummate professionals. I was so nervous leading up to this move and we were going pretty far (5 hours away). The crew showed up on time, took inventory and immediately got to work. Before I could pack up the odds and ends (things I had used the night before), their team had already loaded 45 something boxes into the truck!! My furniture was a little bulky and they managed that too with complete caution and control. When we arrived, they placed my boxes in the according to the labels and intuitively knew where to place my furniture (they had better ideas than I did). Duke and Dwayne - thank you so much! I’m so grateful for the fantastic work you did!

I can't say enough good things about this moving company - they were absolutely amazing! What impressed me most was that Jonny and his crew completed the move out unsupervised as I had to run to my new place for a FiOS appt, and they still went above and beyond expectations. It is hard to find a team that you can trust especially in NYC! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free move at a reasonable price. I know I'll be using them again for sure.

Moving in NYC is so stressful, with the 5 floor walk-ups and crammed spaces. Otter made it so much better!

Customer service: Top notch! We had great interaction with Hans, who patiently walked us through setting up an inventory list and providing us a quote. He was also very accommodating with changes to the list, right until moving time even!

The move itself: Amazing! They sent two people with a large truck. They were so kind and accommodating as well! Very smooth and efficient, but also importantly, very careful with our things, fragile or not. They also took apart and reassembled our furniture as needed, and made sure to secure them with adequate protection. They also went above and beyond, helping us organize more stuff than we thought we could fit at the new place!

Overall, I highly recommend Otter for your next move. They have earned a very loyal customer in me!

These guys were great! Well priced, organized, responsive. They handled my inter-state move so well, they were gone by the time I caught up with them and my stuff was safe in the new apartment.

I had a great experience with Otter. My moving situation was especially chaotic — some things went into storage, some things went to another address, and unforeseen issues kept arising — but the movers handled everything in a very friendly and efficient manner. Coordinating the logistics with Peter over the phone was also very easy. I looked into four different moving + storage providers and Otter was the only one who brought up the future move *out* of storage, which showed me that they really think about the full customer experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Otter Moving Company is in the business of making moving far less stressful. I had the pleasure of hiring the team for my family's recent out of state move, and they absolutely went out of their way to make sure it was as smooth as possible. I can’t say enough good things about Samuel and Michael from Otter Moving. As an interior designer, I work with movers all the time and this team really stood out. They treated every piece like it was their own, carefully wrapping and organizing everything with so much attention to detail. They took their time in the best way, never rushing, just making sure everything was secure and documented.

Communication was clear from start to finish and they made what’s usually an overwhelming process feel surprisingly easy. They were warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the day. I felt completely at ease knowing my items were in such capable hands.

Very professional movers. Before I hired another company Dumbo moving &storage, they just wasted my time, when their movers went in & they saw furniture, they said it’s very heavy we can’t do it. But this company OTTER They know what to do in tough situations and how to carry heavy furnitures. They wrapped all the furniture to prevent scratches. My china cabinet was very big and really heavy but three boys(don’t know their names) did an awesome job. They even called me after to find out if everything went well and if i had any concerns. I would highly recommend them if you need movers. Thank you so much guys for making everything easy for me.

Brandon and his team were great! They arrived promptly and took the time to make sure they knew which items to take and which to leave. They were very careful in wrapping and protecting furniture and fragile items. Move was to a three story walk up, and they were very strong and efficient in bringing things upstairs. Brandon assembled the furniture that had been disassembled for the move and arranged it in our home where we wanted items. The move went very quickly and nothing was damaged or broken. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend for your New York City move.
