Otter was fantastic from start to finish. Their prices cannot be beat, especially when considering how high quality the service is. On the day of my move, the team arrived right on time and finished way sooner than expected. They were polite and communicative the entire time. It could not have gone better. Highly recommend!!!

Geroge and Ken were my movers and they are ANGELS.

We ran into issues with building management while trying to move and they were extremely patient, kind, and understanding while we figured everything out.

They even moved an extra item for us out of kindness.

Could not recommend these two enough, they were extremely professional and knew all the technicalities of moving (wrapping stuff well with padding, putting padding in the elevator, disassembling furniture we didn't know how to, and maneuvering very bulky items up a narrow stairwell up 3 flights of stairs - genuinely cannot believe how they got this furniture up here still.)

Could not be more thankful for these guys, if you go with Otter Moving (which you absolutely should) you should for sure request these two gents. Turned an incredibly stressful move into an incredibly smooth experience.

Otter Moving company was a great experience. I was able to book over the phone and the price was cheaper than other companies I contacted but they did not skimp on service. Peter and Sebastian were my movers and they were on time , quick, careful and accommodating during my move. I would recommend this company if you are moving in NYC.

Because of a complex family situation, I needed help with moving some things in New York City Area (from Brooklyn to Astoria) and I had to do this from another country! I learned from a friend about Otter moving company and they turned out to be invaluable! Everything was arranged and completed and it took less time than I expected. Shout out to Miles and his team. They really went above and beyond to ensure my move within NJ was as smooth as possible. Communication was excellent from start to finish. They are really intentional about this company, and it shows in their interactions with customers and their overall work ethic. 10/10 would recommend and definitely would use them again and again.

The process was super simple and quick. The guys from Truck #19 were absolutely amazing! From start to finish, they were extremely efficient and had all of our stuff wrapped and ready to go in a blink of an eye! We will definitely keep them in mind for any future moves, as well as recommending to our friends!

Nemanja and my whole experience with Otter movers was excellent. I contacted multiple places and they gave the best price. The team was in and out of my first place in less than 30 minutes and drop off took 15. Couldn’t have been smoother or friendlier!

I just used Otter to move on the UWS for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The customer service over the phone communicated cost and expectations and followed up a few days earlier to confirm. Balsa, and Dimitritge arrived at my home on time, were extremely professional, worked quickly and I was fully moved into my new place in a few hours. Would highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience with Otter! From Peter's kind and quick correspondence, to the two movers who did an EXCEPTIONAL job, I am so grateful for them. Truly outstanding at what they do! Everything was priced more than fairly and worth every penny. Taking apart and putting back together my bed frame was a huge help, and they handled all my things with care up to the third floor! Otter was amazing. They arrived 5 minutes before the moving window prepared to get right to it. They were able to empty my apartment in less than an hour. It was impressive. Safely wrapping furniture and moving expeditiously. Can’t thank them enough for making my move stress free

I had a very disappointing experience with Otter Moving and would recommend proceeding with caution.

To be fair, the foreman of the two-man crew was generally professional and easy to deal with, and everyone I interacted with in the office was genuinely nice and responsive. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the second mover and several overall issues during the move.

From the moment they arrived, the second mover immediately demanded a tip before any work had even started and kept pressuring me throughout the move, saying tipping was not included and that I “needed to take care of them.” The approach was aggressive and uncomfortable.

When it came to a few additional items beyond the initial quote, I had no issue paying for them through the company. However, the mover became visibly upset and tried to get me to pay him cash directly instead of going through the office. I refused and asked him to call the office and update the bill to charge my card. He responded by raising his voice, saying they wouldn’t move anything unless I paid cash on the spot, and temporarily refusing to do the job.

He also refused to move items that were clearly included in the original quote, repeatedly claiming they weren’t covered even when I showed him the written estimate. This led to multiple outbursts before he finally relented and did what was already agreed to.

There were also some basic professionalism issues. At one point, the foreman asked to use my bathroom, which I said was completely fine. Afterward, since my soap was packed, I offered hand sanitizer. He laughed, said he didn’t need it, and then continued handling all of my belongings.

After unpacking, I discovered that my TV had been severely damaged during the move. The screen panel had separated from the frame and the TV is now unusable. When it was being unloaded, one mover started to point out an issue, but the other cut him off and pushed me to sign off indicating no damage before I had a chance to properly inspect it.

When I raised the damage, I was told the TV was “dusty,” implying that was the reason it no longer worked. Apparently, a dusty back of a TV is supposed to cause the panel to separate, which is obviously not credible.

I also later heard that the company was told I was upset about additional charges, which is not true. I had no issue paying for legitimate add-ons through proper channels. The issue was the behavior, the attempted side payment, and the handling of my belongings.

Overall, while the office staff and foreman were pleasant, the conduct during the move and the damage to my property made this a stressful and frustrating experience. I would not feel comfortable recommending this company, especially for anyone moving alone.

Proceed with caution.

AMAZING service! Truly better than Piece of Cake by far. Vladimir and Kamilo (Truck #4) were outstanding from start to finish—extremely kind, professional, and incredibly efficient. They handled everything with care, worked quickly without cutting corners, and made what could have been a stressful move feel smooth and easy.

They were also very respectful, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Their positive attitude and teamwork really stood out. I called Otter Movers to get a price quote to move my daughter from Brooklyn to the Bronx . Alex took all my information and sent me inventory list to cover what was needed to be moved. He was so kind and professional on the phone, was able to provide me a very reasonable quote. He was never a nuisance in fact he followed up to make sure everything was good. When I tell you he helped through every aspect that was needed to make this a stress free move. Everyone that I had contact with was professional, kind, and all around had a fabulous experience. Very fair pricing, and outstanding service. Thank you all for making this experience stress free.

Had to move very last minute. I called with a one day notice and Otter was not only accommodating but flexible and still at a really good price. The day of move not only were they still understanding but also made the move super smooth. The moving guys were the best and beyond helpful and patient. I highly recommend this company and will be doing my storage move with them.

Mika, Ogi, Balsa did an amazing job!! We didn’t have to lift a finger. And they were super careful with our brand new floors too. None of our belongings were broken. I would hire them again for any future move and would recommend them for all friends and family!

Otter moving is amazing. I did a lot of research and got multiple quotes before booking by with Felix and his team. At first when I saw so many 5 star reviews I was skeptical, even went down a reddit thread which only confirmed that they really deserve all of the stars. I would give more stars if I could. Not only did they offer me a ridiculously affordable price on my move (even after making some adjustments to inventory and planning, I paid several hundred dollars less than 5 other companies quoted me), but the team was so quick and efficient and pleasant to work with day of. They handled everything with great care and communication and I’ve never seen movers work so efficiently before. I did pay the remaining balance (post $50 deposit) the day before which at first made me nervous but they did a fantastic job. Felix made sure all of my calls ahead of time were handled with care and I had everything I needed and the team that moved me from A to B was phenomenal. If you’re reading this review I promise you they are who you want to book with. If you are skeptical like me and thought “this has to be too good to be true” I promise that they’ll treat you the same way they treated me- book with Otter!

Nik and partner did a really incredible job moving all of my stuff. They were very timely (their arrival window was between 11-2 and they got there at 11), they treated my items with a lot of care, and they worked so fast!! Everything was done before 2. Couldn’t be more thankful for their work, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to move in NYC.

I’ve used them twice in 5 years. I cannot vaguely explain the relief that accompanies using these lads. I didn’t know that they had scaled to cross country. So many companies were trying to scam me - it was CRAZY. I rang otter hoping they could help. They are the most reliable, economical, showed up on time, no extra charges. Otter Moving & Storage was great - they are meticulous through the initial planning stage but gave a good deal and was willing to come out to New Jersey to do the move. The movers themselves were efficient, courteous, and offered to help move things that they weren't required to do. They even made a double trip so that none of my belongings were damaged in the move and set up our living room, carpets, bedrooms the way we wanted them. Would absolutely recommend again.

My movers were Team 30, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

They were exceptional all around. They showed up on time, were efficient, and zero issues start to finish. On top of that, they communicated clearly, stayed flexible (which was important because nothing went right on my move day besides Otter/Team 30), and made the entire process as smooth as possible.

I was honestly really nervous as a first-time mover, but Otter Storage made the whole experience so much smoother than I expected!! David's 2 man team helped me move from my 6th floor walk up to my new 4th floor walk up apartment within NYC. They were champs about the stairs and all my belongings made the trip with no issues. They were able to get everything done in under 3 hours. They were super polite and friendly as well. Leading up to the move there was strong but not excessive communication from the team; I adjusted my inventory multiple times before the move date and they were very responsive!
