We had a fantastic experience with Otter Moving! We needed a heavy armoire moved from White Plains to New Rochelle, which was complicated by the fact that both buildings required specific Certificates of Insurance (COIs). Unlike other companies, Otter Moving’s internal team handled the paperwork seamlessly and provided exactly what was needed. They scheduled us quickly, and less than 22 hours later, our furniture arrived in perfect condition and professionally blanket-wrapped. Highly recommend them for their efficiency and attention to detail!

Moving has to be one of the most stressful times for anyone. From the first phone call to inquire about pricing to the moment all my belongings were at my new location, my experience was wonderful. The crew that was assigned to my move were extremely professional, respectful and efficient. They arrived on time and were swift in wrapping all of my furniture and loading everything on the truck! I would recommend Otter to anyone who is moving and would appreciate a seamless move. More than worth the price! Instead of spending more money elsewhere, use that money to bless the movers with a nice tip!

I had the best experience with Otter. They arrived a bit behind (NYC traffic will do that to you) but as soon as they got in, they were efficient and cared for my things like they were their own belongings. Great movers. Great attitudes. Great overall experience... I will be calling Otter again for my next move!

Based on my personal experience, I would 100% recommend Otter Moving and Storage over companies like Piece of Cake or Roadway Moving. Bojan, Hector and Juan (truck 8) did an incredible job with my move. They were friendly, efficient and all of my boxes and furniture were safely moved to my new place. I also used their packing services for my kitchen and Bojan was so quick at getting everything done. Highly recommend Otter and specially this team.

Truck 23 - Brandon and Marcus - did a phenomenal job with my move. They were super fast, professional, and friendly. Additionally, Otter’s customer support was exceptional throughout - proactively communicating with me from day 1 through move day. The price also can’t be beat.

This is my second time using Otter moving company within a year and again the did not disappoint. If you are looking for a company to move you do not look any further. These guys are awesome with packing and moving you with respect and honor. The pride they take in helping you with your move is unmatched. I have used moving companies before and know the difference in what to look for. If I could give these guys $500 plus for per person I would have they deserve it. The awesome and worry free service that they do is unbeatable. If you like me and read reviews try Otter and you too will will use their service and recommend them to family and friends.

Went with otter after hearing negative things about Piece of Cake and Roadway. I have moved over 7x times in the last 10x years and my experience with Otter was simply the best. The guys arrived early, packed ever single item with care (not a single glass broken), and moved my belongings in a 1x bedroom apt to my new place in under 3x hours! I can’t recommend these guys enough. THANK YOU, Otter!!

Otter has helped me with two moves, one for work furniture and then to move furniture out of my grandmother’s home. It was about 10 pieces of furniture and a five+ hour drive. They were on time and super friendly, and bonus points for not pissing off my dad:) Everything was smooth, these guys are great, highly recommend!

I was told 4 movers were coming but only 2 came. It took them the whole day to move my stuff. Grant it there was a miscommunication on how many storage rooms needed to be moved. Both movers asked and pushed for 20% tip and argued with me when they didn’t get it.

HIRE THEM. I have dealt with a lot of moving companies in 20 years of NYC living and will now be moving all my business to Otter Moving & Storage. The quote was the most reasonable I received and it was received within an hour of my inquiry, I was assigned a personal move manager (Nihad) to walk me through the quote / booking / COI process. They accommodated a same week move and followed up using my preferred method of communication to ensure all information needed for a smooth operation was received. On the day of the move I received a voice call directly from my movers, letting me know that they were running early, and were understanding when I wasn't quite ready. Pablo & Jesus were fantastic - communicative, flexible, funny, and professional. They were parked legally and took their time to assess the furniture protection needs prior to starting the move. They treated my high worth antique furniture with extra care - wrapping each glass shelf individually and blanketing every item. They were communicative along the way and gracious when there was a address mix-up for the destination. The whole experience was efficient and expeditious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

All items were clearly listed before I received my quote, yet on moving day I was told items were missing and was charged significantly more. This was not accurate. My bed set wasn’t fully assembled, and the move was very disorganized. And for the price, everything should’ve been moved but items were still left behind. I would not recommend.

It’s no surprise at all that they have a 5 star perfect rating. Daniel and Josue were huge helps. They were super fast, really nice, and took great care with our boxes. They were both an amazing example of professionalism and going above and beyond!

From start to finish, everyone at Otter was quick to respond, very friendly and very helpful. We had to book kind of last minute which was stressful, but their fast responses were a huge weight off our shoulders. Could not recommend them enough.

I moved two months ago from a studio apartment into a one-bedroom, and this was hands down the best moving experience I’ve ever had. I called very last minute after realizing that trying to do everything myself wasn’t realistic, and I’m so glad I did.

Tom, the gentleman I spoke with, was absolutely wonderful—kind, understanding, and extremely thorough. He checked in with me both before and after the move, which I truly appreciated. The movers themselves were incredibly quick, efficient, and professional.

I had a great experience with Otter Moving company. The move was for the most part smooth. I had a number of fragile items. They carefully packed the delicate items and moved it to the new location without an issue. The movers were polite and accommodating.

My movers from Truck 14 at Otter Movers were absolutely excellent! They were super friendly, and what impressed me even more was how incredibly fast they were. I honestly thought it would take hours to disassemble all of my furniture, but they had everything done in just 40 minutes.

All of my belongings were returned in perfect condition, and the team was so helpful—they truly didn’t let me lift a finger. I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I 10,000% recommend Otter Moving Company to anyone looking for efficient, professional, and friendly movers!

The two movers that helped my boyfriend and I move out of our New York City apartment were outstanding. Both Terry and the other gentleman (unfortunately I forgot his name) were efficient, thorough, and overall very pleasant people. We would absolutely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone we know!

Chris and Justin were extremely helpful with my mother’s move. I’ve never worked with the people that are so methodical and organized. I’m really grateful that we had them. Very easy to communicate and plan with and very detail oriented, nothing was damaged and really felt like they handled everything with Care.

Professional, efficient, affordable, and extremely kind staff helped me in my last move. Several employees worked nonstop nearly for 3 hours and did a 1 bed 1 bath job in what another company took 6 hours to do in the past. Seriously Otter is great. I used Otter Moving in late December of this year (2025) for a bit of a last-minute move. I called on a Sunday and they were able to move my stuff that Friday -- during the week of Christmas. The moving consultant, Luke, was extra communicative and followed up through every step of the process: getting the initial quote; updating that quote; discussing competitors' pricing; ensuring that certificates of insurance were completed and on file with the management companies of both buildings; and confirming final plan for the day-of move.

The movers were fast and communicative as well. The job took many hours, but the movers worked nonstop. All of my items arrived to my new place undamaged. The movers set up the beds and placed the large pieces of furniture where I directed.

This was my first time making a big move in NYC from elevator building to elevator building. I read so many reviews before going with Otter Moving and believe this was the right choice and both fairly and competitively priced for the job.

Really could not be more satisfied with the move from start to finish. The quote will make you think it’s a scam but these guys really do just have the best price around, and they do an amazing job. They’re nice and efficient as hell. 10/10 recommendation!

I can’t stress enough how calm and clean the whole moving experience with otter was. We asked for moving and packing services. The day before the move, otter called us to confirm the inventory and price again, to make sure everything is clear. The movers arrived to our place (which was a mess) exactly when expected, and packed everything so fast and organised, all the boxes had labels detailing what’s inside, and with a smiley :)
The whole move was about 3 hours. So efficient and pleasant. We will only move with otter in the city, the best of the best and the price is unmatched.

I cannot thank this team enough! The thought of getting our two bedroom apartment ready for our big move seemed so daunting until Otter moving & storage came along. I am truly grateful for their patience and kindness during this move. I would recommend over & over again.!

Blazo and his team from truck #30 were the best. They wrapped everything carefully and worked hard throughout the day to get us moved. Showed up 10 minutes from the earliest time which our previous two moves with the company showed up after the latest time slot. It was refreshing to have a team that was punctual and who were helpful with no complaints. My girlfriend and I were hesitant to use the company, but this team were nice, efficient, and great overall. Ask for this truck if you want a team that is punctual and does not complain.

I’ve used otter movers 3 times and this was the best move ever. Blazo and his team, truck #30 were super helpful and efficient. They arrived early and asked for what needed to be moved and be careful of. They arranged and packed everything to ensure the smooth move. They spent the whole day making sure the items arrived in my new place and followed all management rules. They kept us updated on all items and made sure everything was moved. They were also very fun to work with and not stressful at all. Highly recommend them and I would request for them if I move again!

Brandon truck 23 was unbelievable he got here on time was very helpful. Make sure all my fragile items were wrapped and taken care of everything got to it’s destination in the same condition it left. It was a great experience. I will recommend Brandon and his crew to anyone.

Incredible. I am so glad I trusted in Otter for my move. I was so nervous as these are my things from my whole life moving from one city to another and they handled it with grace and great energy the whole time. I have nothing but great things to say about this company and how they handled a very long day. They arrived at 7:10AM and helped with wrapping big items like big mirrors and TV's. They have boxes if you need to wrap last minute things as well. My advice would be to make sure your list for what items you are packing are as close to what is going on that track so you don't charged for extra items.

First time hiring movers and glad we chose Otter! Ross provided an initial quote, updated it as our inventory changed, and confirmed all logistics ahead of the move. The crew on moving day was very prepared, quick, and careful with our stuff.

Our move with Otter was seamless and very efficient. The communication from the company was great and our movers showed up exactly on time. They brought all the necessary equipment needed for packing items such as our TV, chairs, etc. it took them less than 3 hours to move a 2B apartment. Gregory was great on the day of the move!!

It was a blast working with Lucky and his Team to move to my new home. They were very professional and they moved all my items very quickly and efficiently. I recently moved to a new apartment and ended up choosing Otter as my movers. I would highly recommend Otter! I requested quotes from 6-7 moving companies including Otter, Perfect Moving, Piece of Cake, Man with a Van, and a few others. Otter provided the best price for my move which is the main reason I decided to go with them in addition to their excellent reviews. The price quote Otter provided was very straightforward with no hidden fees. It's based on distance and the volume of your move; there are no hourly fees. I put down a $50 deposit to secure my moving date and time, and they contacted me by phone and email the day before to complete the rest of the payment as well as confirm all details of the move. Communication with Otter was extremely easy and smooth; they are very responsive and informative if you have any questions leading up to the day of the move.

On the morning of my move, my movers (Izzy and his team) texted me 30 minutes before they arrived to let me know their ETA. They were very punctual and arrived when they said they would. I was very happy with Izzy and his team; they were friendly, efficient, and made the move very easy for me. It was a rainy day and they made sure to put down a cloth in the doorway to keep the floors dry which I appreciate. My mattress, desk, and desk chair were carefully wrapped before they moved it out. They also disassembled my bed frame and re-assembled it in the new place.

Overall, I would highly recommend Otter for your move! They are excellent!

Worst customer service experience I have ever had! Only 1 person showed up to the job and I was promised 3 separate times a replacement was coming. The job ended up taking 7 hours and I HAD TO HELP for a service I paid for. Do not book Otter, go elsewhere!

The team was organized, efficient, and clearly knew what they were doing. They handled everything carefully, communicated well, and never rushed in a sloppy way. The move from Staten Island to Brooklyn went smoothly, and everything arrived exactly as it left — no damage, no issues, no surprises.

Pricing was fair and transparent, which I really appreciated, and the work ethic across the board was solid. It felt like a crew that actually takes pride in their work, which is rare.

Me and my partner tried moving ourselves and by the 2nd day we just couldn’t do it. In a panic I reached out to Otter for same day moving help and they really pulled through. In 2 hours they moved what was left in our old apartment into our new one. The guys were quick and professional, I would recommend their service!

I’ve moved with Otter twice now and both times were above-and-beyond impressive. The first was a 2BR move from BK to Queens and the second was moving some larger items for my mom. Each crew was incredibly careful and efficient and the communication throughout was top notch. It also felt like a really good value in terms of the time and care we received. I hope to never move again (or at least not for several years!) but if I do, I will certainly be calling Otter.

We had a move with a lot logistical changes snd of packing that needed to be done the day of. Otter Moving & Storage executed everything perfectly. Our coordinator, Nash, was excellent and truly the reason we chose Otter. He was responsive, organized, and made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. The moving team was efficient and professional, even with tight timing. Hopefully we don’t have to move again anytime soon, but if we do, we will absolutely use Otter again. I used Otter to move my mom from Queens to Jersey city! What a great experience! They were so fast and efficient! They communicated well from the time of booking all the way up until the end. Brandon and his crew on Truck 23 were great. It was snowy all day, but they were fast and friendly with the pickup and the dropoff. After the move, they found an extra box of mine that was left behind and made the trip to make sure it was properly sent. Overall a great service! This was my first time using a moving service and it was by far the easiest move I've had. The movers were very quick and efficient, and all of my things arrived safely. Mike was very friendly and very up front about pricing/cost, which was very appreciated, and also cheaper than other quotes I got from other companies. I'm hoping I don't have to move any time soon but if I do I'm definitely using Otter again!
