I had a great experience with this moving company. From the very beginning, Dominick was incredibly helpful during the quote and planning process. He was responsive, organized, and made everything feel easy and well-coordinated.

On moving day, Daniel and Josue were amazing. They handled all my belongings with care, worked efficiently, and made the whole move to my new place smooth and stress-free. They were also very friendly and professional throughout the entire process.

This was my first time using Otter Moving & Storage, and we had a great experience. Team #30 was prompt, professional, and very kind throughout the entire move. They were able to get us out of our old building and into the new one quickly and efficiently. They also broke down large items and reassembled everything once we arrived.

Special shoutout to Adam, who coordinated the move, and Blazo from Team #30. Everyone made the process smooth and stress-free. I would definitely recommend them.

I've heard so many nightmare stories about movers, and I was nervous to say the least....

Well, OMS was exceptional! From my first (of many) calls to Ross, including rescheduling and estimation of items, to follow-up and more. On the day of the move Bernardo arrived, right on time, with his team Jorge, Teo and Andres. A few minutes to show them around and they got busy in a hurry. At every moment they were polite, professional and considerate of everything.

At the end of the (long) day, they were still polite, professional and considerate.

Bravo to OMS, you made a very stressful experience almost enjoyable lol.

Otter Movers did a fantastic job. Max made the entire process incredibly simple, even though I contacted him with almost no notice on the same day. He handled everything quickly and efficiently, which made the experience completely stress-free.

Everyone I've spoken to here has been super nice and reasonable. I worked with them for a recent move and undershot my original quote by a lot. My cost increased quite a bit as a result, but their claims team was willing to work with me to resolve a few discrepancies and provide a refund.

My biggest piece of advice for anyone working with a company like this is to be painstakingly accurate with your inventory to protect yourself from day-of cost increases.

Otter is awesome. I worked with Nihad to plan my move and Diego handled it day of. They were quick, careful, and super professional. Not a single casualty or any damage to my things (and they completely packed me!). It was seriously so nice knowing they were handling everything and extremely affordable. Best moving service I’ve ever used! Genuinely nice guys who really took care of everything, nothing broken and all furniture free from any scuffs/dings. The price was shockingly low compared to others in the area but I couldn’t have been more impressed with the service!

Truck number 1, Mika, Ogi and Zlatko — efficient, attentive, and quick. They moved a large 1 bedroom in less than 2 hours. Tons of furniture and lots of boxes, half the cost I was expecting and the cheapest I could find (was looking for movers with less than a weeks notice). All in all a great quick easy moving experience!

I think that everyone is always a little nervous about a move as there are always horror stories, but Otter Moving communicated with me appropriately, showed up on time and did exactly what they said they would and for the fair price that was agreed to.

There were no surprise charges. No bait and switch tactics. Just make sure you tell them exactly what you need to be moved and that the inventory matches up with the written estimate. This goes for any move with any company.

There’s not much more you can ask for from a moving company.

Best moving company I have come across (the third one I've tried) in NYC. Quote was much cheaper than other companies. Temo and his team did a great job with the move. Novak did a great job on the logistics/quote.

I left about a ~35% tip because 1) I had some extra items, 2) there was an unforeseen set of stairs, and 3) the movers didn't bother me the entire time (and didn't whine about how they expected a big tip because of how hard the move was, etc.).

I think about a 20-30% tip is sensible in NYC.

I recently moved from LIC to Astoria and Team 30 assisted my move. They were an incredible team. Extremely polite and efficient. They moved all my stuff so fast, they came into my apartment and within an hour and half it was empty. They also did a great job at transporting my plants! They were priced so well compared to other estimates I received from other competitors in NYC that were several hundred dollars more. I was so happy with their pricing! They took great care of my furniture, everything was wrapped super well, ultimately I’m so happy I went with Otter! I would highly recommend!

I hired this company for a move within Brooklyn. Truck 14 (Milos team) was assigned to my move. They were very professional, fast, and efficient. They were able to figure out paking on a busy street and took great care of all my belongings. I am very grateful for their help making my move very smooth.

First time using a moving company and they made it a breeze. Hans was a great agent at explaining logistics and taking my calls when I needed to add inventory to the list. They were quick to reschedule my move due to the blizzard that came through and we’re efficiently able to move me out of my current place and into my new one within a few hours. Would definitely reccomend and will be using again for the the future.

Chad was my main contact for the move, and he patiently listened to my needs and worked around my hectic schedule. On moving day, Mez and Terry arrived just after 9 am. They were professional, friendly, and quick. The whole move to the storage facility was done before 10:30 am. I would definitely use Otter Moving & Storage again.

I needed a moving company and reached out for a quote and got a call back within a few minutes, and was able to finalize by end of call! The representatives were super helpful and the price were very affordable for such a big move.
The two movers I got were literally early and extremely careful with my boxes. I had heavy stuff and they didnt have one damaged box or furniture.
I recommended them for both my move and fiance and will be letting everyone know about them for future moving purposes. The process was without hassle start to finish!

I have had so many bad experience with movers in the past. I hate to say it, but the industry seems to slant towards unethical behavior and in professionalism.

But Otter Moving is the complete opposite. They are very professional, fairly priced, the movers themselves are friendly, helpful, and efficient, and the office staff is great to work with. Highly recommend this company for your move!

I don’t usually leave reviews, especially for moving companies, but Zach Jurisevic absolutely earned this one. I called already planning to go with another company, but Zach’s professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine customer service completely changed my mind. He gave me real peace of mind during a stressful process and offered a great price without any pressure. Because of him, I switched to Otter and I’m very glad I did. Alex from the company was incredibly helpful! I had to switch my move dates a few times and he was able to easily facilitate the updates. On the move day the guys who came were incredibly efficient and clearly knew what they were doing. What I thought would take 2-3 hours took them just over 1 hour. Otter were recommended to me by a work colleague and also a friend, who’d both used them. Their price was way better than all the other quotes we got. Paul in the office went through every detail we needed and really listened and his follow up was perfect. On moving day Bernardo and Teo were FANTASTIC!!!! They texted in advance to say they were on the way, they took so much care wrapping our furniture and they worked so efficiently and fast. They even packed everything in to our temporary storage unit so it fit perfectly. Great people, super efficient, courteous and good humour too. Best moving company we’ve used and we’d definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

Genuinely shocked at all the positive reviews for this company. Otter has been hands down the worst moving experience I have ever had after 20 years of living in this city.

We were moving to a unit in the same building, literally one floor up, and the movers STILL brought stuff to the street and started packing the truck? This was after David (one of the movers, if you get him, keep an eye on him) try to tell me that the move may take one to two hours more than originally quoted. If feels like they made a decision to try and swindle me before they even showed up.

They scratched our new walls, didn't wrap anything. Just awful customer service and an awful experience.

I cannot recommend Alex and Stoyan from Otter Moving enough! I had to move in the freezing cold, dead of winter, and these guys were absolute champions.

Moving in NYC is stressful enough, but doing it in sub-zero temperatures is a different beast. Alex and Stoyan were incredibly kind, professional, and had a great attitude despite the bitter cold. Most importantly, they were fast—they didn't let the weather slow them down for a second and handled all my belongings with total care.

If you’re looking for movers who are reliable, efficient, and genuinely nice people to work with, ask for Alex and Stoyan. They made a difficult winter move feel like a breeze.

We booked Otter Moving through Chad. He was very communicative throughout the whole process. We rented plastic bins, added inventory as we packed, and gave us clear price estimate with email confirmations. They called to confirmed the day before. Our move date coincided with the snow storm. Four guys showed up with shovels, they had to shovel to space for their truck on the street without complaint. They introduced themselves as George and his crew. The whole move took 5.5 hours. They packed our large items nicely (tv, console, mattress, table, etc). They disassembled our bed frame and dining table, and reassembled it in our new apartment. They moved the items to the proper rooms so we don't have the lug the boxes ourselves. Moving is already so stressful, so having them being efficient and communicative was just what we needed. Moved from in a coop building to another building with tons of rules. Bravo to George and his crew!

Great moving experience with truck 19 and the crew — Agris and Michael who were fantastic. They showed up right on time, worked incredibly efficiently, and handled everything with care and respect. My move was seamless and smooth. I moved on Christmas Eve and it was made so easy and so quick. Everything was out of my old apartment within 30 minutes (I packed ahead of time) and moved into my new place so quickly. Thank you to Djole, Michael, and Agris! This was the smoothest moving experience I had and for a great price compared to other companies that I received quotes from! Mike was really helpful & responsive throughout the process of setting up our move. The day of the move, the movers were very careful with fragile items, while also being efficient. I couldn’t recommend them more!

Otter Moving made my Manhattan to Queens move very smooth! I called about a week in advance and as I only had a few items, Tom quoted me a very reasonable price and ensured movers were able to serve within the required timings of my buildings.

My experience with Otter was nothing short of fantastic. From initial outreach, Nikola from the booking team was wonderful. Extremely responsive, confirmed all the services I needed, and booked the moved quickly and easily. Moving day was equally as fantastic. My mover Peter reached out to confirm timing a day in advance, and he and his team were thorough, quick, very careful with all items, and very nice! They made the moving experience completely stress free and went above and beyond to ensure it was a seamless experience from start to finish. Absolutely amazing experience! Had seen other reviews saying it was a super easy and smooth process with Otter, but did not expect how easy it was going to be. Worked with Paul in the office and fully got my move set up in less than an hour - he was super responsive and very kind. Brandon and the guys in Truck 23 were efficient, kind, and handled everything with care - they had my entire local move done start to finish in 3 hours. Overall 12/10 for all of them!
