I paid for a permit so they could park and they deducted the amount from my final invoice

Not the best movers ive ever had, but also not the worst. Were super passive aggressive towards me when they realized I had more items than expected (estimated 60 items, was closer to 100).

I offered to pay the difference for the extra items and they said it was no problem. But it WAS a problem bc they had sour attitudes the rest of the time. Then, very abruptly, they told me they werent going to move any more items and they were going to leave in 5 min.

Ultimately wish they had just communicated up front about their capacity. Ended up having to leave multiple boxes, plants and furniture on the curb bc they were leaving and i had to meet them at the next location.

For $1,500 i expected more.

They treated my items w care, were punctual, and they were fast.

But the passive aggressive attitude was so unprofessional and made an already stressful day even more stressful. Unfortunately I probably wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Otter was great from the beginning. Affordable, transparent pricing. They were very responsive, punctual with bin drop-off and were always in communication. Move day went smooth with Ogie, Mika and their team. They worked hard, quick and were friendly throughout the entire process. I would use them for a move again!

Mike, Ogi, Milos and Denis made our family’s move from NYC to Vermont a straightforward and seamless process. They were incredibly kind, professional and efficient as they helped us move TWO trucks (35 and 49) full of items to a new home. I would not hesitate to work with them again and am so happy that we chose Otter. Our family is so thankful as we start this next chapter!

I kept seeing ads on Facebook for Otter, so I decided to call and spoke with Hunter for basic information. I went on Google, Yelp, Reddit, and the BBB to see what the reviews were and they came in rated high! I spoke with Nikola to finalize the move. We reviewed my inventory 3x to make sure it was accurate. I had 2 movers Danny and Joshua arrive on time with such warm, friendly attitudes. I have to say what a fantastic experience this was. They were so professional, polite, friendly and strong 💪!!!!! The funny part...I thought my cats were locked up (which I was suppose to do) however one got out and ran down the hallway ( what a scene) Needless to say my hero Danny made sure we got the cat back in which was not part of his job! This is my first move so I was a nervous wreck but felt so relieved once it was done plus the price was so much cheaper than the other companies and I called at least 8 places and most had mixed to not so good reviews. I selected Otter because of the high ratings, and I am happy to share the outcome so people will feel good using a reputable company. Phase 1 is going from an apartment, then getting furniture disassembled, packaged up, and bins out the door. Now Phase 2 begins, my furniture is now en route heading down to South Carolina to be unloaded, reassembled into my new home. This shall be continued stay tuned 😉 😎 so far so good!! Thanks to Nikola, Danny, and Joshua. I will keep you all posted to the end result.

Milos and his partner were so kind and efficient. They moved me out of my 2 bed apartment in 1 hour and into a 1 bed in 2 hours- all assembly included. They were also patient when I asked them to rearrange my living room.

On move out day they noticed my filing cabinet was broken and took the time to fix it for me (without my asking) before leaving on move in day.

I used otter moving for the first time this month (long-distance move) and they were absolutely tremendous. My only knock against them is that there's not much communication between when you book them and the day before your move, but, once they reach out to confirm the move, they are READY. My move was seamless. The team was professional, caring, efficient, and affordable!

They made what’s usually a stressful process feel smooth and easy and at a very reasonable price. Alex was very responsive throughout the booking process and helpful when I needed to make updates to my inventory.

On moving day, Diego L and his team were fantastic,friendly, respectful of my space, and overall great to work with. They showed up on time for both pickup and drop-off and handled everything efficiently.

I moved from NYC to Philly and had a great experience with Otter Moving. They were quick and punctual and handled everything with care. Moving can be super overwhelming but they waited through any delays and were super patient. This was handled by Mez and Terry - Truck 18. Thanks again!

These guys were absolutely top-notch. I emailed about a quote, was given an itemized form, they called to confirm items, and I got a quote within the hour.

They followed up a few days before the move to confirm everything and included the quote which I could update with my new inventory to make sure it was still in line with the original quote.

The night before, the move team texted and were able to arrive even earlier than I had hoped. The team of three showed up at 7am, had everything (and we had a lot of stuff!) loaded up by 10am. They provided blankets to wrap furniture, extra boxes for oddly shaped items, and were super communicative during the process. We had extra items, so they communicated the extra fees and had the main office contact me to confirm the pricing (totally fair pricing because we did have a lot of items) before charging the extra amount.

Then they arrived at our new place minutes after us, parked the van on a very difficult street and managed to get all of our items up three flights of stairs, bed set up, and extra items in the storage in the basement all in about 2-3 hours.

Truck 14 these guys rock!!! So friendly, incredibly helpful, everything is always answered with “no problem, don’t worry”. Efficient, fast, patient, would recommend to everyone! We accidentally surprised them with multiple add ons (junk removal, picking up furniture, stairs, etc) and they were very flexible and accommodating. Will use for every move we do!

Today we moved some stuff for our friend. He’s from Queens, NY and moving to Bayonne, NJ. He had six boxes and three tv. We were assisted by David from Otter and his team was amazing. They were very swift and well coordinated. He first asked us to walk them through the walkways and then got the rest of the process. We began around 2:45PM today and completed the move around 5PM. Well coordinated and friendly. We had no complaints so we tipped them nicely for the service. Hope they will have more people like David who ensures that everything gets done efficiently. So just so all understand I have moved out of the BRONX more than 40 years ago, so all my connections and everything I know were gone. Now I had to rely on a search for movers from the BRONX to move furniture for me because I no longer live in the Bronx, . I live way out in New Jersey.. so I started researching I came up with three companies and called each one prices were fair, but still kept going back-and-forth and this company the outer moving company was the one that I chose because of all the review . I spoke to a nice man named STAN told him what I have three stops. He took all the notes down, came up with a price. Which was acceptable and agree. When he called me back the second time about four days before the move, he gave me another discount. I put down the deposit and like I said, the price was lower . The day before the move, he called me again, went over everything made sure tell me what time that they’ll be there and the next day the movers came . These two young men friendly and they worked in unison. They went over each time they went up and down. They arrived @ each destination in a timely manner. 3 stops. 1st Bronx, Ft, Dixs. South Jersey. Otter has helped me with two moves, one for work furniture and then to move furniture out of my grandmother’s home. It was about 10 pieces of furniture and a five+ hour drive. I used Otter moving company yesterday/today and wowwww! The office team was fantastic and the team of two movers, Mez and Terry were exceptional. The price was very reasonable and communication was superb. The movers went in to my apt in NY and packed everything in about 3.5 hours. The next day, they arrived in VA very early and completed the move in 4 hours. Overall, I highly recommend Otter. I am very pleased 😄

The Otter move from a house to a NYC apt went very smoothly (an hour driving distance for the move). From pick up to delivery, the two movers Vladimir (and I didn’t catch the other mover’s name) were friendly, professional, and fast. Everything worked out very well and we definitely recommend Otter to others!
The driver texted us the morning of the move with an ETA time, arrived at the pick up location exactly on time, and both men were friendly, highly professional in packing all furniture, strong in lifting everything, arrived at the NYC apt on time and unpacked the furniture in a fast timeframe, and all furniture was delivered great! They parked with their truck on the same busy street as the apt and moved all of our furniture professionally, quickly and smoothly! The cost to move was extremely fair (and we got estimates from several movers!; Otter had the BEST quote for the move!!) and we are very pleased with their work! I was in need of a company to move a machine from Connecticut to New York. I was a bit worried about having a moving company move the equipment rather than a rigging company. I contacted Otter Moving and spoke to Adam on the phone. Adam was very professional and explained in detail exactly how he planned on moving the machine. He was confident with the move so I decided to give him a chance and I am glad I did. The team at Otter Moving did an amazing job with the move and I would definitely use them again in the future.

I usually ignore writing reviews, but the service and price I got from Otter Moving was incredibly well from the first call with Hans who set up everything, to the picking up my stuff in NYC by Nikolai.

First, I called Peace of Cake company as I see their trucks everywhere. But their quote was higher. Actually, because of their high price, I was giving up hiring a moving company and was thinking of renting a cargo van. But I had a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed and mattress that were very heavy and complicated to disassemble, so I didn’t know what to do. Then, my neighbour in the same building moved out a day ago and I saw Otter name on the truck. My neighbour was smart! When I called Otter and sent pictures of items, Hans quoted me almost the half price of what I got from Peace of Cake. The price was so good that it was almost equivalent if I hired cargo van and helpers to carry my stuff on and off the truck, driving from Astoria NY to Houston TX for 24 hours, gas, insurance, etc.

The day of the moving, Peter’s team with Nikolai came early in the morning. They were so fast wrapping, boxing, and disassembling that a one bedroom apartment was completely done within 1 hour!! Three guys of Peter’s team came on Saturday at 8:30am in the morning and left at 9:35am. Unbelievable! It was so fast and efficient that most of my neighbours were still sleeping, so didn’t have a problem waiting for the elevator.

In the future, when I need to move (and I will move) I know who to call. Many thanks to Hans and Peter’s team, including Nikolai!!

Otter Moving Company is in the business of making moving far less stressful. I had the pleasure of hiring the team for my family's recent out of state move, and they absolutely went out of their way to make sure it was as smooth as possible. Everything, including our dozens of plants and precious cargo, arrived as we hoped. The moving team were EXCEPTIONALLY DILIGENT - they immediately hit the ground running when it came to moving out our boxes/bags and the same when they arrived to bring everything into our new location. If you're pondering on which company to go for, make this the first on your list. As I unpack my final box, I'd be remiss if I didn't write this review to express my gratitude.
