Awesome overall moving experience and these guys were FAST. I worked with Hans to set up the day and Duke was our main mover. Absolutely seamless experience from the team at Otter Moving. They showed up on time, handled every item with care, and were extremely professional and timely. We will definitely be using them again for our next move.

Otter Moving was a fantastic choice for my recent move. I did a ton of research and comparison shopping before selecting a moving company, and I'm so glad I went with Otter. They were super friendly, easy to work with, and their pricing was very competitive – they beat out several other companies I got quotes from.

Otter moving and storage is outstanding. They communicated well, were transparent about pricing, and kept us up to date throughout the whole process of our complicated move. The crew were very professional, expedient, and polite. They wrapped our furniture in shrink wrap and in furniture pads, taking ultimate care of our belongings and the building. I can't say enough about how great our experience was with Otter.

Otter was amazing. They called me 15 minutes before our moving window to check if I was ready, and then arrived precisely when scheduled. They moved all the boxes and furniture out of our 1-bedroom in less than 3 hours. The whole experience was seamless and they were very responsive over email. My building super who watched them even said that he would book them when he was ready to move because they did such a good job.

The team at Otter Moving made our moving day a breeze. They arrived early, immediately got started, and consulted us when needed. They treated our items with the utmost care and respect, and had a great attitude. Particularly grateful to the team for completing a long distance move in one day. My move with Otter was great! From the beginning, Mark and his team were so helpful, happily answering any questions I had. They were also able to give me a very affordable rate for a cross country move which is ultimately why I chose them.

The day of the move was super easy and it went just as they had communicated it would and as I expected. Everything was on time and the movers took good care of my stuff and were in and out of my apartment in a short period of time.

Incredible moving company! The rates were very fair and affordable and it’s a flat fee so no surprises. The movers were professionals, very careful and no damage to my items. They wrapped my mattress themselves and any other sensitive items. Caleb was fantastic, very proactive and efficient. They’ll be my go to moving forward.

I was moving a vintage dresser that was my grandmother's from NJ to Brooklyn. Advan reached out to me right away with a quote that was $100 less than another moving company. As it turned out, a friend insisted on bringing it so I ended up not needing Otter's services. Advan refunded my deposit immediately. He even gave me some advice on moving that type of furniture for future reference. I plan to keep Otter in mind for future moves.

Otter Moving & Storage came through in a pinch after Piece of Cake left me high and dry. Not only were the movers present on time, they were extremely careful with my items, professional, able to quickly wrap up and move the items, & safely transport my items from Jersey City to NYC. I also mentioned Otter Moving offered me a better quote as well which added to my 5 star experience. I would highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Otter Moving for my NYC local move and will strongly recommend them to anyone who asks for a moving company. Duke and the Truck 5 team got my 1 bd apartment loaded, moved, and settled into my new place in record time with outstanding care.
I called around for a lot of quotes and actually was booked a month out with a different moving company until I realized that company had booked me on the wrong day only a few days before my move! Otter Moving came to my rescue, not only by being available on a few days’ notice with great pricing, but also by turning around quotes immediately, sending COIs less than an hour after I sent requirements, and quickly updating my inventory as I found more things that I needed to move. Their services are comprehensive and what were extra charges with some companies (wardrobe boxes, mats to protect furniture, etc.), Otter said “of course that’s included!”
The actual move execution exceeded all expectations. The Truck 5 team was prompt, professional, communicative, and effective. Once we’d confirmed what was moving/not and they got to work, there were whole areas of my apartment that were safely packed and loaded before I even noticed. Everything was unloaded at my destination quickly and they were a major help in getting us settled into our new place.
They'd already gone the extra mile, but to add to it, I had a pressboard dresser that I had damaged one of the legs on a long time ago. Noticing this while packing, Duke offered to reinforce it with a couple extra screws if I wanted. He added the extra hardware which matched the current screws already there and that dresser is now more solid than it's ever been!
For my next move, I will only be calling Otter Moving. Thanks again!

What a great choice it was to use this company!!! Duke and Luka are so professional and efficient! I've been in the restaurant business for 5 decades and this is the first time I've seen work ethics like this. Very punctual , fast and careful. I would give them 50 stars if I could!

The team that helped me (Truck 5) picked up everything from my apt in less than 5 hrs. Really fast and efficient. Also good customer support. I wont have an update on how my objects are until I get my stuff back in a couple of months but for now it has been great

I had an amazing experience with this company. The first one was on a Google search and decided to go with them. Called multiple companies but they offered me some stuff that I didn't even need. Tried to upcharge me for simple stuff...smh... Anyway, they were great and provided me with a transparent price and I had 0 surprises on the day of the move!!!

Amazing, amazing small moving company! I booked Otter moving to move our company from Harlem to Brooklyn. From the first call Advan was on point, the owner of the firm came to our location to view the move and quote a price. The day of the move the team Otter sent were all first class, hard working, careful people. We had no stress and the communication with everyone was exactly what we were expecting. Highly recommended and thank you Otter!

I’ve had many moves over my years but hands down have to credit Otter for being my most seamless from start to finish. Vlad was extremely communicative and helpful from day one, one reason I went with them. The 2 movers came on time, were friendly, highly organized, professional and careful with my items. They simply went above and beyond, and I’m just so grateful. I couldn’t recommend them more!

I'd hire again in a heartbeat! We booked movers to help load a cross country truck and booked the job the night before because another group canceled on us. The movers came right at the time we asked and they stayed until the job was completed even though our moving truck got to our apt late and it was outside their committed 2-hour window. Provided shrink wrap and extra tape and were extremely considerate of all our fragile boxes. The two man team worked like a machine. They were incredibly fast and efficient. Wonderful people!

Had an amazing experience with Otter moving! Getting the quote and taking inventory of my stuff was easy. I needed to call and update my inventory a few times, and they were able to help me take care of that quickly and easily without raising the price (I added a few small-medium boxes). The move itself was much smoother and faster than I expected too. They took really good care of my stuff and got everything done efficiently and professionally, all for a great price. Will use them again for my next move!

DO NOT USE THEM if you value your privacy and your stuff. Moving is already stressful but this service made it 10x worse than it needed to be. They showed up with an incorrect inventory, completely unnecessarily rifled through my stuff, and carelessly packed my items. They put a bottle of liquid upside down on top of electronics, which of course opened and spilled all over them. They crushed items and papers, threw my pillows on the floor, and I had to tell them several times that yes, EVERYTHING is going. I’m not leaving just a random handful of items behind…their excuse was that the movers were tired and new (had only been working for 10days). Plus they left many items behind and offered to go back to the previous address for them. They told me to head over and when I was halfway into the 40-minute trip they said actually we can’t today.

Otter Moving helped me with my move from Brooklyn to NJ. Mark helped me finalize my inventory list and was very helpful and responsive leading up to my move date. John & Tony were my movers and they were great - super friendly, careful, and quick! Would recommend Otter to anyone looking to make the move from NYC to NJ.

I've moved and stored items with Otter Movers twice in the past 12 month. The service is great, quick and polite and they'll take good care of your belongings. The scheduling and budgeting process is very clear and transparent, and as long as you list every item you are moving the rate you'll be charged is set and very fair. Highly recommend!

Duke and Luka made my move absolutely seamless. From packing to moving to providing updates on their ETA, I cannot have asked for a better moving experience. Nikola was extremely professional in the office as well. I will be using Otter again!

This is a fantastic service. The price I was quoted was pretty competitive so I wasn't sure what level of service I was going to get. The movers were very professional and hardworking, however. I was very impressed and would absolutely use them again.

This was an all-around smooth move with a professional and pleasant crew. Having moved many times, Otter truly stands out and can't recommend highly enough.

This was the BEST moving experience I've ever had, and I've moved many times (10-15 or so) over the past 30 years. This was a long distance move (NYC to CT), and throughout Matthew and Vlad were professional, hard working and got the job done fast and completely without incident. The cost was extremely reasonable and honestly lower than I thought they deserved. I give them my absolute strongest recommendation.

I used Otter moving service on 9/23/23. The movers arrived 15 minuets prior to the appointment, which was excellent. There were 3 movers on the team. The lead mover communicated efficiently with me and the team. The movers worked quickly and they took items that were not on the list. I paid the flat fee that was quoted. The movers had difficult condition to deal with on the day of the move. I moved from a 2nd floor walkup to a third floor walkup. Several of the items were extremely heavy and it was raining for the entire moved. The movers never complained in front of me, they worked as a team to ensure the job got done. At the end of the move the lead mover asked me if I was satisfied and if I had any concerns. Then he called his boss to finalized the job. The boss spoke with me to ensure I was satisfied. I recommend this company. Otter movers offer competitive pricing and efficient work.

Best moving company ever! I was very nervous looking for a great quality company for my move that wouldn’t over charge me and they were awesome from beginning to end. They are affordable and had the best price hands down out of 2 other popular moving companies in nyc that I got quotes for. They packed everything up safely ( including my glass annd mirrors) and were extremely nice. I didn’t have to lift a finger! And they’re quick! Vanja and Mathew were the best!!!! I’ve done the research for you, all you have to do is use them!!! You won’t regret it

This is my first time using a service such as this so I was a little hesitant, however, the company, the staff, the service has all been wonderful. I got a quick response and next day services. The two gentleman, vanja and matija, that came to help were very kind and respectful and most importantly quick! Lastly, it was affordable AND they have storage. My wife and I recently got married and decided to move to a bigger apartment in NY. After almost half a year, we eventually decided to move from Williamsburg, BKN to Astoria, Queens. I thought of doing the work myself over a few weeks, but a friend of mine recommended Otter guys and this is what brings me here.
Otter's crew assisted me during my move, and I am thrilled with their exceptional care. Moving can be stressful, especially with delicate items (keep in mind my wife is an art collector, so my reliance on Otter had more than just a ''simple move'' at stake :D), but this team made sure everything arrived safely.

The crew arrived on time and were suuuper friendly, I didn't feel like I was hiring someone to do a paid job, but to genuinely help us get this move right!
They took the time to understand my concerns about her fragile items and did a really good job convincing her as well about their expertise.

Their packing skills were impressive. They used all sorts of materials like bubble wrap and padding to protect each and every delicate piece of art we/she had :) . They were meticulous and ensured everything was secure for transportation.

During loading and unloading, the crew continued to handle the items with care. They expertly maneuvered through tight spaces without causing any damage. Their attention to detail was commendable. Really, I am super amazed at how well are they providing their moving operations.

If anyone is reading this - go for Otter guys. Truly amazing professionals, but above all - people at the end of the day, trying to understand their customer and provide help, not just a paid service.

I even asked them to buy a T-Shirt and self-promote them from time to time. That speaks enough about my level of gratitude for what they've done.

Recently used Otter moving for our move from Manhattan to BK, and they were great! Leading up to the move the team was very responsive and helped with any questions. They are super professional and kind, but also increadibly fast and flexible. Most importantly, the price for their service was more than fair!
