Shout out to Miles and his team. They really went above and beyond to ensure my move within NJ was as smooth as possible. Communication was excellent from start to finish. They are really intentional about this company, and it shows in their interactions with customers and their overall work ethic. 10/10 would recommend and definitely would use them again and again.

Nemanja and my whole experience with Otter movers was excellent. I contacted multiple places and they gave the best price. The team was in and out of my first place in less than 30 minutes and drop off took 15. Couldn’t have been smoother or friendlier!

Otter was amazing. They arrived 5 minutes before the moving window prepared to get right to it. They were able to empty my apartment in less than an hour. It was impressive. Safely wrapping furniture and moving expeditiously. Can’t thank them enough for making my move stress free

I had a very disappointing experience with Otter Moving and would recommend proceeding with caution.

To be fair, the foreman of the two-man crew was generally professional and easy to deal with, and everyone I interacted with in the office was genuinely nice and responsive. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the second mover and several overall issues during the move.

From the moment they arrived, the second mover immediately demanded a tip before any work had even started and kept pressuring me throughout the move, saying tipping was not included and that I “needed to take care of them.” The approach was aggressive and uncomfortable.

When it came to a few additional items beyond the initial quote, I had no issue paying for them through the company. However, the mover became visibly upset and tried to get me to pay him cash directly instead of going through the office. I refused and asked him to call the office and update the bill to charge my card. He responded by raising his voice, saying they wouldn’t move anything unless I paid cash on the spot, and temporarily refusing to do the job.

He also refused to move items that were clearly included in the original quote, repeatedly claiming they weren’t covered even when I showed him the written estimate. This led to multiple outbursts before he finally relented and did what was already agreed to.

There were also some basic professionalism issues. At one point, the foreman asked to use my bathroom, which I said was completely fine. Afterward, since my soap was packed, I offered hand sanitizer. He laughed, said he didn’t need it, and then continued handling all of my belongings.

After unpacking, I discovered that my TV had been severely damaged during the move. The screen panel had separated from the frame and the TV is now unusable. When it was being unloaded, one mover started to point out an issue, but the other cut him off and pushed me to sign off indicating no damage before I had a chance to properly inspect it.

When I raised the damage, I was told the TV was “dusty,” implying that was the reason it no longer worked. Apparently, a dusty back of a TV is supposed to cause the panel to separate, which is obviously not credible.

I also later heard that the company was told I was upset about additional charges, which is not true. I had no issue paying for legitimate add-ons through proper channels. The issue was the behavior, the attempted side payment, and the handling of my belongings.

Overall, while the office staff and foreman were pleasant, the conduct during the move and the damage to my property made this a stressful and frustrating experience. I would not feel comfortable recommending this company, especially for anyone moving alone.

Proceed with caution.

AMAZING service! Truly better than Piece of Cake by far. Vladimir and Kamilo (Truck #4) were outstanding from start to finish—extremely kind, professional, and incredibly efficient. They handled everything with care, worked quickly without cutting corners, and made what could have been a stressful move feel smooth and easy.

They were also very respectful, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Their positive attitude and teamwork really stood out. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and top-quality movers.

Had to move very last minute. I called with a one day notice and Otter was not only accommodating but flexible and still at a really good price. The day of move not only were they still understanding but also made the move super smooth. The moving guys were the best and beyond helpful and patient. I highly recommend this company and will be doing my storage move with them.

Mika, Ogi, Balsa did an amazing job!! We didn’t have to lift a finger. And they were super careful with our brand new floors too. None of our belongings were broken. I would hire them again for any future move and would recommend them for all friends and family!

Otter moving is amazing. I did a lot of research and got multiple quotes before booking by with Felix and his team. At first when I saw so many 5 star reviews I was skeptical, even went down a reddit thread which only confirmed that they really deserve all of the stars. I would give more stars if I could. Not only did they offer me a ridiculously affordable price on my move (even after making some adjustments to inventory and planning, I paid several hundred dollars less than 5 other companies quoted me), but the team was so quick and efficient and pleasant to work with day of. They handled everything with great care and communication and I’ve never seen movers work so efficiently before. I did pay the remaining balance (post $50 deposit) the day before which at first made me nervous but they did a fantastic job. Felix made sure all of my calls ahead of time were handled with care and I had everything I needed and the team that moved me from A to B was phenomenal. If you’re reading this review I promise you they are who you want to book with. If you are skeptical like me and thought “this has to be too good to be true” I promise that they’ll treat you the same way they treated me- book with Otter!

Nik and partner did a really incredible job moving all of my stuff. They were very timely (their arrival window was between 11-2 and they got there at 11), they treated my items with a lot of care, and they worked so fast!! Everything was done before 2. Couldn’t be more thankful for their work, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to move in NYC.

I was honestly really nervous as a first-time mover, but Otter Storage made the whole experience so much smoother than I expected!! Great moving company. Very communicative throughout the process, my entire move was done in less than 4 hours. As it was my first move, there were some things I wasn’t aware of, but Batrick and his team accommodated me very well despite the challenges. Can’t recommend them enough.

Really happy with my experience with Otter Moving. I booked somewhat late (about 10 days before my move), but Otter quoted me less than Piece of Cake, which I had used a couple years ago. The movers were right on time and professional throughout. They wrapped and moved my furniture with care and efficiency. There was one slight snafu (they forgot to take a piece of furniture), but I called them and they immediately came back to pack it. Would happily use Otter Moving again.

Review for Brandon & Alex- Truck 23: By far the best moving experience I ever had. They arrived early to the job and were so fast and efficient. They moved all boxes for a 2 bedroom apartment in under 2 hrs. They were equally as skilled in loading all boxes and furniture into the storage units. 10/10; highly recommended.

Truck #34’s crew was great! I was very pleased that David and co. helped and knocked it out by moving my stuff in under two hours. For reference, I had a small amount of stuff in my bedroom. I recommend Otter Moving and hope to use their services again.

Team 30 (headed by Blazo) did an amazing job. Packing/moving can be one of the more stressful things to deal with in life, but the team masterfully packed everything in the apartment and transported everything safely. this is our first time using a moving company and we werent sure what to expect, but we had a wonderful experience and would recommend Otter to everyone! we moved today from our 1BR brooklyn apt into another 1BR in queens. movers showed up around 8:50, finished the entire move by 11:30. incredible speed and efficiency. we are two adults with a baby and a dog, and had a considerable amount of small items that needed to be packed into an extra 7 boxes, which they handled graciously. they helped us unload at the new space and were very considerate of where we wanted everything. thank you so much for everything!

Had very smooth experience with them, from getting the quote to confirming the appointment to the moving day. Nik and couple other guys did the move for me, he was really patient in wrapping and dissembling the furniture. My building had issues with the service elevator so they had to wait around for longer than expected, but Nik didn’t say a word. I’m very happy with the whole experience, service was great.
