First off I would like to thank you to Brandon for being so helpful through out the move amazing work an for his helper Tino a hard worker and he stacked my stuff in the truck great no damages truck 23 would recommend to everyone Thanks to the whole otter team!!!!

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. They refused to try taking apart a bookcase and also tried to leave things behind in our apartment because the quote was locked (why did they lock it before finishing? We would have paid more for extra packing and made that clear!). This included trying to leave valuable paintings behind on the walls we asked to have taken down. They said the truck was full? It was not. Anyways they also arrived laid when we paid extra for a specific arrival time. So it was not the best experience sadly.

Lucky, Marko, Santiago just finished an all day move with me from Queens to Westchester. They packed everything and wound up filling an entire 26’ truck, also stopping at a storage unit. They also figured out solutions to getting stuff into the new location. Professional, fast and thorough. You’d be lucky to get this crew at your move. Highly recommend.

Customer service is EXCELLENT. My the moment Luke called about my request for a quote, I felt like the move was totally taken care of… and for a fair price. Everyone I dealt with on the phone was friendly, helpful and readily available.

Then— the movers I had (Agris and Jose) were epic! Totally professional, extremely fast, efficient and organized. I’m genuinely amazed at how smooth everything went.

Honestly good. Moving sucks, but our experience with Otter made it suck less. We did full packing and move. We had never hired packers before and it was really worth it - careful & efficient. Otter worked with us on price, some flexibility in day-of # of items, really speedy. Peter was a great and responsive coordinator and Mario oversaw a highly efficient move. Would recommend.

Otter Moving & Storage is a must!!! My move was a bit last minute, but they accommodated my schedule effortlessly. I’m so glad I found a moving company that’s reliable, efficient, reasonably priced, and genuinely careful with every step of the process.

Stephan and Shawn were patient and friendly throughout the customer service process. Movers-Agris, Jose, and Mike were all incredibly helpful — not only did they handle the move itself, but their box and packing service was a total game changer. If you don’t have the time (or energy) to pack everything yourself, it’s absolutely worth it.

The storage option was another huge plus. In NYC, it’s rare to have overlapping leases, so being able to store my belongings during the transition made everything so much less stressful.

Pro tip: try to book them outside the beginning or end of the month — you’ll likely save money!

Our moving experience with Otter was great!! The price was great and it was super easy to communicate with them about adjusting our inventory. On the day of our move they were very seamless about packing smaller items and loading everything up, and they were also great about our four floor walk up! Would definitely recommend

I used Otter for the first time after previously working with other moving companies. The experience was seamless from end to end - Tony, Vlad, and Jennifer were very helpful in providing a quote, and updating for changes to my move inventory. The quoting process was very transparent and efficient. I rented plastic bins for packing purposes, and the team was very flexible dropping them off at a time that works for me (including when I needed to request extra be delivered).

Biske and Camilo were my crew on moving day. They were both friendly, courteous, and highly efficient. They showed up at 7am, had my apartment completely packed and loaded by 9am, arrived at the new apartment by 10am and had everything unloaded, in order, and reassembled by 11am, leaving me most of the day to get unpacked and settled. This all made my moving experience a breeze and for a very fair price. I would highly recommend considering Otter for any future moves in the NYC area.

I usually ignore writing reviews, but the service and price I got from Otter Moving was incredibly well from the first call with Hans who set up everything, to the picking up my stuff in NYC by Nikolai.

First, I called Peace of Cake company as I see their trucks everywhere. But their quote was higher. Actually, because of their high price, I was giving up hiring a moving company and was thinking of renting a cargo van. But I had a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed and mattress that were very heavy and complicated to disassemble, so I didn’t know what to do. Then, my neighbour in the same building moved out a day ago and I saw Otter name on the truck. My neighbour was smart! When I called Otter and sent pictures of items, Hans quoted me almost the half price of what I got from Peace of Cake. The price was so good that it was almost equivalent if I hired cargo van and helpers to carry my stuff on and off the truck, driving from Astoria NY to Houston TX for 24 hours, gas, insurance, etc.

The day of the moving, Peter’s team with Nikolai came early in the morning. They were so fast wrapping, boxing, and disassembling that a one bedroom apartment was completely done within 1 hour!! Three guys of Peter’s team came on Saturday at 8:30am in the morning and left at 9:35am. Unbelievable! It was so fast and efficient that most of my neighbours were still sleeping, so didn’t have a problem waiting for the elevator.

In the future, when I need to move (and I will move) I know who to call. Many thanks to Hans and Peter’s team, including Nikolai!!

Agris and Pedro from Truck 19 moved us from Manhattan to Brooklyn and did a fantastic job. They arrived right at the start of the time window, and took fantastic care of our belongings. They were patient with the unpacking and helped arrange the apartment as we liked. 10/10 recommend.

best moving experience I've had in NYC - got a bunch of quotes from everyone and Otter was the best, movers showed up on time, were very kind and friendly, extremely careful with everything, no damage to single item and all was done quickly and easy, will use them again in the future - the movers even did an additional stop to grab and item which was very helpful. Hands down the most stress-free move I’ve ever experienced. You can tell they have an airtight customer experience process from submitting the estimate through the end of move day. Simon helped coordinate the move and led me through each step. Oscar and his team executed the move like gazelles. Seriously. And they were super fast. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and professional. The owners are real people who care, too. Moving sucks but this time it was a breeze!

For all those like me who read the reviews and thought this company was too good to be true, its not. Unbeatable prices and even better service. I must have changed my inventory 20 times and each time they were more than happy to help and responded so quickly! my whole moving team was beyond amazing, especially consider they got stuck in an elevator for 30 minutes, then just got right back to work. Could not recommend this company more!

Simon was a great representative, communicative and easy to work with. One note, if getting the packing service make sure to double check everything yourself, some items were almost left in old apartment. Also, check any big boxes before movers toss them out for leftover items.

My husband and I were becoming overwhelmed with packing for our move as we thought we could do it ourselves. Recently hired the Otter team having had used Piece of Cake last time. I was very happy with their level of service, they really went above and beyond, took a lot of care when packing and moving my items and were very friendly at all times. Slav and his team were friendly, efficient and good vibes the whole way - highly recommended! They moved our 2br from a narrow walkup without a scratch to anything. And at the other end there wasn't any parking close by so they trolleyed everything from the end of the street and despite this they still got it all done in a few hours. We had a few extra items and some big sprawling delicate plants and they were very accommodating. But I'd say most importantly, when you're stressed out of your mind and up all night packing, they brought the chill, friendly good vibes which really made the difference!

Otter Moving is amazing. We had a great experience with them and will definitely use them for any future moves. Vanja and Vladimir did an exceptional job. They were friendly and professional, and got everything moved out of our apartment within an hour! They took great care to make sure all of our furniture was thoroughly wrapped for transit as well. Our representative, Advan, was also very helpful and responsive to any questions we had before the move. Otter Moving made the move-out process stress-free at a great price. Edit after moving out of storage to the new apartment: We had a positive experience with Slav and team during the second half of our moving process as well. They unloaded all of our boxes and furniture quickly and carefully. The team was incredibly patient and took their time to make sure everything was placed in the right rooms for easy unpacking. Otter has become a top choice for moving in the city!

I had a great experience with Otter Moving for my NYC local move and will strongly recommend them to anyone who asks for a moving company. Duke and the Truck 5 team got my 1 bd apartment loaded, moved, and settled into my new place in record time with outstanding care.
I called around for a lot of quotes and actually was booked a month out with a different moving company until I realized that company had booked me on the wrong day only a few days before my move! Otter Moving came to my rescue, not only by being available on a few days’ notice with great pricing, but also by turning around quotes immediately, sending COIs less than an hour after I sent requirements, and quickly updating my inventory as I found more things that I needed to move. Their services are comprehensive and what were extra charges with some companies (wardrobe boxes, mats to protect furniture, etc.), Otter said “of course that’s included!”
The actual move execution exceeded all expectations. The Truck 5 team was prompt, professional, communicative, and effective. Once we’d confirmed what was moving/not and they got to work, there were whole areas of my apartment that were safely packed and loaded before I even noticed. Everything was unloaded at my destination quickly and they were a major help in getting us settled into our new place.
They'd already gone the extra mile, but to add to it, I had a pressboard dresser that I had damaged one of the legs on a long time ago. Noticing this while packing, Duke offered to reinforce it with a couple extra screws if I wanted. He added the extra hardware which matched the current screws already there and that dresser is now more solid than it's ever been!
For my next move, I will only be calling Otter Moving. Thanks again!

Best moving company ever! I was very nervous looking for a great quality company for my move that wouldn’t over charge me and they were awesome from beginning to end. They are affordable and had the best price hands down out of 2 other popular moving companies in nyc that I got quotes for. They packed everything up safely ( including my glass annd mirrors) and were extremely nice. I didn’t have to lift a finger! And they’re quick! Vanja and Mathew were the best!!!! I’ve done the research for you, all you have to do is use them!!! You won’t regret it

My wife and I recently got married and decided to move to a bigger apartment in NY. After almost half a year, we eventually decided to move from Williamsburg, BKN to Astoria, Queens. I thought of doing the work myself over a few weeks, but a friend of mine recommended Otter guys and this is what brings me here.
Otter's crew assisted me during my move, and I am thrilled with their exceptional care. Moving can be stressful, especially with delicate items (keep in mind my wife is an art collector, so my reliance on Otter had more than just a ''simple move'' at stake :D), but this team made sure everything arrived safely.

The crew arrived on time and were suuuper friendly, I didn't feel like I was hiring someone to do a paid job, but to genuinely help us get this move right!
They took the time to understand my concerns about her fragile items and did a really good job convincing her as well about their expertise.

Their packing skills were impressive. They used all sorts of materials like bubble wrap and padding to protect each and every delicate piece of art we/she had :) . They were meticulous and ensured everything was secure for transportation.

During loading and unloading, the crew continued to handle the items with care. They expertly maneuvered through tight spaces without causing any damage. Their attention to detail was commendable. Really, I am super amazed at how well are they providing their moving operations.

If anyone is reading this - go for Otter guys. Truly amazing professionals, but above all - people at the end of the day, trying to understand their customer and provide help, not just a paid service.

I even asked them to buy a T-Shirt and self-promote them from time to time. That speaks enough about my level of gratitude for what they've done.

Great experience all around - Vlad and his team were really fast and thorough, and the price couldn't be beat. I tried to do most of the packing myself, but they really came through and helped pack up a lot of the remaining things I hadn't figured out what to do with (as well as disassembly and reassembly of the bigger furniture). I had a lot more stuff going into the basement than I'd realized at first too, but the team was able to manage that without any hassle and I really appreciated it. I'll definitely be using them again, when the time comes!

Vlad and his team were great to work with during our move from New York to DC. They were prompt and responsive throughout the process and accommodating when we had things that didn’t fit into boxes. They made the process so much easier by packing our TV and hanging clothes themselves and communicated well the entire time. Highly recommend!
