I had a great experience with this moving company. From the very beginning, Dominick was incredibly helpful during the quote and planning process. He was responsive, organized, and made everything feel easy and well-coordinated.

On moving day, Daniel and Josue were amazing. They handled all my belongings with care, worked efficiently, and made the whole move to my new place smooth and stress-free. They were also very friendly and professional throughout the entire process.

This was my first time using Otter Moving & Storage, and we had a great experience. Team #30 was prompt, professional, and very kind throughout the entire move. They were able to get us out of our old building and into the new one quickly and efficiently. They also broke down large items and reassembled everything once we arrived.

Special shoutout to Adam, who coordinated the move, and Blazo from Team #30. Everyone made the process smooth and stress-free. I would definitely recommend them.

Living in NYC, you get used to moving around pretty often. While I’ve used other popular moving companies in the past, I decided to try out Otter for my move this time around. I called around to the other popular moving companies and Otter gave me the best quote alongside a promo code :O. Hans at Otter Moving was always available and made it easy to not only plan for the move, but also make any and all adjustments, even on the day of the move.

Brandon & Alex (truck 23) were our actual movers and they’re just professional rockstars. So efficient and so flexible, and (I felt) they were pretty efficient with it all.

I've heard so many nightmare stories about movers, and I was nervous to say the least....

Well, OMS was exceptional! From my first (of many) calls to Ross, including rescheduling and estimation of items, to follow-up and more. On the day of the move Bernardo arrived, right on time, with his team Jorge, Teo and Andres. A few minutes to show them around and they got busy in a hurry. At every moment they were polite, professional and considerate of everything.

At the end of the (long) day, they were still polite, professional and considerate.

Bravo to OMS, you made a very stressful experience almost enjoyable lol.

Otter Movers did a fantastic job. Max made the entire process incredibly simple, even though I contacted him with almost no notice on the same day. He handled everything quickly and efficiently, which made the experience completely stress-free.

Everyone I've spoken to here has been super nice and reasonable. I worked with them for a recent move and undershot my original quote by a lot. My cost increased quite a bit as a result, but their claims team was willing to work with me to resolve a few discrepancies and provide a refund.

My biggest piece of advice for anyone working with a company like this is to be painstakingly accurate with your inventory to protect yourself from day-of cost increases.

Best moving service I’ve ever used! Genuinely nice guys who really took care of everything, nothing broken and all furniture free from any scuffs/dings. The price was shockingly low compared to others in the area but I couldn’t have been more impressed with the service!

Truck number 1, Mika, Ogi and Zlatko — efficient, attentive, and quick. They moved a large 1 bedroom in less than 2 hours. Tons of furniture and lots of boxes, half the cost I was expecting and the cheapest I could find (was looking for movers with less than a weeks notice). All in all a great quick easy moving experience!

I think that everyone is always a little nervous about a move as there are always horror stories, but Otter Moving communicated with me appropriately, showed up on time and did exactly what they said they would and for the fair price that was agreed to.

There were no surprise charges. No bait and switch tactics. Just make sure you tell them exactly what you need to be moved and that the inventory matches up with the written estimate. This goes for any move with any company.

There’s not much more you can ask for from a moving company.

Otter moving is the BEST moving company I’ve used. I’ve booked them now twice for my NYC moves and will continue to use them in the future. Their movers are so polite, and efficient. I don’t have enough good things to say about the company. Highly recommended.

Best moving company I have come across (the third one I've tried) in NYC. Quote was much cheaper than other companies. Temo and his team did a great job with the move. Novak did a great job on the logistics/quote.

I left about a ~35% tip because 1) I had some extra items, 2) there was an unforeseen set of stairs, and 3) the movers didn't bother me the entire time (and didn't whine about how they expected a big tip because of how hard the move was, etc.).

I think about a 20-30% tip is sensible in NYC.

I recently moved from LIC to Astoria and Team 30 assisted my move. They were an incredible team. Extremely polite and efficient. They moved all my stuff so fast, they came into my apartment and within an hour and half it was empty. They also did a great job at transporting my plants! They were priced so well compared to other estimates I received from other competitors in NYC that were several hundred dollars more. I was so happy with their pricing! They took great care of my furniture, everything was wrapped super well, ultimately I’m so happy I went with Otter! I would highly recommend!

I was recommended by my colleague and used the service for moving to hershey from nyc.I spoke with Hans who organised everything . I sent them the pictures of all the items and recieved a very reasonable quote. I had called few other movers as well ,the quote i got was considerably higher. On the day of the move they arrived on time . The guys were very friendly, careful in packing and very efficient in time management. This was unlike the previous movers who were inexperienced and wasting the time just to make some extra money. I requested a.over.night move , all the items were delivered on time , undamaged . They asked for each item where to be.placed. and finished the job on time. I hired this company for a move within Brooklyn. Truck 14 (Milos team) was assigned to my move. They were very professional, fast, and efficient. They were able to figure out paking on a busy street and took great care of all my belongings. I am very grateful for their help making my move very smooth.

First time using a moving company and they made it a breeze. Hans was a great agent at explaining logistics and taking my calls when I needed to add inventory to the list. They were quick to reschedule my move due to the blizzard that came through and we’re efficiently able to move me out of my current place and into my new one within a few hours. The best moving service i’ve ever used. I booked last minute because the original company I had booked cancelled on me 4 days prior to my move with no notice or reason. Otter Moving and Storage was not only able to get my move scheduled on the day and time that I preferred, but also able to offer me a great rate, even though it was a last minute booking. Customer service was amazing and they were so helpful through the whole process. The movers showed up on time and worked at a fast pace while ensuring all of my belongings were protected. I was truly shocked at how quick they were, even in the heat we’re experiencing. I’m glad I found an amazing company that I can trust with my future moves. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

I needed a moving company and reached out for a quote and got a call back within a few minutes, and was able to finalize by end of call! The representatives were super helpful and the price were very affordable for such a big move.
The two movers I got were literally early and extremely careful with my boxes. I had heavy stuff and they didnt have one damaged box or furniture.

I have had so many bad experience with movers in the past. I hate to say it, but the industry seems to slant towards unethical behavior and in professionalism.

But Otter Moving is the complete opposite. They are very professional, fairly priced, the movers themselves are friendly, helpful, and efficient, and the office staff is great to work with. Highly recommend this company for your move!

These guys were absolutely top-notch. I emailed about a quote, was given an itemized form, they called to confirm items, and I got a quote within the hour.

They followed up a few days before the move to confirm everything and included the quote which I could update with my new inventory to make sure it was still in line with the original quote.

The night before, the move team texted and were able to arrive even earlier than I had hoped. The team of three showed up at 7am, had everything (and we had a lot of stuff!) loaded up by 10am. They provided blankets to wrap furniture, extra boxes for oddly shaped items, and were super communicative during the process. We had extra items, so they communicated the extra fees and had the main office contact me to confirm the pricing (totally fair pricing because we did have a lot of items) before charging the extra amount.

Then they arrived at our new place minutes after us, parked the van on a very difficult street and managed to get all of our items up three flights of stairs, bed set up, and extra items in the storage in the basement all in about 2-3 hours.

They were great! Nice guys, no isssues!

I don’t usually leave reviews, especially for moving companies, but Zach Jurisevic absolutely earned this one. I called already planning to go with another company, but Zach’s professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine customer service completely changed my mind. He gave me real peace of mind during a stressful process and offered a great price without any pressure. Because of him, I switched to Otter and I’m very glad I did. Highly recommend asking for Zach.

Truck 14 these guys rock!!! So friendly, incredibly helpful, everything is always answered with “no problem, don’t worry”. Efficient, fast, patient, would recommend to everyone! We accidentally surprised them with multiple add ons (junk removal, picking up furniture, stairs, etc) and they were very flexible and accommodating. Will use for every move we do!
