It had been 5 years since my last move and the previous movers that I used left quite a lot to be desired, so I was particularly picky when it came to selecting movers this time around. I must’ve spoken to over 15 different moving companies, but Otter stood out. Peter was extremely communicative, understanding, and reassuring given the strict timing and COI requirements for the condo buildings that I was moving to/from. I never had an issue getting in touch and always had all of my questions answered in detail. I had to add a few items to my move inventory at the last minute and the updated quote was still beyond reasonable. When it came to the move itself, the four movers with their truck arrived right on time, and the entire move was completed within 4 hours without issue. Note that Otter provides flat rate quotes and honestly had the most competitive rates out there - they could not be beat. All this to say that I would highly recommend Otter Moving - they helped make an otherwise incredibly stressful and daunting move remarkably smooth!

Agris and Jose did an amazing job in moving me from my apartment( which was in a building on the 4th floor with no elevator) to a house , I also had heavy items but they never complained nor did they refused . they were on time, polite, understanding, and they understood the assignment , they left my old address ahead of me and when I arrived everything was placed exactly where I wanted it, they unboxed and cleaned up so fast it’s unbelievable . I rated this move 100/10 .. otter moving is the BEST COMPANY.if you’re looking for professionalism, quality and driven then otter moving and store is the only way to go …..

I usually ignore writing reviews, but the service and price I got from Otter Moving was incredibly well from the first call with Hans who set up everything, to the picking up my stuff in NYC by Nikolai.

First, I called Peace of Cake company as I see their trucks everywhere. But their quote was higher. Actually, because of their high price, I was giving up hiring a moving company and was thinking of renting a cargo van. But I had a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed and mattress that were very heavy and complicated to disassemble, so I didn’t know what to do. Then, my neighbour in the same building moved out a day ago and I saw Otter name on the truck. My neighbour was smart! When I called Otter and sent pictures of items, Hans quoted me almost the half price of what I got from Peace of Cake. The price was so good that it was almost equivalent if I hired cargo van and helpers to carry my stuff on and off the truck, driving from Astoria NY to Houston TX for 24 hours, gas, insurance, etc.

The day of the moving, Peter’s team with Nikolai came early in the morning. They were so fast wrapping, boxing, and disassembling that a one bedroom apartment was completely done within 1 hour!! Three guys of Peter’s team came on Saturday at 8:30am in the morning and left at 9:35am. Unbelievable! It was so fast and efficient that most of my neighbours were still sleeping, so didn’t have a problem waiting for the elevator.

In the future, when I need to move (and I will move) I know who to call. Many thanks to Hans and Peter’s team, including Nikolai!!

Our entire experience was seamless! I was so stressed about our move and as soon as I hopped on the call with Otter moving my worries were appeased. They walked me through the whole process and got me scheduled in no time with a very fair quote. On moving day, our team came in extremely prepared and were so efficient while still taking care with all our belongings. They truly made our experience stress-free! Highly recommend!

We chose this company bc they had all 5 star reviews. We were told we would receive 3 movers and all we needed was to move from the third floor to the fourth floor. Long story short - they sent only two movers but we paid the same price, regardless. What really gets me though is they absolutely scratched the hell out of all of our bedroom furniture. Not a couple of scratches but many gashes more than I can count. It's not like we asked them to move our furniture down three flights of stairs, put it in a truck and then move it up several flights of stairs to the second apartment. They literally were moving this furniture one floor. They gave us a small discount that wouldn't even be enough to purchase our nightstand. It really pisses me off to read all these reviews how they wrapped the furniture. MUST BE NICE TO HAVE RECEIVED THAT SERVICE. Disgusted by this company and would never use them again.

I’m missing an entire box that had valuable items.

I had Truck 19 Argus and jose move my things which was really fast. They came very early but it worked out.

They packed my items into storage and also moved the items from storage to my new apartment.

I had a box of valuable electronics which were lost but they quickly located the box and showed what caused the misplacement on their end. I ended up receiving my items the next day and appreciate the quick response

We had a great experience with Otter. From the beginning working with Nikola on organizing, to the day of the move, it was seamless. The moving crew Joaquin, Federico, and Diego were incredible to work with— so professional, fast, and careful with everything. They treated our belongings as if they were their own and still managed to get everything done so quickly. On top of that, they were genuinely kind and easy to be around, which made what could have been a stressful day feel so much lighter. We recommend Otter highly.

We had such an incredible experience with Otter Moving! Ricky and Nemesio were our movers, and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They arrived right on time, were professional, kind, and worked with such efficiency while still being extremely careful with all of our belongings. They even disassembled and reassembled our couch seamlessly, which was such a huge help. This must have been one of the easiest moves I've ever had. Great costumer service from start to finish. John, who helped me coordinate my move followed up with me the day before my move, which alleviated my stress. The movers showed up right on time and loaded my studio apartment into the moving truck within 30-40 minutes. They were professional, efficient, handled my belongings with care, and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Otter and I will certainly use them again for my next move.

Had a great experience with Otter Moving. We used them for storage and delivery, and for a big full-day move. Hans was great helping me set up the moves. Both moving teams we worked with were exceptional. They were very concerned to place things the way we wanted them, and handled our fragile items and artwork really well. I would absolutely recommend them and would use them again. We've moved a lot and this was absolutely the most pleasant experience we've had.

I had an excellent experience with Otter’s moving & storage services. John was helpful and efficient with giving me a quote and setting up the move. I had to change my moving date after booking due to an unforeseen circumstance and they were extremely accommodating. On the day of the move, two movers came for my 1 bedroom apartment and took great care in wrapping my furniture and belongings. I’m utilizing their long term storage services. I chose Otter due to their affordable pricing of both the move and storage and their excellent reviews. Everyone I came in contact with from the company was very pleasant and helpful, which was a plus.

The best moving experience! This was our first time moving across states from Brooklyn, NY to Charlotte, NC and Otter Moving & Storage not only had the best price point, but also incredible service. Our movers, Z & MJ from Truck #12, were fast, efficient, careful and completed the move seamlessly. They picked up all of our items Saturday morning (August 23) and we had everything in Charlotte unloaded in our new home by 10:30 AM Monday morning (August 25). They even took extra items at no additional charge and they handled our belongings with care / were great listeners as well. I highly recommend this moving company - from the initial conversation with Mark and securing the reasonable estimate, to the quick move, everything went smoothly and stress-free. We will definitely use them again in the future if they expand and have trucks in NC as well :)

We were absolutely thrilled with the service provided. From start to finish, they made the moving process seamless and stress-free. Their professionalism was evident as they arrived on time, ready to tackle the job with a positive attitude.

MJ and Z worked efficiently, handling our belongings with great care. They ensured everything was packed securely and in an organized fashion. Everything was transported from NYC to Maryland safely. Even with some last minute requests, they were very accommodating.

Communication was excellent throughout the entire move as we had direct access to them via phone and we spoke throughout the trip down. It's rare to find a team as cohesive and as professional as what we were able to have in MJ and Z. We highly recommend this moving company for your moving needs, be it short or long distance.

I’ve been averse to using moving companies all my life. But now I have gray hairs and back pain. You know how it goes. The guys at Otter are so good at what they do — so fast, so organized, so kind and patient and adaptable — that it legitimately made me question why I haven’t hired movers ever before. I was also under the impression movers were exorbitantly expensive, and while I can’t ascribe the meaning of a dollar to you, I will say that I found their rates astonishingly fair. If I ever need to move in NYC again (and until these damn rents are frozen, that’s an inevitability), I’ll be using Otter.

Tried these guys out after using a different company about a year ago, and I have to say—I was really impressed. The crew was extremely polite and awesome to work with. The back office could be a little quicker with response times (emails and phone), but when it came to the move, Oggie and his team were incredible. Their pricing was also much cheaper than the five other companies I priced out. I also appreciated that the movers didn’t guilt trip you into over-tipping them. Overall, a great experience—I’d definitely use them again.

Just wasn’t my lucky day with the movers. I originally had a 6 person glass dining table but changed to a small 3 person table. They refused to bring 3 extra medium sized boxes and wanted to charge me for that. Seems like if I originally wanted to bring my 6 person glass table it wouldn’t have even fit. But my friends on the other hand used your services and they were able to bring extra furniture and boxes and they underestimated their pack and WASNT even charged. Seems kind of unfair.

They were fast and efficient though, I’ll give them that.
