My experience with Otter was nothing short of fantastic. From initial outreach, Nikola from the booking team was wonderful. Extremely responsive, confirmed all the services I needed, and booked the moved quickly and easily. Moving day was equally as fantastic. My mover Peter reached out to confirm timing a day in advance, and he and his team were thorough, quick, very careful with all items, and very nice! They made the moving experience completely stress free and went above and beyond to ensure it was a seamless experience from start to finish. I would absolutely refer Otter to anyone in need of moving services, and should we ever need moving or storage assistance in the future? Won’t hesitate to call Otter for the job!

Absolutely amazing experience! Had seen other reviews saying it was a super easy and smooth process with Otter, but did not expect how easy it was going to be. Worked with Paul in the office and fully got my move set up in less than an hour - he was super responsive and very kind. Brandon and the guys in Truck 23 were efficient, kind, and handled everything with care - they had my entire local move done start to finish in 3 hours. Overall 12/10 for all of them! Will definitely be using again

Had such a great experience with Otter! They arrived right in the middle of the arrival range and were super quick & efficient. I'm not the best packer and also ended up with a few more bags than I estimated to them, but they were super understanding, didn't charge extra, and got all of my stuff safely to my new place. One of the guys even brainstormed with me where to set up my bed in the new apartment, and put together the bed frame perfectly. Not to mention they charged half what the other places I called quoted... definitely recommend!

Crew Joe (Truck 2) was phenomenal. This 3-member team worked like ninjas. We were just amazed the whole time they moved out of our old place and into our new one. They were even faced with obstacles after the recent storm in NY; one that required them to shovel hardened snow/ice before moving and they did it all in record time.

We highly recommend Otter to anyone moving. The people, price and process are excellent.

The crew members that I had for my move with Otter were Alex and Rodney and I couldn’t be happier with how smoothly the move went from start to finish. Not a single broken item which was a relief because this was my first time using movers (I’ve always done it myself with some friends). I did research on pretty much all the common moving companies and got quotes. Otter was the most reasonably priced (but other companies weren’t thatvmuch more expensive) but when reaching out for quotes, they communicated the clearest. They also didn’t harass me with multiple calls, texts and emails a day to see if I'm going with them. Just basic communication which was nice to see. On the day of I did have to reach out to the guys a couple of times for an eta because they got there later than expected but I did have an early morning move scheduled and traffic was extremely heavy so not their fault whatsoever. I had a direct number to one of the movers and he was very responsive. It is a stressful decision to pick which moving company to trust your stuff with but I had a great experience and will be using them again.

Had a great experience both before and during our move. They are thorough and really communicative prior to the move, via email and text. During the move, we had 3 movers who were efficient, right on schedule (even early!), were incredibly respectful of our stuff, furniture, and our spaces, and put all the furniture back together correctly. Not a scratch, great movers who really made the day go super smoothly. Highly recommend!

Today we moved some stuff for our friend. He’s from Queens, NY and moving to Bayonne, NJ. He had six boxes and three tv. We were assisted by David from Otter and his team was amazing. They were very swift and well coordinated. He first asked us to walk them through the walkways and then got the rest of the process. We began around 2:45PM today and completed the move around 5PM. Well coordinated and friendly. We had no complaints so we tipped them nicely for the service. Hope they will have more people like David who ensures that everything gets done efficiently. Thank you to Otter and team!

So just so all understand I have moved out of the BRONX more than 40 years ago, so all my connections and everything I know were gone. Now I had to rely on a search for movers from the BRONX to move furniture for me because I no longer live in the Bronx, . I live way out in New Jersey.. so I started researching I came up with three companies and called each one prices were fair, but still kept going back-and-forth and this company the outer moving company was the one that I chose because of all the review . I spoke to a nice man named STAN told him what I have three stops. He took all the notes down, came up with a price. Which was acceptable and agree. When he called me back the second time about four days before the move, he gave me another discount. I put down the deposit and like I said, the price was lower . The day before the move, he called me again, went over everything made sure tell me what time that they’ll be there and the next day the movers came . These two young men friendly and they worked in unison. They went over each time they went up and down. They arrived @ each destination in a timely manner. 3 stops. 1st Bronx, Ft, Dixs. South Jersey. Otter is hands-down one of the best moving companies out there. We moved within NYC and they were unbelievably easy to work with from start to finish. They were kind, flexible, and super understanding when we needed to add or remove items from our moving list, which honestly made the whole experience so much less stressful.

Bojan, Juan, and Hector (Truck 8) were absolutely incredible and made our move seamless from start to finish. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were extremely careful with all of our belongings while loading and unloading the truck. Moving is always highly stressful, but I am so glad I chose Otter for my move. This was my first time using Otter and I had a great experience with the team of Truck 30. We had a fantastic experience with Otter Moving! We needed a heavy armoire moved from White Plains to New Rochelle, which was complicated by the fact that both buildings required specific Certificates of Insurance (COIs). Unlike other companies, Otter Moving’s internal team handled the paperwork seamlessly and provided exactly what was needed. They scheduled us quickly, and less than 22 hours later, our furniture arrived in perfect condition and professionally blanket-wrapped. Highly recommend them for their efficiency and attention to detail!

I want to especially thank Miroslav and Vasilije. These two went above and beyond. They treated my belongings as if they were their own — careful, patient, and extremely professional. Nothing was rushed, nothing was thrown around, and every item was properly protected. Their attitude alone made a huge difference and showed that they genuinely care about the quality of their work.

Based on my personal experience, I would 100% recommend Otter Moving and Storage over companies like Piece of Cake or Roadway Moving. This is my second time using Otter moving company within a year and again the did not disappoint. If you are looking for a company to move you do not look any further. These guys are awesome with packing and moving you with respect and honor. The pride they take in helping you with your move is unmatched. I have used moving companies before and know the difference in what to look for. If I could give these guys $500 plus for per person I would have they deserve it. The awesome and worry free service that they do is unbeatable. If you like me and read reviews try Otter and you too will will use their service and recommend them to family and friends.

HIRE THEM. I have dealt with a lot of moving companies in 20 years of NYC living and will now be moving all my business to Otter Moving & Storage. The quote was the most reasonable I received and it was received within an hour of my inquiry, I was assigned a personal move manager (Nihad) to walk me through the quote / booking / COI process. They accommodated a same week move and followed up using my preferred method of communication to ensure all information needed for a smooth operation was received. On the day of the move I received a voice call directly from my movers, letting me know that they were running early, and were understanding when I wasn't quite ready. Pablo & Jesus were fantastic - communicative, flexible, funny, and professional. They were parked legally and took their time to assess the furniture protection needs prior to starting the move. They treated my high worth antique furniture with extra care - wrapping each glass shelf individually and blanketing every item. They were communicative along the way and gracious when there was a address mix-up for the destination. The whole experience was efficient and expeditious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It’s no surprise at all that they have a 5 star perfect rating. Daniel and Josue were huge helps. They were super fast, really nice, and took great care with our boxes. They were both an amazing example of professionalism and going above and beyond!

From start to finish, everyone at Otter was quick to respond, very friendly and very helpful. We had to book kind of last minute which was stressful, but their fast responses were a huge weight off our shoulders. Could not recommend them enough.

I moved two months ago from a studio apartment into a one-bedroom, and this was hands down the best moving experience I’ve ever had. I called very last minute after realizing that trying to do everything myself wasn’t realistic, and I’m so glad I did.

Tom, the gentleman I spoke with, was absolutely wonderful—kind, understanding, and extremely thorough. He checked in with me both before and after the move, which I truly appreciated. The movers themselves were incredibly quick, efficient, and professional.

My movers from Truck 14 at Otter Movers were absolutely excellent! They were super friendly, and what impressed me even more was how incredibly fast they were. I honestly thought it would take hours to disassemble all of my furniture, but they had everything done in just 40 minutes.

I used Otter Moving in late December of this year (2025) for a bit of a last-minute move. I called on a Sunday and they were able to move my stuff that Friday -- during the week of Christmas. The moving consultant, Luke, was extra communicative and followed up through every step of the process: getting the initial quote; updating that quote; discussing competitors' pricing; ensuring that certificates of insurance were completed and on file with the management companies of both buildings; and confirming final plan for the day-of move.

The movers were fast and communicative as well. The job took many hours, but the movers worked nonstop. All of my items arrived to my new place undamaged. The movers set up the beds and placed the large pieces of furniture where I directed.

This was my first time making a big move in NYC from elevator building to elevator building. I read so many reviews before going with Otter Moving and believe this was the right choice and both fairly and competitively priced for the job.
