Peter and team 57 were amazing! They helped with our move from ny to nj and made it stress free. Novac helped with the details and preparation while reassuring us of any concerns we had. Overall, Otter has been very kind, patient and helpful. I would highly recommend this company and this team to anyone needing to move!

My sister had to move from NYC to ILLINOIS This summer. It was very hectic and stressful to find a reliable company that doesn't have hidden fees or false promises or scare tactics. This company is run by good people and very trustworthy. They arrived on time, and were very efficient. Ofc she had the boxes ready for them as she is very organized too. The 5 stars is well deserved. Her stuff arrived to IL a bit earlier than expected and nothing was damaged, stolen or lost!
I would recommend this company always!

Luka + 1 other mover on his team (truck 44) did a great job with my move! My roommate was moving out at the same time using a different moving company so it was busier, but they navigated the move seamlessly and were efficient. I felt I could trust them with my items

Peter and team 57 came in and did an excellent job moving all of our belongings. What I liked the most about his team was their thoughtful and careful handling of fragile and valuable items. Not a single item was broken in the moving process and they moved with speed and efficiency- definitely will use again for my next move!

Had a great experience with Otter Team 42! They helped me move from LIC to Jersey City, and the whole process was fast and smooth. The team was very patient, professional, and careful with everything. Really appreciated their help and would definitely recommend them!

I had a great experience with Otter! Vuk and Alex were fantastic from start to finish. They arrived early, worked quickly and efficiently, and were both extremely friendly and professional. Truck #32 was handled perfectly, and the entire move went smoothly without any issues. I really appreciated how easy and stress-free they made the whole process. I would definitely give Otter 5/5 stars and highly recommend Vuk, Alex, and the Otter team to anyone looking for a moving company!

I went with Otter Movers~ they were so fast (early!) & competitively priced! I just had one large piece of furniture. Booked & moved same day! Sales agent / manager Hans and movers Brandon & another were professional, nice & very efficient! I was not even asked for a tip, so giving one actually feels like an act of kindness & appreciation. Would definitely book with them again!

We had three movers for a 900sqft home and the move out/in was done in 5 hours! Very kind and professional and efficient movers. They wrapped and dissembled all necessary items and easily adjusted based on our final inventory list which was slightly different than what I’d originally provided. Just make sure to request your COIs a few days in advance — there was a mix up on that but they corrected it before the move. Would recommend and use again.

I had a great experience with Otter from start to finish. Tony was so helpful gathering my inventory and answering all my questions. My mover Luca and truck #44 were efficient and thorough with their packing and unloading — I was amazed! Otter Moving made a notoriously stressful day a very nice one. I appreciate all the work they did, thank you so much!

Team #58 Zivorad, Djordje, Hugo did an excellent job moving my apartment— they finished everything in less than 2 hours, after having completed another customer’s move in the morning. They were also willing to move some extra things that I was planning to move myself. This is my second year in a row using Otter and I can’t recommend them enough. Just wish they would change their logo to be a sea otter instead of a river otter. 🦦 long live Otter!!!!

I had such a great experience with this moving company! Lucky’s team was incredibly helpful, quick, and efficient from start to finish. They were very responsive, listened to all of my requests, and were more than willing to accommodate everything I needed. The whole process was smooth and stress-free, and I really loved working with them. I truly appreciate how professional, friendly, and hardworking the entire team was. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving company!

Mover 26 team were wonderful. They stayed very kind and patient even after accidentally going to the wrong building first. Their great attitude made a stressful day much easier. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs a smooth move!

Good value! They worked to help keep costs down and they didn’t add anything unexpected (I saw a review saying they didn’t nickel and dime, I agree). Everything was moved safely, no damages. They were nice and worked really fast. I’d use them again in the future!

Amazingly fantastic experience. Super easy and quick to book, and the team arrived 5 minutes early and were done with the job in no time. Oh and the price was unbeatable (I compared with Roadway - who have also been excellent in the past, Piece of Cake, Perfect Movers and Big Apple). Would 100% recommend and use again. Very glad I used Otter for my move, and Luca and Henry were a dream team. Everything went so quickly, they handled all of my items (and stress!) with care and helped reassemble my dining room table on the back end. I have another small move coming up and will 100% hire them again.

I have never had moving and, literally, done anything. They did all. I just sit and watched them work so fast as light 👌 and after delivered everything and the best put all in the place that I asked for. Amazing job #58 team I advice you to try their service.

Best moving company I have worked with in NYC!

Otter Moving made our office move seamless. The team helped us move our entire office on a Friday so that we could be fully operational at our new space on Monday.

Courteous and professional team, that pays attention to detail and takes care in moving your belongings.

The team not only moves things, they also can install things like TVs and whiteboards to get you up and running in your new space.

Amazing communication via telephone. Thank you so much for being available, reachable, and able to solve problems quickly. This CANNOT be said about other nyc moving companies. I needed a pickup at 6 am with about 12 hours notice and they pulled through. THANK YOU to Miles for all his help in this regard.

Also thank you to truck 21 who unloaded my stuff and helped me move into my new place. Josue and Luis were kind, hardworking, and so careful with my things. I will definitely be using otter again!

Had a great experience moving from NJ to NYC with Otter. The pricing is very transparent and reasonable, and I was able to update my inventory list multiple times before the move and on the day of. The movers efficiently moved my items, provided special boxes for fragile items, and handled all of the moving logistics. Highly recommend!
Truck #26 was a great team!

Peter and Ogi did an amazing job. They were incredibly careful, paid attention to every detail, and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was done right. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their work and their customers. They were professional, easy to work with, and made the whole experience stress free.

I decided to try a local company when moving from my storage unit on long island to Orlando. From the very beginning, Dan was a great communicator and followed through when I told him price was a main concern. His team was fast and efficient. They stored my items at their facility. While they contract out long distance movers that aren't a fast/direct transport, the third party was still communicative. My items got to Orlando in 3 days (faster than the estimated time).

Would definitely recommend otter to anyone!

Team 44!!! Luca and Henry were fabulous. They unloaded quickly, and even though it was raining, everything got into the apartment in good shape. And they stayed around to unwrap everything and take away the garbage. Very satisfied, would use them again

I used Otter Moving for my move from my 6th-floor walk-up apartment in the UES to New Jersey. I had a lot of stuff, so I knew it wasn't going to be an easy move, but the team was awesome.

4 movers came, and they got everything done way faster than I expected. I chose the full-service option, so they packed everything up and handled the entire move. They also didn't make a big deal about a few extra items that weren't on my original list, which I really appreciated.

I got quotes from different moving companies before deciding, and Otter really stood out. Their communication was great from the start. Sam was especially helpful—he always replied quickly and was available whenever I had questions.

Overall, it was a really smooth experience, and I'd definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

My roommates and I had an amazing move with Otter Moving NYC! I had 2 other roommates on a 6 floor walkup, and they did a wonderful job with all of our furniture and boxes. The movers were friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to Daniel, Ronnie, Felipe, and their team! Highly recommend!

This is the most fraudulent and dishonest moving company. They did our move and destroyed half our things. We also paid extra for their “ packing service” which was basically like having illegal laborers throw things in boxes with no labels and dumped them in our new home.
On top of that, they have fraudulently charged extra charges for extra hours that are completely untrue

The five star ratings here must be complete lies I would never trust this company. I’m actually going to be filing a lawsuit and complaining to consumer Bureau. Whatever you do do not move here in New York City because they will make your move miserable. I have moved at least seven times in the city. I saw their five star reviews and wanted to make the move and it was the biggest regret of my entire move. This whole thing has been a nightmare. They’ve triple charged me which is illegal and they didn’t even send enough people to do the job.
Trust me do not hire them

If I could give this company 0 stars, I absolutely would. Based on my experience, I find it very difficult to reconcile what I went through with the nearly perfect Google rating. I wish I had looked beyond the stars before trusting this company with my move.

This was one of the most frustrating service experiences I've ever had.

From the moment the crew arrived, they failed to follow my instructions. They packed items that I had specifically asked them to leave behind while, at the same time, leaving behind several items that were supposed to be moved. As a result, I had to hire another moving company and pay additional money just to move the belongings they failed to take.

The packing itself was incredibly careless. Many boxes had no labels whatsoever, making unpacking a nightmare. Instead of organizing items by room or category, belongings were simply dumped into random boxes with little to no organization.

What shocked me the most was what I discovered after unpacking. Many of the moving boxes contained only a single item or just a few very small items—when they could have easily been packed together. It was difficult not to question whether the boxes were intentionally underfilled to increase the number of boxes used and, ultimately, the amount I was charged. I was genuinely stunned as I opened box after box with almost nothing inside.

To make matters worse, I was billed for additional packing services that I never authorized or approved. At no point was I asked to approve a revised estimate, sign off on additional work, or consent to these extra charges. When I questioned the charges, the company simply claimed that I had authorized them claim that I completely dispute.

The handling of my furniture was equally unacceptable. My leather couch was damaged, my velvet dining chairs were damaged, my dining table was dented, my rug was damaged, and numerous other pieces of furniture were left with scratches, gouges, and scuff marks. These were items that had been well cared for before the move.

When I raised these concerns, instead of taking responsibility, the company directed me to my third-party insurance for the damaged items while refusing to address the unauthorized charges. Having insurance does not excuse careless handling of a customer's belongings or charging for services that were never approved.

Overall, I was left with damaged furniture, missing moving services that I had to pay another company to complete, unexpected charges, disorganized packing, and a company unwilling to take accountability. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company document every item with photos and videos, supervise the crew throughout the move, and insist that every additional service or charge be approved in writing before the work begins.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Otter Moving Company was absolutely fantastic! The crew was friendly, hardworking, and made the entire experience stress-free. Everything went so smoothly. They handled every item with care, worked efficiently, and were great to work with from start to finish. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I had an absolutely horrific experience with Otter Moving Company during my relocation from New York to North Carolina. I provided them with my exact closing date well in advance and explicitly stated that I could not accept delivery until the following day.Instead of following instructions, they arrived an entire week early. When I told them I could not accept the delivery yet due to the closing schedule, they threatened me. They stated that if I didn't take the delivery immediately, they would take my belongings back to New York.When I requested that they place my items in a local warehouse to resolve their own scheduling error, the truck driver informed me that if they took it back, my belongings would be trucked to California, then back to New York, and finally back to North Carolina.Their communication is aggressive, their logistics are completely broken, and they use threats instead of customer service to solve problems they created. Do not trust this company with your move.

So grateful for Peter and Team 57 for their thoughtful care, kindness and patience. Hot muggy day and nevertheless helped my family move into our third floor walk up. Team came early, stayed late and always persistent. Couldn’t imagine doing this move as a family without them. Strong recommendation.
