I had a wonderful experience with Otter Moving and Storage! My quote was very affordable and Alex (the employee I was in contact with) went above and beyond to make sure I wasn’t being overcharged for anything. The movers were nice and incredibly fast and nothing was damaged or broken.

After seeing so many horror stories about a certain pink, bakery themed moving service, I was nervous about finding a reputable, ethical moving company and I’m so happy I found OMS! I’ll definitely be using their services in the future.

Haven't had to move apartments in NYC since coming to the city in 2016, so I dreaded the thought of having navigate the intricacies of the moving process. The team from Otter made this move easier than I expected. The communications from Peter were clear and concise for follow-up. Boris and Djordje, my moving team the day of, did a great job managing a move from a walk-up apartment in a busy Manhattan neighborhood. They were able to move around the tight corridors and corners carrying relatively heavy boxes and furniture and kept everything in great condition even in the rain! Appreciate their efforts on this holiday weekend, thanks for making it so pain free! Would use again in the future.

Highly recommend! We were with team Alex and the two movers were professional, efficient, and handled everything with so much care. I had a great experience with Otter Moving from start to finish. Even before move in day, they were very responsive via text or email. They also worked with me to try to keep costs at a minimum. They were very friendly, efficient, and handled all of my belongings with care. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable movers.

Ogi and Gaga were so amazing and so helpful! They were able to pick up from two different locations and drop off at the same apartment. They were so helpful in disassembling and reassembling furniture. I really appreciated that they made sure everything was protected. Communicative, friendly, very great at their jobs!

Borut and Dwayne were amazing! They were very professional, quick, and very careful with all my boxes and furnature. It was a very hot day and they were still so positive and in good spirits lugging heavy furnature around. Communication prior to the move was great as well. I had to add and remove things a couple times and there was never a problem with the process. Id recommend otter moving to all my friends and family and definitely use them again!

From the courtesy call before arriving to the way they handled everything from start to finish, they were professional, organized, and made the whole process feel stress-free. Vanja and his team were great, they moved everything so quickly and with great care. Scheduling with Novak was great, he answered all of my questions. We had peace of mind before and during the move. Reasonable price and would recommend to friends!

I needed last minute moving of furniture into a storage unit, and luckily came across Otter! They were super fast at responding and getting a quote for me. Super reasonable price (best price I ever received) moving a whole apartment worth of furniture from LIC to Long Island. The movers Rocky and Matt (truck 011) were the best. They showed up on the early side of the time window I was provided. Super kind and attentive. Taking the extra steps to individually wrap and box up pieces to ensure they don't get damaged. Couldn’t recommend them enough. Will be using again!

Peter & crew in truck 57 was amazing! Less than 3 hours start to finish for a pretty big move, and everything arrived in great shape. Otter's price was literally over $1000 less than the next closest quote and they were very attentive and easy to communicate with. Very highly recommended!

Alex's and his team were very professional and got my move done with great time and efficiency. I will definitely be using there services again even though I didnt have such a big move but was still alot with 3 flights of stairs they were done fast

Movers did a great job bringing everything out and packing up all my furniture with blankets. They provided all furniture boxes necessary and arrived on time, for context I live in a 2 bed moving into a 3 bed so I had a lot of furniture to take care of. They packed my pc up perfectly and were very careful. They were done packing up the first place in 4 hours. Once we got to the new apartment (it was a 2 story brownstone walk up) they worked wonderfully as a team bringing up the furniture piece by piece, asking me where they should all go and helped me set up my bed! 5/5 stars! I’ve had other moving companies in the past and have had a lot of issues with them thankfully Otter moving did not give me any stress. Contacting Tony prior to the move was amazing he offered great assistance when it was regarding my furniture list!

I booked a move with Mark and he was wonderful: he took the time to video call me to share an accurate quote and was very responsive & reassuring when I had questions. On the day, Peter and his team showed up: they were extremely professional, funny and super efficient - truly a smooth move and it’s very appreciated!

Peter and Mamadou came to help my friend move in between apartments. They were very courteous, kind, and respectful. They worked very quickly, non stop. My friend and I were very impressed with them. I highly recommend them next time you are moving.

The move went fantastic! They picked up and moved so quickly. Everyone was so communicative. They wrapped stuff so professional and just moved. From John, who helped me with going over the list of items that I needed to move, multiple times, to the movers, who took stuff from my 3rd floor apartment, then took some of my stuff to a storage unit (and placed everything in there as if the were Tetris masters), then the rest to my new apartment, and set up my bed frame and mattress. Phenomenal service all-around. Thanks!
Update: I moved a year later and decided to use Otter again. Every aspect went as expected. Great experience from the team. 10/10. Already recommended to another friend that's going to use this company.

We had to move out of our college dorm, and the guys from truck #34 were so helpful! They made the experience so smooth, and handled all of our things with care.

If you need help moving out and storing your things over the summer, you should definitely hire them, they do an amazing job!

Boris & Roberto did a phenomenal job with our move! The communication was seamless throughout the whole process and they were very quick and efficient with safely moving all our items. Would highly recommend them to anyone who needs help moving!!

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience, especially as a repeat customer who has never had issues before. I was specifically told over the phone that the movers would pack my belongings using boxes I already had. I was also told over email that everything would be packed for my moving day.

However, when the movers arrived, I was suddenly told this was against company policy. As a result, I was forced to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of additional boxes last minute—some of which weren’t even used.

When I reached out via email and phone to raise my concerns, there was little urgency in addressing the issue. I only received a response after following up again and mentioning that I planned to leave a review. Even more frustrating, I was told that I was “never told that,” despite those assurances being made over the phone.

The movers themselves were understanding, but the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service from management was incredibly frustrating. As a loyal returning customer, this experience was disappointing and has left a very negative impression. They did refund me for the unused boxes I had to additionally purchase, but disappointed overall with my experience.

Had moving day today and had a great experience with the Otter team. Advan was amazing — he worked quickly, handled everything professionally, and clearly knew what he was doing.

Great service as always. Otter is my go to company to work with and the guys are always friendly, fast and careful. I needed a team of 4 today t9 move a lot of gardening material and the work was completed in 1.5 hours. Amazing.

We had a great experience with Otter Moving & Storage from start to end. Starting off with Nina who is on top of the communication line from providing quotes and answering emails around the clock. Team Kenyi and his partner are professional and efficient. They worked seamlessly and some how everything was nicely wrapped before I finished packing one box.
It was a smooth and stress free experience and we are glad that we chose Otter Moving.

The move went quickly and they were courteous and very nice and helpful. The price was very reasonable and I even added on a stop and it wasn’t an exorbitant amount extra. I would definitely use them again if I ever had to move which I hope I don’t but I’m recommending them to everyone I know.

The guys at Otter Moving were top notch. Luke was very helpful in finding us a reasonable rate and booked our move quickly. David, van #34, and his colleague were extremely helpful and kind. They went above and beyond with their service and got the work done with time to spare.

Otter made my move super easy and low stress. Ahead of the move I was communicating with Alex who was so helpful and responsive, I could reach him by phone, text, or email. They gave me the COIs I needed within a day. My movers were Boris and another whose name I didn’t catch, they were very efficient and took about 2 hrs to move a bedroom worth of stuff, start to finish. They were kind, patient through elevator delays, and never once complained about the stairs or heavy boxes. Would recommend to anyone and would use Otter again!!

Alex and Rodrigo absolutely rocked it. They were efficient, polite, speedy, helpful, and overall went above and beyond. They definitely knew what they were doing and I am incredibly grateful for the extra help they provided in going so far as removing and reinstalling my doors in order to get this dresser in a tight spot. Viktor and Angel from #41 were best in class movers — they took the care to wrap and secure all my belongings, all the while being speedy and efficient. They were also super friendly and earnest people, something that is not always easy to find, and especially important when they are handling your life’s valuables (I’ve learned this the hard way through the last 10 years of moving every single year)

I really appreciated David and his partner’s service for my move today (truck number #34)! It was a highly pleasant experience - very efficient and friendly.

From the initial sales quote to the actual move, everything was full of positivity and done with professionalism. The price is fair, move was hassle-free. Honestly the best movers I could ask for. I also like the fact that they have their own storage unit - it suits my needs perfectly.

Btw, I’d like to reemphasize how promptly everything was handled - I called very last minute in a bit of emergency situation; my call was immediately answered and the movers showed up on time. I can’t say thank you enough.

They were amazing!!!!! Second time ever using movers, first time working with Otter and I will DEFINITELY keep them in mind for the future. Their quote system was the most straightforward and transparent and every phone call and text conversation was so courteous and helpful! The quote breakdown they give is EVERYTHINGGG 🙂‍↕️💯 Truly the best. They also gave me such a good quote, esp considering it was a last minute and an end-of-the-month move. And on the day of they were very quick moving while still very courteous with my items! They were also very understanding with any on-site adjustments that were needed on the day of.
